    Abstract

The SOUTHERNLOOP can be used by any person, but is especially suited for individuals with long hair, who have trouble sleeping due to their hair, or desire body and waviness in their hair.

The SOUTHERNLOOP uses a material sheath to hold hair in place, making it more manageable. When following the instructions, the product holds hair off the neck for showering, sleeping, and exercising, while also sculpting the hair into full bodied waves.

    Claims

    1. The device is a fabric sheath designed to hold hair in place and provide a method of controlling the hair without using pins or clips. In addition to allowing for easier sleep for persons with long hair, it provides body and waves to the hair. The item is created by folding a section of cloth over itself, and then passing a needle repeatedly through and along the length of the overlapping portion in sequentially opposite directions and through sequentially spaced holes in said overlapping portions; thereby creating a sheath or tube open on only one end from the cloth. Specific diagrams showing this process are included herein. Once the sheath or tube is created, the end user utilizes the sheath by placing the person's hair into the sheath overnight while sleeping, allowing for easier sleep and the creation of waves in the hair.
