Abstract
A bumper assembly is provided for a vehicle having a frame. The bumper assembly includes a winch cradle defining a cradle mounting aperture corresponding to a first frame aperture of the frame. A bumper member is configured to at least partially surround the winch cradle and extend laterally from the winch cradle across a portion of the vehicle. The bumper member defines a bumper mounting aperture corresponding to a second frame aperture. The winch cradle is configured to couple to the vehicle frame independent of the bumper member and the bumper member is configured to couple to the vehicle frame independent of the winch cradle.
Claims
1. A bumper assembly for a vehicle having a frame, comprising: a winch cradle defining a cradle mounting aperture corresponding to a first frame aperture of the frame; and a bumper member configured to at least partially surround the winch cradle and extend laterally from the winch cradle across a portion of the vehicle, the bumper member defining a bumper mounting aperture corresponding to a second frame aperture; wherein the winch cradle is configured to couple to the vehicle frame independent of the bumper member and the bumper member is configured to couple to the vehicle frame independent of the winch cradle.
2. The bumper assembly of claim 1, further comprising a facia member extending across an open portion of the bumper member to substantially enclose the winch cradle.
3. The bumper assembly of claim 2, wherein the facia member is directly coupled to the bumper member.
4. The bumper assembly of claim 1, further comprising: a first facia member configured to extend across an open portion of the bumper member to substantially enclose the winch cradle; and a second facia member extending configured to extend across the open portion of the bumper member in the absence of the winch cradle.

7. The bumper assembly of claim 1, wherein the bumper member is a front bumper member configured to be coupled to a front portion of a vehicle.

A vehicle step assembly for use with a rear bumper of a vehicle, comprising: a base portion configured to be fixedly coupled to the rear bumper, the base portion defining mounting apertures for fastening the base portion to the rear bumper assembly and a tubular body; a step extension member slidably received within the tubular body, the step extension member having a distal end and defining a plurality of height adjustment apertures corresponding to a plurality of discrete positions of the step extension member relative to the base portion; a step platform fixedly coupled to the distal end; and a bolt assembly coupled to the base portion and selectively extending through a height adjustment aperture to selectively fixedly couple the step extension member to the base portion in each of the plurality of discrete positions.
9. The vehicle step assembly of claim 8, wherein the bolt assembly comprises a clamping bolt assembly.

The vehicle step assembly of claim 8, wherein the plurality of height adjustment apertures comprises a first aperture corresponding to a stowed position of the step platform, a second aperture corresponding to an extended position of the step platform, and at least a third aperture disposed between the first aperture and the second aperture corresponding to an intermediate position of the step platform.
11. The vehicle step assembly of claim 8, wherein the tubular body defines a polygonal aperture.
12. The vehicle step assembly of claim 11, wherein the step extension member defines a polygonal cross-section corresponding to the polygonal aperture.
13. The vehicle step assembly of claim 12, wherein the step extension defines a square cross-section.
14. A multifunction upper fender assembly configured to replace an original equipment upper fender on a vehicle, the multi-function upper fender assembly comprising: an upper fender body configured to be coupled adjacent a hood and windshield of the vehicle, a back surface of the upper fender body defining at least one mounting aperture for coupling the upper fender body to the vehicle; a mounting surface coupled to the upper fender body, the mounting surface defining a mounting point for at least one vehicle accessory; and a detachable cover member disposed between the mounting surface and the upper fender body.
15. The multifunction upper fender assembly of claim 14, wherein the mounting surface is substantially planar and substantially horizontal when installed on a vehicle.
16. The multifunction upper fender assembly of claim 14, wherein the upper fender body and mounting surface define an opening that is selectively accessible via the detachable cover member.
17. The multifunction upper fender assembly of claim 16, wherein the opening provides access to an electrical system of the vehicle.
18. The multifunction upper fender assembly of claim 14, wherein the cover member includes an electric power port.
19. The multifunction upper fender assembly of claim 14, wherein the cover member includes a communication port.
20. The multifunction upper fender assembly of claim 19, wherein the communication port is a USB port.
