Abstract
A multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials is a liner that can be superimposed onto the surface of a device in order to protect the surface from environmental hazards. To accomplish this, the coating has a base adhesive layer, an intermediary insulation layer, an interstitial adhesive layer, and a lubricating material layer. The base adhesive layer adheres to the device's surface thus enabling the coating to form a sealing liner. The intermediary insulation layer is positioned in between the base adhesive layer and the interstitial adhesive layer. As a result, the intermediary insulation layer prevents negative chemical interactions between the base adhesive layer and the interstitial adhesive layer. The lubricating material layer is super imposed onto the interstitial adhesive layer to provide a friction-reducing coating for the device's surface.
Claims
1. A multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials comprising: a base adhesive layer; an at least one intermediary insulation layer; an at least one interstitial adhesive layer; an at least one lubricating material layer; the intermediary insulation layer being superimposed onto the base adhesive layer; the interstitial adhesive layer being superimposed onto the intermediary insulation layer, opposite to the base adhesive layer; and the lubricating material layer being superimposed onto the interstitial adhesive layer, opposite to the intermediary insulation layer.
2. The multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials as claimed in claim 1 comprising: the base adhesive layer being composed of chrome.
3. The multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials as claimed in claim 1 comprising: the base adhesive layer being composed of titanium.
4. The multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials as claimed in claim 1 comprising: the base adhesive layer being composed of a mixture of titanium and chrome.
5. The multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials as claimed in claim 1 comprising: the intermediary insulation layer being composed of hafnium oxide.
6. The multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials as claimed in claim 1 comprising: the interstitial adhesive layer being composed of chrome.
7. The multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials as claimed in claim 1 comprising: the interstitial adhesive layer being composed of titanium.
8. The multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials as claimed in claim 1 comprising: the interstitial adhesive layer being composed of a mixture of titanium and chrome.
9. The multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials as claimed in claim 1 comprising: the lubricating material layer being composed of gold.
10. The multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials as claimed in claim 1 comprising: a thickness of the base adhesive layer; a thickness of the intermediary insulation layer; and the thickness of the base adhesive layer being less than the thickness of the intermediary insulation layer.
11. The multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials as claimed in claim 1 comprising: a thickness of the intermediary insulation layer; a thickness of the interstitial adhesive layer; and the thickness of the interstitial adhesive layer being less than the thickness of the intermediary insulation layer.
12. The multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials as claimed in claim 1 comprising: a thickness of the interstitial adhesive layer; a thickness of the lubricating material layer; and the thickness of the lubricating material layer being less than the thickness of the intermediary insulation layer.
13. A multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials comprising: a base adhesive layer; an at least one intermediary insulation layer; an at least one interstitial adhesive layer; an at least one lubricating material layer; a thickness of the base adhesive layer; a thickness of the intermediary insulation layer; a thickness of the interstitial adhesive layer; a thickness of the lubricating material layer; the intermediary insulation layer being superimposed onto the base adhesive layer; the interstitial adhesive layer being superimposed onto the intermediary insulation layer, opposite to the base adhesive layer; the lubricating material layer being superimposed onto the interstitial adhesive layer, opposite to the intermediary insulation layer; the thickness of the base adhesive layer being less than the thickness of the intermediary insulation layer; the thickness of the interstitial adhesive layer being less than the thickness of the intermediary insulation layer; and the thickness of the lubricating material layer being less than the thickness of the intermediary insulation layer.
14. The multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials as claimed in claim 133 comprising: the base adhesive layer being composed of chrome.
15. The multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials as claimed in claim 13 comprising: the base adhesive layer being composed of titanium.
16. The multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials as claimed in claim 13 comprising: the base adhesive layer being composed of a mixture of titanium and chrome.
17. The multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials as claimed in claim 13 comprising: the intermediary insulation layer being composed of hafnium oxide.
18. The multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials as claimed in claim 13 comprising: the interstitial adhesive layer being composed of chrome.
19. The multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials as claimed in claim 13 comprising: the interstitial adhesive layer being composed of titanium.
20. The multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials as claimed in claim 13 comprising: the interstitial adhesive layer being composed of a mixture of titanium and chrome; and the lubricating material layer being composed of gold.
