Portable Pedicure Case

Abstract

A portable pedicure case includes a tray received within a container and a removable foot rest base assembly received between the tray and a lid, the removable foot rest base assembly includes a heel rest and a foot rest supported on a base.

Claims

1. A portable pedicure case comprising: a container; a lid that attaches to the container; a tray received within the container; and a removable foot rest base assembly received between the tray and the lid, the removable foot rest base assembly comprises a heel rest and a foot rest supported on a base.

2. The case as recited in claim 1, wherein the foot rest pivots with respect to the base.

3. The case as recited in claim 2, wherein the heel rest is angled with respect to the base.

4. The case as recited in claim 3, wherein the foot rest supports a foot pad.

5. The case as recited in claim 4, wherein the heel rest supports a heel pad.

6. The case as recited in claim 5, wherein the heel rest comprises tabs that fit within slots in the base.

7. The case as recited in claim 1, further comprising a strap that is engaged with the base via loops.

8. The case as recited in claim 7, wherein the strap is manufactured of a hook and loop material.

9. The case as recited in claim 1, further comprising a light that is mountable to the base.

10. The case as recited in claim 1, wherein the tray defines multiple compartments.

11. The case as recited in claim 10, wherein the tray includes handles.

12. The case as recited in claim 1, further comprising a handle pivotably mounted to the lid.

13. A portable pedicure case comprising: a container; a lid that attaches to the container; a tray received within the container; a removable foot rest base assembly received between the tray and the lid, the removable foot rest base assembly comprises a heel rest and a foot rest supported on a base; a foot pad mounted to the foot rest; a heel pad mounted to the heel rest; and a strap that is engaged with the base, the strap manufactured of a hook and loop material.

14. The case as recited in claim 13, wherein the heel rest comprises tabs that fit within slots in the base.

15. The case as recited in claim 14, wherein the heel rest is angled with respect to the base.

16. The case as recited in claim 14, wherein the foot rest pivots with respect to the base.

17. The case as recited in claim 16, wherein the foot rest is mounted to the base via a hinge pin.

18. The case as recited in claim 17, wherein the foot rest is articulatable to a desired angle with respect to the base and supported by a stand.

19. The case as recited in claim 19, wherein the stand is located in one of a multiple of positions on the foot rest to control the angle thereof.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0010] FIG. 1 schematically illustrates a portable pedicure case 20. The case 20 generally includes a container 30, a tray 40, a removable foot rest base assembly 50 (FIG. 2), and a lid 60. The lid 60 attaches to the container 30 to contain the tray 40 and the removable foot rest base assembly 50 therein to provide a compact portable pedicure case 20 (FIG. 3). The portable pedicure case 20 may be approximately 12 inches by 8 inches by 6 inches.

[0011] The lid 60 may include latches 62 to be completely removable from the container 30. Alternatively, the lid 60 may mount to the container 30 via a hinge such that the lid 60 opens in a clamshell manner. The lid 60 may include a carry handle 64 recessed into the lid 60.

[0012] The tray 40 may include various compartments 42 that are sized to receive nail polish, tools, etc. The tray 40 may also include handles 44 to facilitate removal from the container 30.

[0013] The removable foot rest base assembly 50 generally includes a foot rest 70 with a foot pad 72 and a heel rest 74 with a heel pad 76 that attach to a base 78 to provide a comfortable support (FIG. 2). The base 78 may have a resilient base pad 79 and may include various compartments for polish, tools, etc. The foot pad 72, the heel pad 76 and the base pad 79 may be manufactured of a soft pliable material such as foam.

[0014] The foot rest 70 may be mounted to the base 78 via a hinge pin 80 such that the foot rest 70 may be articulated to a desired angle with respect to the base 78 and supported by a stand 82. The stand 82 may be selectively located in one of a multiple of positions on the foot rest 70 to control the angle thereof. The foot rest 70 is thereby angled (FIG. 2) with respect to the heel rest 74 to the desired comfort of a user.

[0015] A strap 100 may be passed through loops 102 (FIG. 2) in the base 78 to facilitate attachment to various surfaces. The strap 100 may be manufactured of a hook and loop or other materials such as with a buckle to facilitate attachment.

[0016] A light 110 may alternatively be provided that is received in the foot rest 70. The light may include a flexible shaft to specifically position the light.

[0017] Once the pedicure is complete, the foot rest 70 is folded down and the portable pedicure case 20 may be readily configured for transport (FIG. 3).
