Abstract
A portable locking, styling and designing, hair beading apparatus with a length of lacing. The apparatus holds a plurality of beads without tangling and knotting. Attaches to a table top or wall for example; with a suction cup, has a long-term locking mechanism making the filled apparatus portable using the loop, button and suction cup. Has a short-term locking mechanism using the loop and hook, for intermittent breaks while in use. Also has a cord lock to control the position of beads along the length of the lacing, keeping the beads within easy reach to transfer to the braid.
Claims
1. A portable locking styling and designing hair beading apparatus comprising: a needle and loop formed at one end of a length of lacing that holds a plurality of beads while resisting knotting or tangling allowing for pre-design of beaded patterns; a button and suction cup with hook glued to the adjacent end of the length of lacing; a cord lock that slides up and down the length of lacing when engaged controls the position of the beads keeping them within easy reach to transfer to the braid; a long-term locking mechanism for portability; a short-term locking mechanism for intermittent breaks.
2. A method of engaging the locking mechanisms, comprising the steps of: forming a needle by folding the lacing and gluing it back to itself, a loop where the two sides of the lacing are left unglued, closing the loop by again gluing the lacing to itself; placing the loop over the suction cup with hook, resting between the button and suction cup; engaging a long-term locking mechanism, preventing beads from falling off the lacing, making pre-beaded designs portable.
3. A method as defined in claim 2, comprising the steps of: attaching the suction cup with hook to a wall or table top for example; placing the loop on the hook; engaging a short-term locking mechanism, for intermittent breaks while the beading apparatus is in use, preventing beads from falling off the lacing.
