Infused Tissue Device

Abstract

The present invention relates generally to an infused tissue device that is comprised of a tissue box and a plurality of tissues within the box. The tissues are infused with aromatherapeutic scents to promote feelings of wellness, to alleviate anxiety, and/or to promote wellness in the immune system. The box is preferably rectangular in shape and is further comprised of a continuous opening on the top surface, such that the tissues may be pulled out of the box from the top surface and replace themselves as they are pulled out.

Claims

1. An infused tissue device comprising: a tissue box; and a plurality of tissues stored within the tissue box, wherein the plurality of tissues are infused with a compound.

2. The infused tissue device of claim 1, wherein the compound the plurality of tissues is infused with is a lotion.

3. The infused tissue device of claim 1, wherein the compound the plurality of tissues is infused with is a medicated compound.

4. The infused tissue device of claim 1, wherein the compound the plurality of tissues is infused with is an organic or an inorganic compound of a fruit, a plant, a herb, or a mineral.

5. An infused tissue device comprising: a tissue box; and a plurality of tissues comprised of a biodegradable cellulose fiber, wherein the tissues are stored within the tissue box and are infused with a compound.

The infused tissue device of claim 5, wherein the compound is comprised of at least one of a lemon based compound or oil, a lavender based compound or oil, a eucalyptus based compound or oil, a peppermint based compound or oil, a hibiscus based compound or oil, a lemongrass based compound or oil, a peach based compound or oil, a wild berry based compound or oil, a citrus based compound or oil, a chamomile based compound or oil, a clove based compound or oil, a pine based compound or oil, a coffee based compound or oil, a grapefruit based compound or oil, a cedarwood based compound or oil, a jasmine based compound or oil, a rose based compound or oil, and a sage based compound or oil.

7. The infused tissue device of claim 5, wherein the tissue box is comprised of a cardboard, a plastic, a ceramic or a glass material.

The infused tissue device of claim 5, wherein a surface of the tissue box is further comprised of a plurality of indicia, such as a pattern, a logo, an emblem, an image, a symbol, a design, a letter, a word, a character, an animal, an advertisement, a brand, or an aromatherapeutic compound that the plurality of tissues of the infused tissue device are infused with.

9. An infused tissue device comprising: a tissue box comprised of a top surface, a first set of generally parallel side surfaces, a second set of generally parallel sides surfaces, and a bottom surface; and a plurality of tissues stored within the tissue box, wherein the plurality of tissues are infused with an aromatherapeutic compound.

The infused tissue device of claim 9, wherein the compound is comprised of a lemon based compound or oil, a lavender based compound or oil, a eucalyptus based compound or oil, a peppermint based compound or oil, a hibiscus based compound or oil, a lemongrass based compound or oil, a peach based compound or oil, a wild berry based compound or oil, a citrus based compound or oil, a chamomile based compound or oil, a clove based compound or oil, a pine based compound or oil, a coffee based compound or oil, a grapefruit based compound or oil, a cedarwood based compound or oil, a jasmine based compound or oil, a rose based compound or oil, and a sage based compound or oil.

11. The infused tissue device of claim 9, wherein the tissue box is comprised of a cardboard, a plastic, a ceramic or a glass material.

The infused tissue device of claim 9, wherein any surface of the tissue box is further comprised of a plurality of indicia such as a pattern, a logo, an emblem, an image, a symbol, a design, a letter, a word, a character, an animal, an advertisement, a brand, or an aromatherapeutic compound that the plurality of tissues of the infused tissue device are infused with.

13. The infused tissue device of claim 9, wherein the plurality of tissues are made of a biodegradable cellulose fiber.

14. The infused tissue device of claim 9, wherein the plurality of tissues are made of a recycled material.

15. The infused tissue device of claim 9, wherein the plurality of tissues are made of a wood-based material.

16. The infused tissue device of claim 9, wherein the top surface is comprised of a continuous opening.

17. The infused tissue device of claim 16, wherein the plurality of tissues can be pulled from the continuous opening.

18. The infused tissue device of claim 9, wherein the tissue box is shaped like a cube or triangular prism.

19. The infused tissue device of claim 10, wherein the infused tissue device is comprised of a plurality of packs of tissues that each contain a differing compound.

20. The infused tissue device of claim 19, wherein each tissue is color-coded based on each compound the tissues are infused with.

There also exists a long felt need in the art for an infused tissue device that provides a more enriching user experience through aromatherapy. Further, there exists a long felt need in the art for an infused tissue device that may be infused with aromas that may seek to alleviate the unique symptoms or ailments the user is experiencing at that time, whether those symptoms be due to allergies, emotional distress, infection, etc. In addition, there exists a long felt need in the art for an infused tissue device that may be used in settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, preschools, therapists' offices, and other high stress or emotionally-charged settings, to promote feelings of relaxation and healing.

[0016] The present invention, in one exemplary embodiment, is comprised of an infused tissue device that is comprised of a plurality of tissues infused with aromatherapy scents to promote feelings of calmness, relaxation or healing. The invention is intended for use in high stress, or highly emotionally-charged environments in order to encourage calmness and relaxation amongst its users, although it may be used in a variety of settings not explicitly stated, included in the forementioned category. The invention may be infused with a variety of aromatherapeutic scents, including but not limited to, lavender, eucalyptus, citrus and any flower or herbal scent, etc. The tissues of the device are stored within a box which may be comprised of cardboard, or any other such material fit to hold the infused tissue device. The arrangement of the tissues inside the box may be folded in such a way that the removal of one tissue may bring up with it through the slit opening in the box the next available tissue, making for quick and simple accessibility to the user.

[0017] Referring initially to the drawings, FIG. 1 illustrates a perspective view of one embodiment of the infused tissue device 100 of the present invention. The device 100 is primarily comprised of a tissue box 140 having a generally rectangular body that stores a plurality of tissues 120, that may be infused with a variety of scented aromatherapeutic compounds. In differing embodiments, the tissue box 140 can be manufactured from a plurality of materials, including but not limited to, cardboard, plastic, reusable ceramic, or glass material, etc., or any other suitable material as is known in the art, but is preferably manufactured of cardboard so as to be disposable and simple to store. In addition, the tissue box 140 may be manufactured in any suitable color or design as is known in the art. Furthermore, the top surface 150 and/or side surfaces 170 may be comprised of a plurality of indicia 180 in the form of patterns, logos, emblems, images, symbols, designs, letters, words, characters, animals, advertisements, brands, or any aromatherapeutic compound, etc., that infuses the plurality of tissues.

[0018] In the preferred embodiment of the device 100 shown in FIG. 1, the body is shaped generally like a rectangular prism that has a top surface 150, two sets of generally parallel side surfaces 170 and a flat bottom surface 160. In differing embodiments, the body may be a variety of shapes, including but not limited to, a cube, a triangular prism, etc., or any other suitable shape as is known in the art, insofar as the bottom surface 160 may lie flat against a surface. The top surface 150 further contains a continuous opening 152, wherein the tissues 120 may be taken from, and simultaneously replaced by their folding nature, as seen in existing tissue boxes known in the art.

[0019] FIG. 2 illustrates a graphical view of a plurality of compounds 200 that infuse the tissue device 100. As noted, the device 100 is comprised of a plurality of tissues 120. In differing embodiments, the tissue body 130 may be made of any known tissue material known in the art such as, but not limited to, biodegradable cellulose fibers, recycled material, paper-based material, wood-based material, etc. The body 130 may also contain various infused compounds 200, such as but not limited to, lotions, medicated compounds, and/or scents, etc. The body 130 of each tissue 120 is also preferably infused with an organic and/or inorganic compound of any fruit, plant, herb, mineral or any combination thereof. Said compounds 200 may include, but are not limited to, a lemon 202 based compound or oil, a lavender 204 based compound or oil, a eucalyptus 206 based compound or oil, a peppermint 208 based compound or oil, a hibiscus 210 based compound or oil, a lemongrass 212 based compound or oil, a peach 214 based compound or oil, a wild berry 216 based compound or oil, a citrus 218 based compound or oil, a chamomile 220 based compound or oil, a clove 222 based compound or oil, a pine 224 based compound or oil, a coffee 226 based compound or oil, a grapefruit 228 based compound or oil, a cedarwood 230 based compound or oil, a jasmine 232 based compound or oil, a rose 234 based compound or oil and a sage 236 based compound or oil, etc., or any other suitable compound as is known in the art.

[0020] All of said compounds 200 offer the user various health and/or emotional benefits. For example, lemon 202 oil is known for its mucolytic properties, which can be advantageous in loosening mucus in the sinuses and airways. Lavender 204 has a wide range of advantageous properties, ranging from its antihistamine capabilities to its anxiolytic capabilities, making it beneficial not only for the alleviation of psychological and emotional stress, but also immune system and/or allergy issues. Eucalyptus 206 is best known for its properties of opening airways and clearing breathing because of its anti-inflammatory properties. Peppermint oil 208 is also a natural antihistamine, with anti-inflammatory properties that are well-known for the reduction of pain in headaches or migraines. Peppermint oil 208 is also associated with decreased fatigue.

[0021] Hibiscus 210 is known for its moisturizing properties, as well its pleasant scent, which is advantageous during cold seasons where dry nose and lips may be common among users. Lemongrass 212 has antibacterial properties that may positively contribute to a reduction in bacterial load in the nasal passage, thus enhancing the immune system's response. Peach 214 is known for its benefits in uplifting mood and reducing stress levels, as well as its skin healing abilities due its high antioxidant concentration, making it another excellent choice during the dry season. Wild berry is similar to peach in its anxiety-reduction properties and contributions to overall well-being, as well as being well-known as an expectorant for loosening phlegm. Citrus 218 oil is most commonly utilized in balancing mood, decreasing blood pressure and relieving stress.

[0022] Chamomile 220 is also a calming fragrance, commonly known for its abilities to relieve anxiety, working by inhibiting an enzyme commonly targeted in analgesics, making it mechanistically similar, but having broader effects in emotional and psychological well-being. Clove 222 is an antimicrobial, aiding the immune system in its potential fight against microbes in the nasal passage. It is also a natural anti-inflammatory, inhibiting the synthesis of a pro-inflammatory molecule called prostaglandins. Pine oil 224 is an anti-inflammatory as well, in addition to having a pleasant scent. It has been also purported to be used in the treatment of acne, eczema and rosacea, making it an ideal choice for users with sensitive skin. Coffee 226 is a natural stimulant in addition to a well-loved scent, which also contains antioxidant properties that are useful for skin healing.

[0023] Grapefruit oil 228 is uplifting and balancing because of its interactions with the vagus nerve, which connects the central nervous system to the heart and digestive tract. Grapefruit oil 228 is also unique in its ability to stimulate this nerve and induce autonomic nervous system unity. Cedarwood 230 is known for its treatments in scarring and anti-inflammatory abilities. Jasmine 232 is also used in the stimulation of the vagus nerve and thus has positive effects on the autonomic nervous system, otherwise known as the “calming” part of the human nervous system. Rose oil 234 is known for its antibacterial and alleviation of depressive symptoms via induction of endorphins, and reduction of cortisol release. Sage oil 236 is unique in its purported benefits of improving memory and cognition, as well as reducing sinus inflammation and reducing oxidative stress in the body.

Further, one embodiment of the device 100 may be comprised of a plurality of packs of tissues 120 that each contain differing infused compounds 200 as mentioned supra. In addition, differing tissues 120 that are comprised of differing aromatherapeutic compounds 200 may be color-coded based on the color of the compound 200 that is infused into the tissue.
