    A towel (1) having a main body (11) with front (2), back (8), sides (3) and top (10) and an extension (5) having an aperture (6). The aperture is of sufficient width to pull the body of the towel through the aperture. A method of use of the towel involve wrapping the extension around a bar (70) or other elongated object, inserting the body of the towel into the aperture and pulling the towel though the aperture until it is securely affixed to the bar for easy and quick locating and exposure to air for drying.

    2. The towel of claim 1 wherein the aperture is of sufficient width to allow the towel to be pulled through said aperture.

    3. A method of using the towel of claim 1 comprising the steps of: a. wrapping the extension of the towel around an elongated object; b. inserting the body of the towel starting with the bottom through the aperture; and c. pulling the body of the towel through the aperture until it is securely affixed to the elongated object.

    Description

    DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

    [0012] In the following detailed description, reference will be made to the attached drawings in which:

    [0013] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the towel of the present invention in use being affixed around a bar;

    [0014] FIG. 2 is a front view of the towel of the present invention; and

    [0015] FIG. 3 is a side view of the towel of the present invention.

    DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

    [0016] For purposes of describing the preferred embodiment, the terminology used in reference to the numbered items in the drawings is as follows: [0017] 1. towel, generally [0018] 2. towel front [0019] 3. towel sides [0020] 4. towel bottom [0021] 5. towel extension [0022] 6. aperture [0023] 7. bar [0024] 8. towel back [0025] 9. shoulders [0026] 10. towel top [0027] 11. body of towel

    [0028] Referring now to the drawing figures, FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, a perspective view of the towel 1 in use, a front view and a side view of the towel 1 are illustrated, respectively. Similar to conventional towels, the towel 1 of the present invention has a front 2, sides 3, a bottom 4 and a top 10. However, unlike conventional towels the towel 1 has a narrow extension 5 extending from the towel at the shoulders 9. The extension contains an aperture 6 of sufficient size so that the body 11 of the towel can be pulled through it and wrapped around an elongated object, such as bar 7 or kitchen drawer handle.

    [0029] The dimensions of the body 11 of the towel 1 are not critical, the width of the aperture 6 must be sufficient to allow the towel body 11 to be pulled through the aperture 6 when the towel is attached around a bar of other item. The wider the body of the towel 1 the wider must be the aperture. In trials it has been found that an aperture of four (4) inches in width can accommodate a towel having a body 11 of fourteen (14) inches in width.

    [0030] It is to be understood that while a preferred embodiment of the invention is described, it is not to be limited to the specific form or arrangement of parts herein described and shown. It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various changes may be made without departing from the scope of the invention and the invention is not to be considered limited to what is shown and described in the specification and/or drawings.
