Abstract
A toss game is configured for individual or group play. These configurations may adopt structure to mimic real-life activities. This structure may take the form of a receptacle and bags. The objective of the game is for individuals to toss the bags into the receptacle. The receptacle may have a top with a flat planar landing surface that abuts a hinged door. The top may rest on a cylinder, which may include an aperture to access the inside of the cylinder. This feature allows the end user to retrieve any bags that pass through the hinged door.
Claims
1. A toss game set, comprising: a target comprising a cylinder with a bottom that resides on a surface and a top having a landing surface that is flat and abuts a vertical opening with a door that swings on a hinge.
2. The toss game set of claim 1, wherein the landing surface has a diameter that matches the diameter of the cylinder.
3. The toss game set of claim 1, wherein the landing surface forms a partial circle.
4. The toss game set of claim 1, wherein the landing surface has a flat portion that abuts the door.
5. The toss game set of claim 1, wherein the cylinder comprises a wall with an opening proximate the bottom.
6. The toss game set of claim 1, wherein the cylinder comprises a wall, and wherein the top is removeable from the wall.
7. The toss game set of claim 1, wherein the hinge is configured to generate a closing load that biases the door in a closed position.
8. The toss game set of claim 1, wherein the hinge comprises a spring that generates a closing load that biases the door in a closed position.
9. A toss game set, comprising: a bag; and a target comprising a cylinder and a top removable from the cylinder, the top having a flat planar surface that abuts a door that swings on a hinge, wherein the door is arranged at an angle relative to the flat planar surface.
10. The toss game set of claim 9, wherein the bag has a carrying portion that is filled with material.
11. The toss game set of claim 9, wherein the bag has a carrying portion that is filled with sand.
12. The toss game set of claim 9, wherein the bag has a carrying portion that is filled with material and a knotted portion.
13. The toss game set of claim 9, wherein the bag has a carrying portion that is filled with material and a knotted portion that is configured to allow releasable access to the carry portion.
14. The toss game set of claim 9, wherein the bag has a carrying portion that is filled with material and a knotted portion.
15. The toss game set of claim 9, wherein the top has a stepped shoulder portion that fits onto the cylinder.
16. The toss game set of claim 9, wherein top has a stepped shoulder portion that overlaps with the cylinder.
17. The toss game set of claim 9, wherein top has a stepped shoulder with a first part that resides in proximity to the cylinder.
18. The toss game set of claim 9, wherein top has a stepped shoulder with a first part that resides in proximity to the cylinder and a second part extends from the first part to the flat planar shoulder.
19. The toss game set of claim 9, wherein the cylinder is circular.
20. The toss game set of claim 9, wherein the cylinder has a bottom configured to reside on a surface and an aperture in proximity to the bottom.
