Description
BIOLOGICAL EXAMPLES
[0265] The synergistic biological activity of combinations of component (A) and component (B) as disclosed herein was assessed using a Spodoptera littoralis contact assay. Herein, cotton leaf discs were placed onto agar in 24-well microtiter plates and sprayed with aqueous test solutions prepared from 10,000 ppm DMSO stock solutions. After drying the leaf discs were infested with L1 larvae. The samples were assessed for mortality 3 days after infestation.
[0266] The tables below present the observed mortality relative to the expected mortality as determined using the COLBY formula for various combinations of compound A and compound B as disclosed herein. If the mortality actually observed is greater than the expected mortality, then the action of the combination is super-additive, i.e. there is a synergistic effect.
