    Abstract

A chain link jewelry having a degree of flexibility in movement while retaining the aesthetic appearance of the jewelry piece, the jewelry comprising, a multiplicity of links connected together, each link having end portions and a center portion, wherein end portions are connected to each other through a loop and the links are connected to each other at end portions, wherein the ends of the portions do not contact a body surface or a wearer of the jewelry.

    Claims

    1. A chain link jewelry having a degree of flexibility in movement while retaining the aesthetic appearance of the jewelry piece, the jewelry comprising: a multiplicity of links connected together, each link having end portions and a center portion, wherein end portions are connected to each other through a loop and the links are connected to each other at end portions, wherein the ends of the portions do not contact a body surface or a wearer of the jewelry; the end portions of the links having loose connections with each other through slight “S” shaped grooves; a curvature of the grooves having a dimension loose enough to provide for movement of each end portion to the left and to the right; the end portions of the links having a smaller thickness than a center portion of a link; the center portion of the link contacts with a surface of a body of a wearer, said center portion having a greater thickness than the end portions; said center portion having an “X” shape end portions make only limited contact with a surface of a body of a wearer make no contact with a surface of a body of the wearer; end portions which allows the link to swivel within a range; end portions at the end of each link, the end portions having a modified S shape, said end portions having a smaller thickness and a smaller width than the thickness and width of the center portion. dictated by the interlocking connections between an adjoining link which

    DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0010] FIG. 1 shows drawing of the background art. The recessions and protrusions forming the linkage between link are rigid and inhibit flexibility in the free movement of the chain. Further the surfaces have a flatness which provides a greater surface area for contact with a wearer's skin.

[0011] FIGS. 2 and 3 shows the curvature of the chain links according to the present invention. The curvatures allow for smooth movement and minimum contact with the wearer's skin.

[0012] FIG. 4 shows another aspect of the chain link of the present invention.

[0013] FIGS. 5, 6, and 7 shows additional views of the chain link according to the present invention.
