Abstract

The Outer frame has an upper ring that is 33.02 cm in diameter. This ring is attached to a lower ring that is 25.4 cm in diameter and are held together by 4 v shaped posts that rise 2.54 cm from the bottom ring to the height of the top but extends 1.27 cm at a 90 degrees angle.

The outer frame has a handle that is 3.81 cm at its widest point and is 20.32 cm in length.

The Inner grill

The second part is the inner grill that is circular in shape and fits inside the outer frame. It is 26.16 cm in diameter and sits on the lower ring which is a part of the outer frame. This circular grill is comprised of 3 parts, a center piece and two rotating ends on either side of the center piece. The flaps are usually 25.5 cm wide and 9.88 cm deep bur can be 10.73 cm to allow bigger opening. The grill has square pattern with each square being 8.33 cm in width. The rotating ends are attached to the inner piece by a hooked rod that acts as the hinges. The outer sides rotate up or down.

Claims

1) Independent claim A metal frame apparatus suspended over the mouth of a pan used as support for a grill used for dripping grease and comprising: a) A handle b) An upper circular ring c) A lower smaller inner ring Wherein said handle, is connected to the upper ring above and the inner smaller ring below. Said upper ring having a diameter as the diameter of the pan it is s fitted unto and the rim of the pan is used as support. Said upper ring over hangs the perimeter of the pan due to a metal support that rises from the lower ring to the upper ring but bends at a 90 degree angle.

2) Said lower smaller ring forming support for metal grill.

3) Wherein said metal support has a v shape at the base is attached to the lower ring but goes in a 1.27 cm horizontal direction then rises 2.54 cm and then bends 1.27 cm right angle and is attached to the upper ring forming a strong support for suspension over the perimeter of the pan. Dependent claim.

1) Said metal grill of claim 2 comprising of 2 open flaps on opposite side of the grill

2) Said metal grill of claim 2 only rests on the inner circular ring for support and allows the grill to slide around on top of it at any desired position.

3) Said metal grill of claim 2 has 2 varying patters of surface areas. Small squares and straight-line surface areas, used interchangeably.

4) Said metal grill forming support that holds fried foods dripping off the grease.

These sizes vary depending on the amount of space needed to insert remove and drip deep fried foods.
