COSMETIC CONTAINER WITH PHOTOGRAPH SLEEVE

Abstract

The present invention comprises a cosmetics container with a photograph sleeve incorporated into the container so that the photograph inserted into the photograph sleeve is be visible from the exterior of the cosmetics container.

Claims

1. A cosmetics container comprising: a top; a bottom; at least four sides wherein at least two opposing sides are comprised of transparent material; an interior; an exterior; at least one opening to access the interior of the cosmetics container; and a photograph sleeve affixed to at least one transparent side such that a photograph inserted into the photograph sleeve is visible from the exterior of the cosmetics container.

2. The cosmetics container according to claim 1, wherein the photograph sleeve accommodates a photograph that is four inches by six inches in dimension.

3. The cosmetics container according to claim 1, wherein the photograph sleeve is affixed to the exterior surface of at least one transparent side of the cosmetics container.

4. The cosmetics container according to claim 1, wherein the photograph sleeve is affixed to the interior surface of one transparent side of the cosmetics container.

5. The cosmetics container according to claim 1, wherein the photograph sleeve is comprised of transparent material.

6. The cosmetics container according to claim 1, wherein an opening is located on the top of the cosmetics container.

7. The cosmetics container according to claim 1, wherein an opening is located on at least one of the sides of the cosmetics container.

8. The cosmetics container according to claim 1, wherein an opening can be held closed by a fastening device.

9. The cosmetics container according to claim 1, wherein at least one storage pouch is incorporated onto at least one side of the cosmetics container.

10. A cosmetics container comprising: At least six total sides wherein each side has an opposite counterpart and at least two opposite sides are comprised of transparent material; an interior; an exterior; at least one opening to access the interior of the cosmetics container; and a photograph sleeve affixed to at least one transparent side such that a photograph inserted into the photograph sleeve is visible from the exterior of the cosmetics container.

11. The cosmetics container according to claim 10, wherein the photograph sleeve accommodates a photograph that is four inches by six inches in dimension.

12. The cosmetics container according to claim 10, wherein the photograph sleeve is affixed to the exterior surface of at least one transparent side of the cosmetics container.

13. The cosmetics container according to claim 10, wherein the photograph sleeve is affixed to the interior surface of one transparent side of the cosmetics container.

14. The cosmetics container according to claim 10, wherein the photograph sleeve is comprised of transparent material.

15. The cosmetics container according to claim 10, wherein an opening is located on at least one of the sides of the cosmetics container.

16. The cosmetics container according to claim 10, wherein the opening can be held closed by a fastening device.

17. The cosmetics container according to claim 10, wherein at least one storage pouch is incorporated onto at least one side of the cosmetics container.

[0025] Referring now to the invention in more detail, in FIG. 1 there is shown a front view of the cosmetics container wherein a photograph sleeve 9 is affixed to the transparent front side 10 of the cosmetics container. The cosmetics container comprises at least two opposing transparent surfaces, and the photograph sleeve 9 may be affixed to the interior or exterior surface of any transparent side of the cosmetics container. In one embodiment, the photograph sleeve may be affixed to one or more sides of the cosmetics container by any suitable means, such as by stitching three of the four edges of the photograph sleeve to the side of the cosmetics container so that a photograph may be placed into the pocket created between the photograph sleeve and the cosmetics bag. Of the many various embodiments of the present invention, FIG. 1. shows one embodiment in which the photograph sleeve 9 is affixed to the outside of the cosmetics bag, though the photograph sleeve 9 may be affixed to, attached to, or integrated into the interior or exterior of the cosmetics container. The embodiment shown in FIG. 1. also includes a top opening 11 that may be closed with a top fastening device 12, such as a zipper, buttons, snaps, laces, or other equivalent, to enclose the contents within the cosmetics container.

[0026] Referring now to FIG. 2 there is shown a rear view of the cosmetics container showing the transparent back side 13 of the cosmetics container. The photograph sleeve 9 is affixed to either the interior or exterior surface of the front side of the cosmetics container and it is visible through the back side 13 of the cosmetics container in FIG. 2 due to the transparency of the front and back sides of the cosmetics container. FIG. 2 shows the top fastening device 12 shown in FIG. 1, as well as a back pouch 14 with a rear zipper 15 for additional storage space.

In one embodiment, a transparent photograph sleeve may be affixed to the exterior of the cosmetics container such that a photograph placed in the photograph sleeve is visible through the photograph sleeve. In an alternative embodiment, a photograph sleeve may be affixed to the interior of one of the transparent sides of the cosmetics container such that a photograph placed in the photograph sleeve is visible through the transparent side upon which the photograph sleeve is affixed.

[0032] Referring now to FIG. 8 there is shown a rear view of the cosmetics container wherein a photograph sleeve 9 has been affixed to the front side of the cosmetics container. FIG. 8 illustrates the visibility of a photograph placed in the photograph sleeve 9 so that the photograph is visible from the back side 13 of the cosmetics container. In one embodiment, a transparent or opaque photograph sleeve may be affixed to the exterior of the cosmetics container such that a photograph placed in the photograph sleeve is visible through the transparent surface to which the photograph sleeve is affixed as well as the opposite transparent surface. In an alternative embodiment, a transparent photograph sleeve may be affixed to the interior of one of the transparent sides of the cosmetics container such that a photograph placed in the photograph sleeve is visible through the transparent photograph sleeve as well as through the transparent side of the cosmetics container that is opposite the side upon which the photograph sleeve is affixed.

[0033] The cosmetics container may be made from any material, however transparent sides of the cosmetics container may be made from any transparent materials, including but not limited to plastic, vinyl, acrylic, glass, and/or plexiglass.

[0034] Other various embodiments of the invention include a means to place a photograph into the photograph sleeve from various sides of the photograph sleeve.

[0035] The advantages of the present invention include, without limitation, easy recognition of the individual on which the contents of a cosmetic bag are to be used, lowered risk of mixing up cosmetics bags, the ability to hold an industry-standard photograph, etc.
