FACE MASK KIT

Abstract

A face mask kit has one or more face masks, each face mask having a facial covering configured to be colored; and at least one colored dye for applying to the facial covering to impart a color. The facial covering is a fabric of a neutral base color to be dyed with the at least one colored dye, the neutral base color is preferably white. The at least one colored dye includes a plurality of colored dyes of different colors, the plurality of colored dyes includes colors selected from colors of red, yellow, blue, orange, green or pink. The face mask kit further has at least one flavored-scent configured to be applied to the facial covering to impart a fragrance to the mask.

Claims

1. A face mask kit comprises: one or more face masks, each face mask having a facial covering configured to be colored; and at least one colored dye for applying to the facial covering to impart a color.

2. The face mask kit of claim 1 wherein the facial covering is a fabric of a neutral base color to be dyed with the at least one colored dye.

3. The face mask kit of claim 2 wherein the neutral base color is white.

4. The face mask kit of claim 1 wherein the at least one colored dye includes a plurality of colored dyes of different colors.

5. The face mask kit of claim 4 wherein the plurality of colored dyes includes colors selected from colors of red, yellow, blue, orange, green or pink.

6. The face mask kit of claim 1 further comprises: at least one flavored-scent configured to be applied to the facial covering to impart a fragrance to the mask.

7. The face mask kit of claim 6 wherein the at least one flavored-scent includes a plurality of different fragrances.

8. The face mask kit of claim 7 wherein each of the plurality of different fragrances is matched to a specific colored dye.

9. The face mask kit of claim 8 wherein the plurality of different fragrances includes an orange flavored-scent combined with an orange colored dye; a lemon flavored scent combined with a yellow colored dye; a cherry flavored scent combined with a red colored dye; a grape flavored scent combined with a blue colored dye; a lime flavored scent combined with a green colored dye; and a bubble gum flavored scent combined with a pink colored dye.

10. A face mask kit comprises: one or more face masks, each face mask having a facial covering of a specific color; and at least one flavored scent applied to the facial covering to impart a fragrance to the mask.

11. The face mask kit of claim 10 wherein the facial covering of the one or more face masks includes a color selected from a red, a yellow, a blue, a green, an orange, a pink, a brown and a white.

12. The face mask kit of claim 10 wherein the flavored scent has a fragrance complimentary to the color of the facial covering.

The face mask kit of claim 12 wherein a facial covering of red has a cherry flavored scent, of yellow has a lemon flavored scent, of blue has a grape flavored scent, of green has a lime flavored scent, of orange has an orange citrus flavored scent, of pink has a bubble gum flavored scent, of brown has a chocolate flavored scent, and of white has a vanilla flavored scent.

14. The face mask kit of claim 10 wherein the flavored scents have a fragrance that diminishes over a time of use alerting the wearer to change the face mask.

15. The face mask kit of claim 1 wherein the one or more face masks have a single layer facial covering.

16. The face mask kit of claim 10 wherein the one or more face masks have a single layer facial covering.

17. The face mask kit of claim 1 wherein the one or more face masks have a double layer facial covering with an inner layer having a mouth opening to allow eating food or drinking a beverage and an outer layer with no opening.

18. The face mask kit of claim 10 wherein the one or more face masks have a double layer facial covering with an inner layer having a mouth opening to allow eating food or drinking a beverage and an outer layer with no opening.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0022] With reference to FIG. 6, a first exemplary version of a protective face mask 10 of the present invention is shown. The face mask 10 has a fabric cover or panel 30 held in place on the wearer's head by a pair of attachment loops 3 that are slipped over the wearer's ears. This exemplary face mask 10 is the most common design of a single fabric cover or panel 30 type mask.

[0023] With reference to FIG. 8, a second exemplary version of the present invention protective face mask 10A is shown on an exemplary wearer in a covered or closed position. The dashed lines show the mouth opening 25 fully covered by a second or outer fabric panel 30.

[0024] With reference to FIGS. 7 and 8, the protective face mask 10A is shown for the second embodiment that has a first panel 20 with a mouth opening 25 in the general location of the wearer's mouth and a second panel 30 with no openings. The face mask 10A is held on the wearer's head with attachment loops 2 on the first panel 20 and attachment loops 3 on the second panel 30. When the second panel 30 is in an uncovered position, the attachment loops 3 are removed from the wearer and the second panel 30 is folded down or away from the first panel 20 and the mouth opening 25 is fully exposed. When the second panel 30 is folded or lifted up overlaying the first panel 20 in a covered position with attachment loops 3 secured to the wearer's ears, the opening 25 is completely covered. The first and second panels 20, 30 can be formed and folded over made from a single panel of material or fabric.

[0025] Both the first exemplary version face mask 10 and the second version exemplary face mask 10A are well suited to be used in the present invention kits 100, 200 of face masks. It is understood various alternative face mask styles and designs can be used in the kits of the present invention and the invention is not limited to any particular face mask style other than the mask should have a fabric covering 30 for all the unique features of the invention to be realized.

[0026] With reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, exploded views of the face mask kits of the present invention are illustrated. FIG. 1 is a kit 100 having a plurality of face masks 10 with several color dye pills or tablets 40 which can be selected and used to dye a specific color 42 into the fabric cover or panel 30. The entire kit 100 is preferably packaged in a container 50.

[0027] FIG. 2 is a second version exploded view of the face mask kit 200, very similar to the kit 100, however the color dye tablets 40 have been replaced with a plurality of ampules 60 filled with a flavored-scent 62.

[0028] In variations of the kits, the color dye 42 and the flavored-scents 62 can be provided as shown in FIGS. 3, 4 and 5 as tablets/solids, powders or liquids in sealed tablets 40, ampoules 60 or pouches 70. In some embodiments, the color dye 42 and the flavored-scent 62 can be combined so the mask can be colored and scented at one time by the purchaser/wearer. The main feature is the kits 100, 200 have at least one feature to allow coloring or alternatively flavor-scenting or both coloring and scenting.

[0029] As shown in FIG. 1, a face mask kit 100 has one or more face masks 10, each face mask 10 having a facial covering 30 configured to be colored; and at least one colored dye 42 in a sealed tablet 40 for applying to the facial covering 30 to impart a color. The facial covering 30 is a fabric of a neutral base color to be dyed with the at least one colored dye 42, the neutral base color is preferably white. The at least one colored dye 42 includes a plurality of colored dyes of different colors, the plurality of colored dyes includes colors selected from colors of red, yellow, blue, orange, green or pink. The face mask kit 100 further has at least one flavored-scent 62 configured to be applied to the facial covering 30 to impart a fragrance to the mask 10. The at least one flavored-scent 62 includes a plurality of different fragrances. Each of the plurality of different fragrances is preferably matched to a specific colored dye 42. For example, the plurality of different fragrances includes an orange flavored-scent combined with an orange colored dye; a lemon flavored scent combined with a yellow colored dye; a cherry flavored scent combined with a red colored dye; a grape flavored scent combined with a blue colored dye; a lime flavored scent combined with a green colored dye; and a bubble gum flavored scent combined with a pink colored dye.

[0030] Another exemplary face mask kit 200 has one or more face masks 10A, each face mask 10A having a facial covering 30 of a specific color; and at least one flavored scent 62 applied to the facial covering 30 to impart a fragrance to the mask 10A. The facial covering 30 of the one or more face masks 10A includes a color selected from a red, a yellow, a blue, a green, an orange, a pink, a brown and a white. The flavored scent 62 has a fragrance complimentary to the color of the facial covering. For example, a facial covering of red has a cherry flavored scent, of yellow has a lemon flavored scent, of blue has a grape flavored scent, of green has a lime flavored scent, of orange has an orange citrus flavored scent, of pink has a bubble gum flavored scent, of brown has a chocolate flavored scent, and of white has a vanilla flavored scent.

[0031] The flavored scents 62 have a fragrance that diminishes over a time of use alerting the wearer to change the face mask 10, 10A.

[0032] As previously mentioned and shown in FIGS. 6, 7 and 8, the one or more face masks 10 have a single layer facial covering 30 or alternatively the one or more face masks 10A have a double layer facial covering with an inner first layer 20 having a mouth opening 25 to allow eating food or drinking a beverage and an outer second layer 30 with no opening.

[0033] While the present invention has provided a variety of different combinations and examples of color dyes 42 and flavored scents 62, it is understood these examples are not intended to be limiting in any sense as a variety of colors and scents may be selected at the user/wearer's discretion. Similarly, while the face masks were shown having a fabric covering suited for color dying by the wearer, the mask could be manufactured with a specific color and flavored scent and be within the scope of the present invention. One of the features of the kits was to provide an enjoyable experience for the wearer, particularly school aged wearers.

While certain representative embodiments and details have been shown for the purpose of illustrating the subject invention, it will be apparent to those skilled in this art that various changes and modifications can be made therein without departing from the scope of the subject invention.
