    8. Apparatus for transporting two wigs comprising: a luggage container with plates installed in parallel on its interior bottom, each such plate having a male member longitudinally attached thereto; and an article of manufacture for the storage of two wigs comprising: a first wig head having a planate front; a second wig head having a planate front; and a base attached to the bottom of said first wig head and the bottom of said second wig head thereby positioning the front of said first wig head immovably against the front of said second wig head, said base having side panels, each of which having a longitudinal groove cut therein that runs from the back of said first wig head to the back of said second wig head; whereby each of said male members are releasably slidable into each of said respective grooved side panels in order to hold said article, as well as any wigs supported thereby, in place during transport.

    9. Apparatus for transporting two wigs comprising: a luggage container with plates installed in parallel on its interior bottom, each such plate having a male member longitudinally attached thereto; and a unitary construction that combines the shapes of a first wig head having a first upper front slope at an acute angle from the vertical and a second wig head having a second upper front slope at said angle from the vertical whereby such first upper front slope and said second upper front slope define a V-shaped crevice between the front of said first wig head shape and the front of said second wig head shape to which unitary construction is attached at its bottom a base having side panels each having a longitudinal groove that runs from the back of said first wig head shape to the back of said second wig head shape; whereby each of said male members are releasably slidable into each of said grooved side panels in order to hold said unitary construction and said base, as well as any wigs supported thereby, in place during transport.

    10. Apparatus for transporting two wigs comprising: a luggage container with a plate installed on its interior bottom having an overhanging member on each side of the plate; and a unitary construction that combines the shapes of a first wig head having a first upper front slope at an acute angle from the vertical and a second wig head having a second upper front slope at said angle from the vertical whereby such first upper front slope and said second upper front slope define a V-shaped crevice between the front of said first wig head shape and the front of said second wig head shape to which unitary construction is attached at its bottom by a vertical post a base that is a flat surface; whereby said flat surface of said base is releasably slidable under said overhanging members of said panel in order to hold said unitary construction and said base, as well as any wigs supported thereby, in place during transport.

    11. The apparatus of claim 9 or claim 10 in which the unitary construction is manufactured from a group of materials comprising paper, cardboard, Styrofoam, plastic, and microcell polyethylene

    Description

    BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0007] The invention will become more readily apparent form the following description of preferred embodiments thereof shown by way of example only in the accompanying drawings:

[0008] FIG. 1 is a side perspective view of the article of manufacture as in one aspect of this invention.

[0009] FIG. 2 is a front perspective view of a form of luggage opened to show the proper containment of the article of manufacture of this invention.

[0010] FIG. 3 is a side perspective view of the article of manufacture as in a second aspect of this invention.

[0011] FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a second form of the base of the article of manufacture of this invention releasably slid into a second form of plate on the interior base of luggage.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0012] Depicted in FIG. 1 is an article of manufacture that has two heads, each for the support of a hanging wig, generally identified by reference numeral 10. The double wig head 10 is comprised of a first wig head 15 and a second wig head 20 immovably attached to and supported by base 25. In one embodiment parallel plates 30 as shown in FIG. 2, being a part of the interior base of luggage compatible with the base of such an article 10, are releasably slid into each of slot 35 on each side panel of base 25 by friction fitting with a notch or groove on each of plate 30 that mates with a corresponding receptacle within slot 35 (not depicted), or by any other means known to those having ordinary skill in the art. One such means is the second form of said plates 30 is shown in FIG. 4 in which base 25 is releasably slid into and under overhanging plates 31. In the preferred embodiment, double wig head 10 is a unitary article, but in another embodiment, first wig head 15 and second wig head 20 can be attached and decoupled from one another by means known to those having ordinary skill in the art.

[0013] Returning to FIG. 1, first wig head 15 has a first front slope 40 and second wig head 20 has a second front slope 45. First front slope 40 and second front slope 45 are each intended to provide a space for the bangs for each of the two wigs to be placed on article 10. Said wigs are not depicted.

[0014] The respective wigs are held on first wig head 15 and second wig head 20 by a pin or by a hook and loop system, along with any other means of attachment known to those having ordinary skill in the art. In one embodiment, wig head 15 and wig head 20 are transported as a unitary article, each carrying their respective wigs. The unitary configuration with first front slope 40 and second front slope 45 enable a user to transport up to two wigs in a stable fashion so as to prevent disturbing the styling of either of said wigs.

[0015] In one embodiment, double wig head 10 is transported in luggage designed to be compatible with head 10 in order to further reduce the likelihood of disturbing the styling of such wigs during travel. In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2 a first luggage embodiment 100 utilizing a closure in the front of the wigs by using a zipper or a hook and loop system in order to completely enclose double wig head 10 in its own area, that is enclosing compartment 50 separate from the area 70 designated to carry personal items. In another embodiment, said enclosing compartment in the luggage is removable.

[0016] A second embodiment of the dual wig head article of manufacture is shown in FIG. 3 in which the double wig head 10 is comprised of a first wig head 15 and a second wig head 20 immovably attached to and supported by base 25 which base includes a vertical post that is attached to and supports wig head 15 and wig head 20. Said base 25 as shown in FIG. 3 is a flat, designed to fit under overhanging plates 31 as shown in FIG. 4 without the need to have slots cut into such flat base 25. As shown in FIG. 4 flat base 25 can be releasably slid into and under overhanging plates 31.

[0017] In the preferred embodiment, dual wig head is manufactured from the material known as #4 microcell polyethylene which material is especially desirable since as stated above the two respective wigs are intended to be held on first wig head 15 and second wig head 20 by a pin or by a hook and loop system. The dual wig head parts or unitary construction may be manufactured from a group of materials comprising paper, cardboard, Styrofoam, or plastic, but by constructing wig head 15 and wig head 20, whether separate or unitary, using #4 microcell polyethylene, any chipping away of each wig head by insertion of and removal of pins is greatly reduced, resulting in longer useful life of the article of manufacture 10 of the instant invention. Of course, other materials as well can be used to construct article of manufacture 10 as shown in either FIG. 1 or FIG. 3, as will be known by those skilled in the art.

[0018] As can be appreciated by one skilled in the art, the drawings shown and the manufacture as described herein represent only certain embodiments of the invention covered hereby and this application does not limit the breadth of the invention covered hereby to any one or more of such embodiments or drawings.
