Abstract
The disclosure relates to a blank (1) configured to form a package (100), the blank (1) comprising a bottom panel (10), a rear wall panel (21), a front wall panel (22), two opposing end wall panels (31, 32), two opposing sets of top wall panels (40), two rear sets of corner panels (50) and two rear locking flaps (55). Each set of top wall panels (40) is configured to form a double-walled top wall (140) when the blank (1) is erected to form the package (100). Each rear locking flap (55) being foldably connected to an outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side of the respective rear set of corner panels (50) and extending away from the respective rear set of corner panels (50) such that the rear locking flap (55), as the blank (1) is erected into the package (100), extends longitudinally inwardly from the respective end wall panel (31, 32) and such that each rear locking flap (55) is positioned between the respective first and second top wall panel (41, 42) forming the double-walled top wall (140). The disclosure also relates to a package (100) formed from a blank (1).
Claims
1. A blank configured to form a package, the blank comprising: a bottom panel, a rear wall panel foldably connected to a first longitudinally extending side of the bottom panel, a front wall panel foldably connected to a second longitudinally extending side of the bottom panel, two opposing end wall panels foldably connected to a respective one of two opposing transversally extending sides of the bottom panel, two opposing sets of top wall panels foldably connected to a respective one of the two end wall panels along transversally extending sides of the respective end wall panel, opposite the bottom panel, wherein each set of top wall panels comprises a first top wall panel and a second top wall panel foldably connected to each other and arranged one after the other as seen along a longitudinal direction, wherein each set of top wall panels is configured to form a double-walled top wall when the blank is erected to form the package, wherein the first top wall panel is connected to the end wall panel and is configured to form an upper surface of the double-walled top wall and the second top wall panel is connected to the first top wall panel and is configured to form an inside surface of the double-walled top wall, two rear sets of corner panels, each rear set of corner panels being located at a respective rear corner of the bottom panel and interconnecting a respective end of the rear wall panel with a respective end of the respective end wall panel, wherein each rear set of corner panels comprises an inclined fold line extending along a virtual line extending diagonally away from the respective rear corner of the bottom panel, wherein each rear set of corner panels is foldable along the inclined fold line relative to the rear wall panel, to the respective end wall panel and to each other about the inclined fold line into triangular flaps into an interior of the package and alongside the respective end wall panel as the blank is erected into the package, two rear locking flaps, each rear locking flap foldably connected to an outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side of the respective rear set of corner panels and extending away from the respective rear set of corner panels such that the rear locking flap, as the blank is erected into the package, extends longitudinally inwardly from the respective end wall panel and such that each rear locking flap is positioned between the respective first and second top wall panel forming the double-walled top wall, two front set of corner panels, each front set of corner panels located at a respective front corner of the bottom panel and interconnecting a respective end of the front wall panel with a respective end of the respective end wall panel, wherein each front set of corner panels comprises an inclined fold line extending along a virtual line extending diagonally away from the respective front corner of the bottom panel, wherein each front set of corner panels is foldable along the inclined fold line relative to the front wall panel, to the respective end wall panel and to each other about the inclined fold line into triangular flaps into an interior of the package and alongside the respective end wall panel as the blank is erected into the package, two front locking flaps, each front locking flap being foldably connected to an outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side of the respective front set of corner panels and extending away from the respective front set of corner panels such that the front locking flap, as the blank is erected into the package, extends longitudinally inwardly from the respective end wall panel and such that each front locking flap is positioned between the respective first and second top wall panel forming the double-walled top wall two front locking tongues formed on the front wall panel or formed on a front top wall panel foldably connected to the front wall panel-along a longitudinally extending side of the front wall panel, opposite the bottom panel, wherein the two front locking tongues extends transversally from the front wall panel and from a longitudinally extending side of the front wall panel being opposite the bottom panel such that each front locking tongue, as the blank is erected into the package, extends transversally inwardly from the front wall panel or wherein the two front locking tongues extends transversally from the front top panel and from a longitudinally extending side of the front top panel being opposite the front wall panel such that each front locking tongue, as the blank is erected into the package, extends transversally inwardly from the front top panel, and such that each front locking tongue is positioned between the respective first and second top wall panel forming the double-walled top wall, wherein respective second top wall panel comprises at least one locking tongue being positioned along a transversally extending side of the respective second top wall panel, opposite the first top wall panel, and extending away from the second top wall panel along the longitudinal direction, and wherein at least one locking recess is formed in the respective end wall panel or in a fold line between the respective end wall panel and the respective first top wall panel, wherein the at least one locking tongue on the respective second top wall panel is/are configured to be inserted into the respective locking recess when the first and second top wall panels are folded to form the double-walled top wall and thereby lock the double-walled top wall in the erected state.

The blank according to claim 1, wherein each rear locking flap is foldably connected to the respective rear set of corner panels along a respective transversally extending side of the respective rear set of corner panels and extending away from the respective rear set of corner panels along the longitudinal direction.
3. The blank according to claim 1, the blank further comprising: a lid panel foldably connected to the rear wall panel along a longitudinally extending side of the rear wall panel, opposite the bottom panel, wherein the lid panel is configured to, in an erected state of the blank, abut the respective first top wall panel forming the upper surface of the double-walled top wall.
4. The blank according to claim 3, wherein the lid panel is configured to, in the erected state of the blank, abut the respective first top wall panel forming the upper surface of the double-walled top wall, wherein the respective rear locking flap and the lid panel have overlapping projections in a plane parallel to the lid panel.
5. The blank according to claim 3, wherein the blank further comprises: a lid front panel being foldably connected to the lid panel along a longitudinally extending side of the lid panel, opposite the rear wall panel, wherein the lid front panel is configured to, in an erected state of the blank, abut an outside surface of the front wall panel.
6. The blank according to claim 3, wherein the blank further comprises: two opposing lid end wall panels foldably connected to a respective one of two opposing transversally extending sides of the lid panel, wherein the respective lid end wall panel is configured to, in the erected state of the blank, abut an outside surface of the respective end wall panel.

The blank according to claim 2, wherein each rear locking flap is foldably connected to the respective rear set of corner panels along a respective fold line, the fold line being angled an angle ? relative to a transversal direction such that a longitudinal distance between the fold line and a transversally extending center line of the rear wall panel decreases with an increasing transversal distance from the respective end wall panel, the angle ? being about 2-7 degrees.

The blank according to claim 1, wherein each rear set of corner panels is foldably connected to the rear wall panel along respective a fold line, the fold line being angled an angle ? relative to a transversal direction such that a longitudinal distance between the fold line and a transversally extending center line of the rear wall panel decreases with an increasing transversal distance from the bottom panel, the angle ? being about 2-7 degrees.
9. The blank according to claim 1, wherein the blank further comprises a double fold line between the first top wall panel and the second top wall panel, the double fold line comprising a first fold line positioned closest to the first top wall panel and a second fold line, the first and second fold line defining an intermediate panel.
10. The blank according to claim 1, wherein the blank is made of paper-based material.
11. A package-formed from the blank according to claim 1, wherein the bottom panel forms a bottom of the package, the rear wall panel is folded in relation to the first longitudinally extending side of the bottom panel such that the rear wall panel forms a rear wall of the package, the front wall panel is folded in relation to the second longitudinally extending side of the bottom panel such that the front wall panel forms a front wall of the package, the two rear sets of corner panels folded along the inclined fold line relative to the rear wall panel, to the respective end wall panel and to each other about the inclined fold line into triangular flaps into an interior of the package and alongside the respective end wall panel, the two opposing end wall panels are folded in relation to the two opposing transversally extending sides of the bottom panel such that the end wall panels form two opposing end walls, the two rear locking flaps folded in relation to a respective outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side of the respective rear set of corner panels such that the respective rear locking flap extends longitudinally inwardly from the respective end wall panel, the two front set of corner panels folded along the inclined fold line relative to the front wall panel, to the respective end wall panel and to each other about the inclined fold line into triangular flaps into an interior of the package and alongside the respective end wall panel, the two front locking flaps are folded in relation to a respective outwardly facing longitudinally or transversally extending side of the respective front set of corner panels such that the front locking flap extends longitudinally inwardly from the respective end wall panel, the two front locking tongues or the optional front top wall panel folded relative to the front wall panel-such that the two front locking tongues extends transversally inwardly from front wall panel or extends transversally inwardly the front top panel, the respective first and second top wall panels folded relative to each other and relative to the respective end wall panel to form the double-walled top wall, with the respective rear locking flap, the respective front locking flap, and the respective front locking tongue inserted between the respective first and second top wall panel, and wherein the double-walled top wall is locked in the erected state by the at least one locking tongue on the respective second top wall panel being inserted into the respective locking recess when the first and second top wall panels are folded to form the double-walled top wall.
12. The package according to claim 11, wherein the rear wall forms a right angle to the bottom panel.
13. The package according to claim 11, wherein the front wall forms a right angle to the bottom panel and the rear wall and the front wall extend along parallel planes.
14. The package according to claim 11, wherein the respective end wall forms a right angle to the bottom panel and wherein the respective rear set of corner panels and the respective end wall extend along parallel planes.
15. The package according to claim 11, wherein the two rear locking flaps are folded in relation to a respective outwardly facing transversally extending side.
16. The package according to claim 11, wherein the two front locking flaps are folded in relation to a respective outwardly facing transversally extending side.
17. The package according to claim 11, wherein the respective double-walled top wall forms a right angle to the respective end wall.
