Abstract
A temporal mount disinfection device for providing portable UV-C disinfection includes an elongated housing having a plurality of apertures. A plurality of UV-C LEDs project light through each one of the plurality of apertures. A spot light emanates from the housing and is used for aiming the plurality of UV-C LEDs to a specific location within a vehicle. A mount is connected to the housing that is reconfigurable for allowing the disinfection device to be mounted in various locations throughout a vehicle.

[0013] Skilled artisans will appreciate that elements in the figures are illustrated for simplicity and clarity and have not necessarily been drawn to scale. For example, the dimensions of some of the elements in the figures may be exaggerated relative to other elements to help to improve understanding of embodiments of the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0014] Before describing in detail embodiments that are in accordance with the present invention, it should be observed that the embodiments reside primarily in an apparatus providing a temporal mount disinfection device. Accordingly, the apparatus components have been represented where appropriate by conventional symbols in the drawings, showing only those specific details that are pertinent to understanding the embodiments of the present invention so as not to obscure the disclosure with details that will be readily apparent to those of ordinary skill in the art having the benefit of the description herein.
[0015] In this document, relational terms such as first and second, top and bottom, and the like may be used solely to distinguish one entity or action from another entity or action without necessarily requiring or implying any actual such relationship or order between such entities or actions. The terms “comprises,” “comprising,” or any other variation thereof, are intended to cover a non-exclusive inclusion, such that a process, method, article, or apparatus that comprises a list of elements does not include only those elements but may include other elements not expressly listed or inherent to such process, method, article, or apparatus. An element proceeded by “comprises . . . a” does not, without more constraints, preclude the existence of additional identical elements in the process, method, article, or apparatus that comprises the element.
[0016]
[0017] The temporal mount disinfection device 100 includes a housing 101 that is configured to hold a plurality of UV-C LEDs 103. In this embodiment, the UV-C LEDs are linearly aligned across the face of the housing 101 and use a red LED aiming light 105 to more easily direct the UV-C disinfection light to a desired location. The aiming light or “spotlight feature” utilizes an indicator LED for properly mounting of a globe or “G-type” LED module by the consumer as an auto accessory. Depending on the mounting location, the spotlight can be used at start of operation, to help users adjust the disinfection device to a specific and/or proper location for disinfection.
[0018] In use, a procedure to spotlight the disinfection device becomes a security feature for the system, especially with children, to prevent inadvertent turn ON of device. Moreover, an indicator light 107 is used to provide indicia that the UV-C light is in an “on” state. The bezel 109 further aids in indicating to the user when the UV-C LEDs are activated. A charging cable 111 can be used to power and/or charge internal batteries within the housing and to power the device when 12-vdc power is continuously available. As seen in the figures hereinafter, a mount or clip 113 is used to mount the portable device at desired locations thought-out the vehicle.
