    Abstract

An improvement upon exercise devices embodying straps, ropes or similar construction is disclosed. The exercise device embodies a strap or rope or similar construction, wherein a middle member is provided to provide support to a plurality of loops on at least one face/side of the strap member. The loops are provided for the support of a human's hand during a physical exercise activity, whereby the middle member is affixed to a support surface such as a wall, beam or bar to support a human performing an exercise activity, such as climbing or pulling. The middle member may be elastic or non-elastic.

    Claims

    1. An exercise device comprising of: a middle support member adapted capable of being attached to a support surface such as a wall or any such fixed surface, and; a plurality of loops attached to said middle support member, wherein said loops are adapted with holding gaps to receive a human hand or an attachment to it.

    2. The exercise device of claim 1, wherein the middle support member is elastic.

    3. The exercise device of claim 1, wherein the middle support member is inelastic.

    4. The exercise device of claim 1, wherein the middle support member is made of fabric.

    5. The exercise device of claim 1, wherein the middle support member is made of nylon.

    6. The exercise device of claim 1, wherein the middle support member has a top and bottom end.

    7. The exercise device of claim 1, wherein the middle support member embodies a strap.

    8. The exercise device of claim 1, wherein the middle support member embodies a rope.

    9. The exercise device of claim 1, wherein the loops are removably attached using a suitable attachment mechanism.

    10. The exercise device of claim 1, wherein the loop attachment mechanism comprises of stitches.

    11. The exercise device of claim 1, wherein the loop attachment mechanism comprises of velcro.

    12. The exercise device of claim 1, wherein the loop attachment mechanism comprises of buttons.

    13. The exercise device of claim 1, wherein the loop attachment mechanism comprises of welding.

    14. The exercise device of claim 1, wherein the loop attachment mechanism comprises of glue.

    15. A method of providing an exercise device, the method comprising of: providing a middle support member adapted capable of being attached to a support surface such as a wall or any such fixed surface, and; providing a plurality of loops attached to said middle support member, wherein said loops are adapted with holding gaps to receive a human hand or an attachment to a human hand.

    16. The method of claim 15, wherein the middle support member embodies a strap.

    17. The method of claim 15, wherein the middle support member embodies a rope.

[0021] FIG. 5 of the diagrams demonstrates the current exercise device while being used by a human.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0022] In the first embodiment according to FIG. 1 of the diagrams, it is illustrated a perspective view of the exercise device according to the current invention. The exercise device has a top end 3, capable of being attached to a support surface such as a wall, a pole, bar or any such fixed surface. It also has a middle support member 1, on which a plurality of loops 2 are attached and adapted capable of receiving a human hand or an attachment to it during an exercise activity. The device also has a bottom end 4 at the end of said middle support member 1.

[0023] Depending on the nature of the exercise, the device may be used during a climbing exercise, for lifting weights or pulling against heavy objects.

[0024] In a preferred embodiment, the middle support member 1 embodies a strap with a wide face and thin width to enable the attachment of the loops to either faces of the strap. The material making up the strap may be elastic, non-elastic, fabric, nonfabric, nylon or any such flexible material. However, in other embodiments, the middle support member 1 embodies a rope with approximately symmetrical dimensions or uniform cross-section.

[0025] In a second embodiment according to FIG. 2 of the diagrams is a front elevation view of the exercise device according to the current invention. Illustrated on the diagram is a top end 3, a middle support member 1, a holding gap 5 and a loop attachment mechanism 6. The holding gap 5 is adapted capable of receiving a human hand during an exercise, such as climbing or pulling, wherein the top end 3 is attached to a fixed surface such as a wall. On the other hand, the preferred attachment mechanism comprises of stitches that attach the loop to the middle support member 1. However, the attachment mechanism may also comprise of a velcro, buttons or welding the loop onto said middle support member.

[0026] In a further embodiment according to FIG. 3 of the diagrams, it is demonstrated a side elevation view of the exercise device according to the current invention. Illustrated on the diagram is a middle support member 1, on which a plurality of loops 2 are attached and adapted with holding gap 5 capable of receiving a human hand or an attachment to it during an exercise activity.

[0027] In yet another embodiment according to FIG. 4 of the diagrams is a top view of the exercise device according to the current invention. The top view shows a vertically suspended exercise device. Illustrated on the diagram is a middle support member 1, on which a plurality of loops 2 are attached.

[0028] In a final embodiment according to FIG. 5 of the diagrams demonstrates the current exercise device while being used by a human. It is shown on the diagram a middle support member 1, on which a loop 2 is attached using a suitable attachment mechanism. The holding gap 5 adapted on said loop is capable of receiving a human hand 10 during an exercise activity. The middle support member supports the human during an exercise activity. During such an activity, the human hand or an attachment to it would cause a load on the loop receiving said human hand or attachment to it, wherein the load is translated to the middle support member 1 and to a fixed surface such as but not limited to a wall, an exercise bar or any such fixed surface.

    INDUSTRIAL APPLICATION

[0029] The current invention is applicable in the construction of exercise devices.
