    Abstract

A method for concealing skin contours in a groin area for fastening to a garment includes a method having the steps of providing a cover and positioning the cover between a pair of leg openings of the garment thereafter. A bottom surface of the cover abuts to an interior surface of the lower garment and the cover fastens to the lower garment. A top surface of the cover abuts to the groin area of the user wearing the lower garment, wherein the cover conceals contours of the groin.

    Claims

    1. A method for increasing comfort and aesthetic appearance of a garment worn directly against a person's groin, said method including the steps of: providing a cover; positioning the cover between a pair of leg openings of the garment; abutting a bottom surface of said cover to an interior surface of the lower garment; fastening said cover to said lower garment; and abutting a top surface of said cover to the groin area of the user wearing the lower garment, wherein said cover conceals contours of the groin.

    2. The method for concealing a user through a lower garment of claim 1, wherein the step of providing said cover further includes said cover having a perimeter edge including a front edge and a pair of side edges protruding rearwardly from said front edge to form a triangular shape.

    3. The method for concealing a user through a lower garment of claim 1, wherein the step of providing said cover includes said cover having an interior layer being flexible, said interior layer comprising an elastomeric material.

    4. The method for concealing a user through a lower garment of claim 3, wherein the step of providing said cover further includes said cover having an exterior layer enwraps an entirety of said interior layer, said exterior layer comprising bamboo textile.

    5. The method for concealing a user through a lower garment of claim 1, wherein the step of providing said cover further includes said cover having a plurality of apertures extending through said cover wherein each said aperture extends through each of said top and bottom surfaces, said apertures being configured for ventilating said cover.

    6. The method for concealing a user through a lower garment of claim 2, wherein said step of abutting said cover to said garment includes the step of sewing the cover to said garment with thread, said thread being positioned along said perimeter edge of said cover.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0020] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 8 thereof, a new groin cover embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

[0021] As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 8, the method for concealing skin contours in a groin area 10 generally comprises a cover 12 having a top surface 14, a bottom surface 16, and a perimeter edge 18. The bottom surface 16 is abuttable to an interior surface 22 of a lower garment 20 worn by a user 38, and the top surface 14 is abuttable to a groin area 40 of the user 38. The lower garment 20 typically will comprise undergarments, a bottom set of a swimsuit, shorts, pants, or any other conventional lower garment 20. The perimeter edge 18 typically includes a front edge 24 and a pair of side edges 26 protruding rearwardly from the front edge 24 to form a triangular shape. The cover 12 may have an interior layer 28 that is flexible and may comprise an elastomeric material such as rubber, polyurethane, neoprene, silicone, or any conventional elastomeric material. The cover 12 has an exterior layer 30 that may enwrap an entirety of the interior layer 28. The exterior layer 30 normally comprises bamboo textile being flexible, moisture absorbable, and hypoallergenic.

[0022] The cover 12 may have a plurality of apertures 32 extending through the cover 12 wherein each of the apertures 32 extends through each of the top 14 and bottom 16 surfaces. The apertures 32 are configured for ventilating the cover 12 to facilitate the reduction of perspiration between a top surface 14 of the cover 12 and the groin area 40 of the user 38. A pair of adhesive strips 34 may be removably coupled to the bottom surface 16 of the cover 12 to facilitate fastening the cover 12 to the garment 20.

[0023] In one embodiment, the cover 12 is provided and positioned between a pair of leg openings 36 of the lower garment 20. The bottom surface 16 of the cover 12 abuts the interior surface 22 of the lower garment 20 and the cover 12 is fastened to the lower garment 20 thereafter. The top surface 14 of the cover 12 abuts the groin area 40 of the user 38 wearing the lower garment 20, wherein the cover 12 conceals contours of the groin. The cover 12 is sewn to the lower garment 20 with thread 42 to fasten the cover 12 to the lower garment 20. The thread 42 is normally positioned along said perimeter edge 18 of the cover 12. The pair of adhesive strips 34 may be coupled to the bottom surface 16 of the cover 12 prior to sewing the cover 12 to the lower garment 20 to facilitate retention the cover 12 to the lower garment 20 at a desired location and to prevent shifting of the cover 12 relative to the garment 20.

[0024] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0025] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word comprising is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded.

[0026] A reference to an element by the indefinite article a does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
