Abstract
The present invention relates to a composition for treating keratin fibers, comprising at least an aqueous dispersion of hybrid hydrophobic film-forming acrylic polymer particles and at least one amino silicone and also to a process for treating keratin fibers using such a composition.
Claims
1. A composition for treating keratin fibres, comprising: an aqueous dispersion of hybrid hydrophobic film-forming acrylic polymer particles; and at least one amino silicone, wherein a ratio of the hybrid hydrophobic film-forming acrylic polymer particles to the at least one amino silicone, by weight of active material, ranges from 0.2 to 10.
2. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the at least one amino silicone is chosen from compounds of formula (I) below:
(R.sup.1).sub.a(T).sub.3-a-Si[OSi(T).sub.2].sub.n-[OSi(T).sub.b(R.sup.1).sub.2-b].sub.mOSi(T).sub.3-a-(R.sup.1).sub.a(I) wherein: T is a hydrogen atom or a phenyl radical, a hydroxyl radical, or a C.sub.1-C.sub.8 alkyl radical; a is 0 or an integer ranging from 1 to 3; b is 0 or 1; n is a number ranging from 0 to 1999; m is a number ranging from 1 to 2000; and R.sup.1 is a monovalent radical of formula C.sub.qH.sub.2qL, wherein q is a number ranging from 2 to 8, and wherein L is an optionally quaternized amino group chosen from the groups: N(R.sup.2)CH.sub.2CH.sub.2N(R.sup.2).sub.2; N(R.sup.2).sub.2; N.sup.+(R.sup.2).sub.3Q.sup.; N.sup.+(R.sup.2)(H).sub.2Q.sup.; N.sup.+(R.sup.2).sub.2HQ.sup.; and N(R.sup.2)CH.sub.2CH.sub.2N.sup.+(R.sup.2)(H).sub.2Q.sup., wherein R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom, a phenyl, a benzyl, or a saturated monovalent hydrocarbon-based radical, and wherein Q.sup. represents an anion.
3. The composition according to claim 2, wherein m is a number ranging from 1 to 10, and wherein n is a number ranging from 49 to 149.
4. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the at least one amino silicone is chosen from compounds of formula (II): ##STR00009## wherein: R, R and R are independently chosen from C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alkyl radicals and OH radicals; A represents a linear or branched C.sub.3-C.sub.8 alkylene radical; and m and n are integers, wherein a sum of m+n ranges from 1 to 2000.
5. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the at least one amino silicone is chosen from compounds of formula (III): ##STR00010## wherein n is a number ranging from 0 to 1999, and m is a number ranging from 1 to 2000, wherein a sum of n+m ranges from 1 to 2000.
6. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the at least one amino silicone is not a block polymer.
7. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the at least one amino silicone is present in the composition in an amount ranging from about 0.5% to about 10% by weight of active material, relative to the total weight of the composition.
8. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the at least one amino silicone is present in the composition in an amount ranging from about 0.1% to about 20% by weight of active material, relative to the total weight of the composition.

The composition according to claim 1, wherein the hybrid hydrophobic film-forming acrylic polymer particles are synthesized from: at least one compound (i) chosen from monomers that have at least one (meth)acrylic acid group, esters of the monomers that have at least one (meth)acrylic acid group, or amides of the monomers that have at least one (meth)acrylic acid group; and at least one compound (ii) different from the compound (i), wherein the at least one compound (ii) does not comprise monomers that have any (meth)acrylic acid groups, esters of monomers that have any (meth)acrylic acid groups, or amides of monomers that have any (meth)acrylic acid groups.

The composition according to claim 1, wherein the hybrid hydrophobic film-forming acrylic polymer particles are synthesized from: at least one of monomers that comprise at least one (meth)acrylic acid group, esters of monomers that comprise at least one (meth)acrylic acid group, or amides of monomers that comprise at least one (meth)acrylic acid group; and at least one styrene compound.
11. The composition according to claim 10, wherein the hybrid hydrophobic film-forming acrylic polymer is chosen from styrene/acrylate copolymers.
12. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the aqueous dispersion of hybrid hydrophobic film-forming acrylic polymer particles is present in the composition in an amount ranging from 0.1% to 30% by weight of active material, relative to the total weight of the composition.
13. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the ratio of the hybrid hydrophobic film-forming acrylic polymer particles to the at least one amino silicone, by weight of active material, ranges from 1 to 10.
14. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the composition comprises at least one pigment.
15. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the composition comprises at least one odorous compound.
16. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the composition comprises at least one mineral thickener.
17. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the composition comprises at least one organic thickening polymer.
18. A process for treating keratin fibres, comprising: applying to the keratin fibres a composition comprising an aqueous dispersion of hybrid hydrophobic film-forming acrylic polymer particles and at least one amino silicone, wherein a ratio of the hybrid hydrophobic film-forming acrylic polymer particles to the at least one amino silicone, by weight of active material, ranges from 0.2 to 10; and optionally drying of the keratin fibres following applying the composition.

EXAMPLES
(1) TABLE-US-00001 Composition A Styrene/acrylate copolymer in aqueous dispersion, sold by 21.2 g, BASF under the name Joncryl 77 i.e. 10 g of AM Polydimethylsiloxane comprising aminoethyl iminopropyl 12 g, i.e. groups, as a cationic emulsion comprising 35% active 4.2 g of material (Xiameter MEM-0939 Emulsion from Dow Corning) AM Black 2 as an aqueous dispersion, from Daito Kasei Kogyo 10 g, i.e. under the name WD-CB2 2.5 g of AM Water qs 100 g
(2) 0.5 g of composition A is applied to a 1 g lock of grey hair.
(3) After a few seconds, the lock of hair is dried, the hair is dyed, and the colour is uniform and persistent on shampooing a few times. The hair is soft and the hairs may be individualized with the fingers or by using a comb and/or a brush.
(4) TABLE-US-00002 Composition B Styrene/acrylate copolymer in aqueous dispersion, sold by 21.2 g, i.e. BASF under the name Joncryl 77 10 g of AM Polydimethylsiloxane comprising aminoethyl aminopropyl 11 g, i.e. and ,-silanol groups, as a cationic emulsion comprising 3.41 g of 31% active material (Xiameter MEM-0949 Emulsion from AM Dow Corning) Clay (magnesium aluminium silicate) sold by the company 2 g Vanderbilt under the name Veegum granules Nacre of mica coated with brown iron oxide, sold by Eckart 6 g under the name Prestige Soft Bronze Water qs 100 g
(5) 0.6 g of composition B is applied to a 1 g lock of grey hair.
(6) After a few seconds, the lock of hair is dried, the hair is dyed, and the colour is uniform and persistent on shampooing a few times. The hair is soft and the hairs may be individualized with the fingers or by using a comb and/or a brush.
(7) TABLE-US-00003 Composition C1 C2 C3 Styrene/acrylate copolymer in 20 g, 20 g, 20 g, aqueous dispersion, sold by BASF i.e. 9.4 g i.e. 9.4 g i.e. 9.4 g under the name Joncryl 77 of AM of AM of AM Polydimethylsiloxane comprising 8 g, 8 g, 8 g, aminoethyl aminopropyl groups, i.e. 4.8 g i.e. 4.8 g i.e. 4.8 g bearing methoxy and/or hydroxyl of AM of AM of AM and ,-silanol functions, as a cationic emulsion comprising 60% active material (Xiameter MEM- 8299 Emulsion from Dow Corning) Glycine marketed by Ajinomoto 1.8 g Silk protein powder sold under the 2 g name Crosilk Powder by Croda Black 2 as an aqueous dispersion, 8 g, 8 g, 8 g, from Daito Kasei Kogyo under the i.e. 2 g i.e. 2 g i.e. 2 g name WD-CB2 of AM of AM of AM Water qs 100 g qs 100 g qs 100 g
