Abstract
A three-fold tie with a body folded twice by a gatefold, includes: a body of fabric where body part fabric is folded once by a gatefold and folded once more by a gatefold so that both ends overlap; a blade portion of fabric where sword-shaped blade part fabric is folded once by a gatefold so that both ends overlap and fabric part of the overlapped upper end is folded inward once more; and a tail portion of fabric where sword-shaped tail part fabric is folded once by a gatefold so that both ends overlap and fabric part of the overlapped upper end is folded inward once more.
Claims

A method of manufacturing a three-fold tie with a body folded twice by a gatefold, the method comprising: forming a body part fabric made of a pattern forming seven panels by dividing the body part fabric with six folding lines in a longitudinal direction; forming a step difference having a width narrower than a width of the body part fabric at one side of the body part fabric, forming a blade part fabric whose end has a sword shape, forming a step difference having a width narrower than a width of the blade part fabric at the other side of the body part fabric, and forming a tail part fabric whose end has a sword shape; after adding a lining to the blade part fabric and the tail part fabric, folding the body part fabric once by a gatefold along the folding line, and folding the folded body part fabric once more by a gatefold to form a body; forming two folding lines by formation of the body to form the blade part fabric as three panels and folding the blade part fabric once by a gatefold to form a blade portion in which a fabric part of an overlapping upper end is folded inward once more; and forming two folding lines positioned to oppose the blade portion to form the tail part fabric as three panels and folding the tail part fabric once by a gatefold to form a tail portion in which a fabric part of an overlapping upper end is folded inward once more, wherein the body and the blade portion are connected while a cross section of a fabric part exposed to the outside of the blade portion and a cross section of a fabric part exposed to the outside of the body are symmetrical at one side of the body, and the body and the tail portion are connected while a cross section of a fabric part exposed to the outside of the body and a cross section of the fabric part exposed to the outside of the tail portion are symmetrical at the other side of the body.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the step difference between the body part fabric and the blade part fabric is cut at any one of a right angle, an acute angle, an obtuse angle, and a fillet.
3. The method of claim 1, wherein the step difference between the body part fabric and the tail part fabric is cut at any one of a right angle, an acute angle, an obtuse angle, and a fillet.
4. The method of claim 1, wherein the gatefold of the blade portion and the tail portion includes folding the entire fabric so that both ends overlap.
5. The method of claim 4, further comprising sewing two panels formed by folding by the gatefold with a single thread.
