Abstract
An open container carrier handle system and method for facilitating carrying a plurality of open containers includes a plurality of bags and each bag includes at least one handle. A grip comprises a tube enclosing a channel and having a curvature shape to contour at least one handle. An elongated slot is positioned on an exterior of the tube and extends therethrough. The elongated slot extends through each end of the pair of ends of the tube.
Claims
1. An open container carrier handle system comprising: a plurality of bags, each bag including at least one handle; and a grip comprising a tube enclosing a channel and having a curvature shape configured to contour at least one handle, said tube having a pair of ends, each end of said pair of ends being open, an exterior of said tube having an elongated slot extending therethrough, said elongated slot extending through each end of said pair of ends of said tube.
2. The open container carrier handle system of claim 1, wherein said pair of ends is flared and symmetrical to facilitate inserting at least handle through said elongated slot into said channel.
3. The open container carrier handle system of claim 1, wherein an interior layer of said grip being a resiliently flexible material.
4. The open container carrier handle system of claim 3, wherein said interior layer of said grip comprises an elastomeric material.
5. The open container carrier handle system of claim 3, wherein an exterior layer of said grip enwraps an entirety of said interior layer.
6. The open container carrier handle system of claim 5, wherein said exterior layer comprises a fabric material.
7. An open container carrier handle system comprising: a plurality of bags, each bag including at least one handle; and a grip comprising a tube enclosing a channel and having a curvature shape configured to contour at least one handle, said tube having a pair of ends, each end of said pair of ends being open, an exterior of said tube having an elongated slot extending therethrough, said elongated slot extending through each end of said pair of ends of said tube, said pair of ends being flared and symmetrical to facilitate inserting at least handle through said elongated slot into said channel, an interior layer comprising a resiliently flexible material, said interior layer of said grip comprising an elastomeric material, an exterior layer enwrapping an entirety of said interior layer, said exterior layer comprising a fabric material.
8. A method for facilitating carrying an open container comprising the steps of: providing a grip; inserting at least one handle of each bag of a plurality of bags through an elongated slot into a channel of said grip; positioning said elongated slot of said grip upwardly; and grabbing a bottom of said grip to carry said plurality of bags.
Description
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)
[0012] The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0021] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
[0022] As best illustrated in
[0023] Alternatively, the open container carrier handle system and method 10 may comprise a pail 16 such as a paint-containing bucket having an opening extending through a top side of the pail 16, wherein the opening forms an upper perimeter edge 18 of the pail 16. A handgrip 20 is typically coupled to the pail 16 and includes a pair of rods 22. Each of the rods 22 is attached to and extends upwardly from the upper perimeter edge 18 of the pail 16. Each of the rods 22 attaches to a clutching member 24, wherein the clutching member 24 connects the pair of rods 22 together.
[0024] A grip 26 comprises a tube 28 enclosing a channel 30 and having a curvature shape configured to contour at least one handle 14. The tube 28 has a pair of ends 32 and each end 32 of the pair of ends 32 is open. An exterior of the tube 28 has an elongated slot 34 extending therethrough. The elongated slot 34 extends through each end 32 of the pair of ends 32 of the tube 28 and allows access into the channel 30 of the tube 28. The pair of ends 32 is flared and symmetrical to facilitate inserting at least one handle 14 through the elongated slot 34. An interior layer 36 comprises a resiliently flexible material and will typically comprise an elastomeric material such as rubber or silicone. An exterior layer 38 normally enwraps an entirety of the interior layer 36 and typically comprises a fabric material.
[0025] In use, the grip 26 is provided and at least one handle 14 of each bag 12 of the plurality of bags 12 is inserted through the elongated slot 34 into the channel 30. The grip 26 typically will enwrap each handle 14 of the pair of handles 14 of each bag 12 to facilitate carrying the bags 12. The elongated slot 34 is positioned upwardly relative to at least one handle 14 to inhibit accidentally removing the handle 14 through the elongated slot 34 when grabbing the grip 26. A bottom of the grip 26 is grabbed thereafter to carry the plurality of bags 12.
[0026] Alternatively, the clutching member 24 of the handgrip 20 is inserted through the elongated slot 34 into the channel 30 of the grip 26. The grip 26 will typically enwrap the clutching member 24 to facilitate carrying the pail 16. The elongated slot 34 is normally positioned upwardly relative to the clutching member 24 to inhibit accidentally removing the clutching member 24 through the elongated slot 34 while grabbing the grip 26.
[0027] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
[0028] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word comprising is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article a does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
