DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
[0014] Referring now to the drawings, and more particularly
[0015] As will become more apparent as the description of the mounting frame assembly 10 proceeds, the assembly can be mounted on nearly any type of vehicle, including mid- to full-size pickup trucks, vans, tractors and the like. Moreover, the mounting frame assembly 10 is especially suited for mounting thereon nearly any type of commercially available snow plow blade.
[0016] Referring now to
[0017] The mounting frame is attached to the snow plow at the bottom horizontal member and attached to the vehicle at the top horizontal member. The attachment means can include screws, nuts and bolts, welding, and other similar means.
[0018] The mounting frame is preferably fabricated from rugged, durable material, such as steel, iron, or other metals. However the frame may be constructed of durable polymers, composites, or the like.
[0019] The specific shape and dimensions of the counting frame will vary depending on the size of the snow plow and vehicle to which it is attached. Preferably the top and bottom horizontal members are three dimensional rectangles and the vertical member is a pyramidal trapezoid in shape.
