    Abstract

The invention relates to a device (1) for emptying moist powder from a container (2), said device comprising a breaking ring (3) that is provided with one or more outward-extending breaking ribs (4), a cross-shaped stabilizing structure (4), and a breaking spike (6). The invention further relates to a method for emptying moist powder from a container using said device (1).

    Claims

    1. A device for emptying powder with a liquid content of at least 0. 1% by weight from a container, wherein the device comprises a breaking ring, which is provided with one or more outwardly directed breaking ribs and a cross-shaped stabilizing structure with a breaking spike.

    2. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the device comprises an emptying fitting, at the lower end of the container.

    3. The device as claimed in claim 1 comprising 1 to 20 breaking ribs.

    4. The device as claimed in claim 1 further comprising a force transmission means.

    5. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the breaking spike is solid.

    6. A method for emptying powder with a liquid content of at least 0.1% by weight from a container comprising the steps of: (a) attaching a device as claimed in claim 1 to the opening of the filled container, (b) opening the emptying fitting, which is preferably at the lower end of the container, on the container, (c) making the device enter the filled container with the aid of a force transmission means attached to the cross-shaped stabilizing structure, the powder bridge being broken open by means of the breaking spike, (e) moving the device up, and (f) repeatedly moving the device down and up until the container has been emptied.

    7. A method for emptying powder with a liquid content of at least 0.1% by weight from a container utilizing the device as claimed in claim 1.
