Abstract
A device constructed of a lightweight plastic or similar material, in a precast molded form, that the user attaches to the shoulder segment of a clothes hanger; adjusting the device allows the hanger to be extended to varying lengths. The device, as designed, is a solution that will prevent an article of clothing, i.e. shirts, sweaters, and fine clothing from developing embarrassing shoulder horns, a.k.a. shoulder nipples, such as those, created by a typical wire hanger when an article of clothing remains hung for an extended time. The device is especially useful for people with wide and broad shoulders, whereby a pair of the device, when placed on a hanger, can be adjusted by sliding the device along the shoulder segment of the hanger, giving the user the option to extend and adjust the hanger to a desired length.

DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE
[0008] The following is the specification and detail description of the clothes hanger extension device. The invention is a device constructed of lightweight plastic that was shaped from a precast molded form, whereby the user can attach a pair of the device onto the shoulder segment of a clothes hanger and would then adjust the device to a desired length, extending the hanger surface area, so that to prevent an article of clothing from developing shoulder horns. The device is shaped similarly to the contours of the end and shoulder portions of a hanger; comprising of a pair of attachment bodies; each attachment body being an elongated rigid member, refer to as the stem, the device exterior surface having a generally planar front and rear flat panels and is rounded at the top surface edge; the open channel or gap, refers to as the chute, receives and hold, by friction means, to the shoulder segment of the clothes hanger; capable of a slide movement along the hanger; the shoulder portion of the device, also refer to as the foot, has a broader surface, and a concave shape that slide over the end portion of a clothes hanger; the concave shape is designed in a way so that to prevent a garment placed upon the hanger, from developing shoulder horns; the device feature small protrusions near the rear of the chute interior surfaces, provide stability to prevent the device from tilting or falling off the hanger when in the extended position; the device preferably composed of a lightweight rigid material such as molded plastic; the device being substantially as shown and described in
