Abstract
A windproof foldable canopy tent including a tent frame assembly, a ceiling assembly arranged on the tent frame assembly, and upper and lower tarpaulins disposed on the ceiling assembly, is provided. The ceiling assembly includes a tent top plate, foldable arm mechanisms annularly distributed about a periphery of the tent top plate, and elastic supporting rods correspondingly arranged on the foldable arm mechanisms. A distal end of each foldable arm mechanism, away from the tent top plate, is mounted to the tent frame assembly. The upper tarpaulin and the lower tarpaulin are supported and connected to the elastic supporting rods and the foldable arm mechanisms, respectively. The elastic supporting rods tension the upper tarpaulin firmly. When a wind force is substantially larger than a force of the tension, the elastic supporting rods bend and warp to enlarge a ventilation channel defined between the upper and lower tarpaulins.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0022] In the description of the present invention, it is understood that the terms one end, the other end, upper, horizontal, center, end, etc., relating to an orientation or a positional relationship are in line with the orientations or the positional relationships shown in the drawings. Such terms are used herein merely to provide an easy or simplified description of the present invention, rather than indicating or implying that a device or an element must have a specific orientation, or be constructed and operated in a specific orientation, and shall not be understood as a limitation of the present invention.
[0023] The present invention is further described with the attached drawings as follows.
[0024] Disclosed herein is a windproof foldable canopy tent 100 comprising a tent frame assembly 1, a ceiling assembly 2, a lower tarpaulin 5, and an upper tarpaulin 3 as shown in -shaped structure, with a sunroof opened in the middle. The lower tarpaulin 5 is supported and connected to the four middle foldable arm mechanisms 20. In an embodiment, a projection of the upper tarpaulin 3 on a horizontal plane is a square. In another embodiment, the projections of the upper tarpaulin 3 and the lower tarpaulin 5 on a horizontal plane are rectangular. The upper tarpaulin 3 is supported and connected to the four elastic supporting rods 21. The elastic supporting rods 21 are configured to tension the upper tarpaulin 3 firmly. When a wind force is substantially larger than the tensioning force, the elastic supporting rods 21 bend and warp to enlarge a ventilation channel 4 defined between the upper tarpaulin 3 and the lower tarpaulin 5 shown in
[0025] When the elastic supporting rods 21 are not upwarping, the size of the ventilation channel 4 depends on a proximity between the upper tarpaulin 3 and the lower tarpaulin 5. When the upper tarpaulin 3 abuts against the lower tarpaulin 5 tightly, the ventilation channel 4 is almost closed. The proximity between the upper tarpaulin 3 and the lower tarpaulin 5 can be adjusted as required.
[0026] The center 3a of the upper tarpaulin 3 shown in
[0027] In an embodiment, each of the elastic supporting rods 21 is a glass fiber rod. In another embodiment, each of the elastic supporting rods 21 is a carbon fiber rod or another elastic rod.
[0028] In the present invention, the elastic supporting rods 21 are used for mounting and tensioning the upper tarpaulin 3. Under normal conditions, the elastic supporting rods 21 press the upper tarpaulin 3 tightly. When the wind force is larger than the tensioning force, the elastic supporting rods 21 bend and warp to open the upper tarpaulin 3, thereby forming the ventilation channel 4, which reduces wind resistance and increases the stability of the foldable canopy tent 100. In addition, the elastic supporting rods 21 tension the upper tarpaulin 3 and prevent the upper tarpaulin 3 from ponding.
[0029] The windproof foldable canopy tent 100 in an extended state and a folded state without the upper tarpaulin 3 and the lower tarpaulin 5 is shown in
[0030] As shown in
[0031] It should be understood that the number and the distribution of the supporting legs 11 in the tent frame assembly 1 of the windproof foldable canopy tent 100 can be adjusted as required; accordingly, the number and the distribution of the lateral foldable arm mechanisms 13, the middle foldable arm mechanisms 20, and the elastic supporting rods 21 as well as the shape of the upper tarpaulin 3 and the lower tarpaulin 5 can be adjusted as required.
[0032] It shall be noted that the above embodiments have been provided only for illustrating the technical scheme of the present invention and not to limit the present invention. Although the present invention has been detailed with reference to the above embodiments, those ordinarily skilled in the art should understand that they can still modify the technical scheme recorded in the foregoing embodiments, or perform equivalent replacements on some or all of the technical features; however, such modifications or replacements do not separate the essence of technical schemes from the substance and scope of the technical scheme provided by the embodiments of the present invention.
