    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0048] For simplicity and illustrative purposes, the principles of the present invention are described by referring mainly to various exemplary embodiments thereof. Although the preferred embodiments of the invention are particularly disclosed herein, one of ordinary skill in the art will readily recognize that the same principles are equally applicable to, and can be implemented in other systems, and that any such variation would be within such modifications that do not part from the true spirit and scope of the present invention. Before explaining the disclosed embodiments of the present invention in detail, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited in its application to the details of any particular arrangement shown, since the invention is capable of other embodiments. The terminology used herein is for the purpose of description and not of limitation.

[0049] FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment of the hanging packaging 10 in a three-dimensional view. A right-handed coordinate system with a height coordinate x, a width coordinate y, and a depth coordinate z is shown at the upper end of FIG. 1. (Here, the naming of the coordinates is based on the right-hand (first) shell of the packaging). The three coordinates are orthogonal to one another. The hanging packaging 10 comprises the removable hanger 13 (depicted on the left) and the product packaging 12 (depicted on the right). The removable hanger 13 is shown in FIG. 1 in a state removed from the product packaging 12. The removable hanger 13 comprises a first part 34 and a second part 36 of the hanger 13. The first part 34 of the hanger 13 has a hanging element 14 at the upper end of the first part 34, which hanging element serves to hang the entire hanging packaging 10 from a sales holder. A holder of this type generally comprises one bar, or also two bars guided in parallel The hanging element 14 can be a Euro hole, which is also referred to as a Euro slot, or (as depicted here in the first embodiment) can be a hook hanger.

[0050] The first part 34 of the hanger 13 has, at the lower end, a first connection element 16. The first connection element 16 is embodied as a hook in the embodiment of FIG. 1. The second part 36 of the hanger 13 has a second connection element 18 and a web element 20 at the lower end. The web element 20 connects the first connection element 16 to the second connection element 18. The second connection element 18 is embodied in the present case as an elongate connection lug.

[0051] In the present case the hanger 13 is formed in two parts. In order to connect the first part 34 of the hanger 13 to the second part of the hanger 13, the hook of the first connection element 16 of the first part 34 of the hanger 13 is inserted through a slot located at the upper end of the second part 36 of the hanger 13.

[0052] The product packaging 12 has a first shell 26 and a second shell 28, which are connected to one another with the aid of two hinges 44. The first shell 26 can be placed by means of the first contact frame 30 against the second contact frame 32 of the second shell 28. The second shell 28 has a third connection element 22 in the second contact frame 32, which third connection element is formed as a cutout in the present case. The second shell 28, on the outside, also has a fourth connection element 24, which in the height direction x lies close to an upper end of the second shell 28. The fourth connection element 24 is formed as a slot in accordance with the first embodiment.

[0053] The first connection element 16 can be connected to the third connection element 22 reversibly. The second connection element 18 can be connected to the fourth connection element 24 reversibly. The elongate connection lug of the second connection element 18 forms a connection to the slot of the fourth connection element 24 by inserting the connection lug in the slot (in a form-fitting manner) or by fixing the connection lug in the slot (in a frictionally engaged manner). The hook of the first connection element 16 can then be inserted into the cutout of the third connection element 22. Here, it can be necessary to firmly press the second connection element 18 against the second shell 28 and to pull the hook of the first connection element 16 along the height direction x and the width direction y. If the hook of the first connection element 16 lies in the cutout of the third connection element 22, the first shell 26 can be placed by means of the first contact frame 30 against the second contact frame 32 of the second shell 28, whereby the hook of the first connection element 16 is fixed in the cutout of the third connection element 22 between the first contact frame 30 of the first shell 26 and the second contact frame 32 of the second shell 28.

[0054] It is clear to a person skilled in the art that it is also possible to firstly connect the first connection element 16 to the third connection element 22 and to only then connect the second connection element 18 to the fourth connection element 24.

[0055] FIGS. 2 and 3 show a second embodiment of the hanging packaging 10 from different perspectives. FIG. 4 shows the hanger 13 of the second embodiment in the same perspective as the hanging packaging 10 in FIG. 3.

[0056] In FIG. 2 a hanging packaging 10 which is considered along the negative width direction y is depicted. The height direction x and the width direction z are specified by a coordinate system at the top of FIG. 2. Since FIGS. 3 and 4 show the same perspective, a coordinate system is specified at the upper end between FIGS. 3 and 4 and is valid for both drawings.

[0057] FIGS. 2 and 3 show the hanging packaging 10 with the hanger 13 and the product packaging 12. The product packaging 12 has a first shell 26 and a second shell 28, which are movably connected to one another by at least one hinge 44. In the present second embodiment, the product packaging 12 is illustrated in the closed position. Furthermore, both the first shell 26 and the second shell 28 are divided into two parts, in each case an upper part and a lower part. Here, it is possible to open the upper part of the first shell 26 whilst the lower part of the first shell 26 remains closed, i.e. the first contact frame 30 of the lower part of the first shell 26 remains in contact against the second contact frame 32 of the second shell 28.

[0058] It can be clearly seen in FIG. 2 that the hanger 13 has a first part 34 and a second part 36, that is to say is formed in two parts. Since the hanging packaging 10 is closed, the connection elements, i.e. the first connection element 16, the second connection element 18, the third connection element 22, and the fourth connection element 24, cannot be clearly seen in this view. However, what can be seen are the first fastening point 38, at which the first connection element 16 is connected to the third connection element 22, and the second fastening point 40, at which the second connection element 18 is connected to the fourth connection element 24. The first part 34 of the hanger 13 arranged at the top has a Euro cutout 46 as hanging element 14.

[0059] FIG. 4 shows the removable hanger 13 in the same perspective as is illustrated in FIG. 3. The hanger 13 has a first part 34 and a second part 36, i.e. is formed in two parts. Here, the upper part 34 of the hanger 13 has a hanging element 14, and the lower part 36 of the hanger 13 has a first connection element 16, a second connection element 18, and a web element 20, which for the hanger 13 constitutes a connection between the first connection element 16 and a second connection element 18. The second part 36 of the hanger 13 also has a tab 52, which is located above the first fastening point 38. The second part 36 of the hanger 13 is connected at the tab 52 to the first part 34 of the hanger 13 by means of a third fastening point 50; see FIG. 2. When used as intended, the tab 52 runs vertically, i.e. along the x-axis. In the second embodiment, the second part 36 is formed in one piece with the components constituted by the first connection element 16, second connection element 18, web element 20, and tab 52. This has the advantage that the fastening of the second part 36 of the hanger 13 to the product packaging 12 has an increased stability.

[0060] The fastening point 50 can be a spot weld for example, which connects two plastic parts to one another. In principle, the hanger 13 can be formed expediently in one part, or in two or three parts. A one-part embodiment can be produced in a stable and economical manner. A two-part embodiment makes it possible to make the tab 52 movable relative to the second part 36, which can assist the fastening and release of the first connection element 16. If the hanging element is formed as a separate part, a hook or a Euro slot for example can be easily selected for the packaging.

[0061] The first connection element 16, which is attached at the upper end of the web element 20 of the second part 36 of the hanger 13 and is integrally connected to the second part 36 of the hanger, is to be connected at the first fastening point 38 to the product packaging 12; see FIG. 2. The second connection element 18, which is attached at the lower end of the second part 36 of the hanger 13 and is integrally connected to the second part 36 of the hanger 13, is to be connected at the second fastening point 40 to the product packaging 12; see FIG. 2.

[0062] FIGS. 5 and 6 show sectional views of a third embodiment of the hanging packaging. FIGS. 5 and 6 show an embodiment in which a center of gravity of the product packaging can be shifted along a horizontal plane, so that the entire hanging packaging 10 does not hang down in a skewed manner, but straight. Here, the term straight can relate to a main axis of the packaging 12 which is preferably a vertically running main axis and/or a plane of the first part 34 of the hanger 13 when the hanging packaging is used as intended.

[0063] FIG. 5 shows a removable hanger 13, which comprises a first part 34 of the hanger 13 and a second part 36 of the hanger 13. The first part 34 of the hanger 13 comprises a flat material, the upper end of which comprises a hanging element 14. At the lower end of the flat material, the first part 34 comprises a rail 42, of which the longitudinal axis is perpendicular to the flat material. The second part 36 of the hanger 13 is formed in one piece and, as components, comprises a web element 20, a first connection element 16, a second connection element 18, and a tab 52 and a slider 48. The last-mentioned components are formed in one piece. The slider 48 of the second part 36 of the hanger 13 can be moved on the rail 42 of the first part 34 of the hanger 13. The connection between the slider 48 and the rail 42 is secure enough that the slider 48 does not move relative to the rail 42 without being acted on by external forces and is loose enough that a user can move the slider 48 along the rail 42 by hand. In the depiction of FIG. 5, the product packaging 12 is not illustrated, and the anticipated center of gravity of the hanging packaging, that is to say inclusive of the product packaging not illustrated, is located on the center of gravity line SPL. Since the first part 34 of the hanger 13 is also located on the center of gravity line SPL, this means that the rail 42 and the second part 36 of the hanger 13, as overall system, have a center of gravity which is likewise located on the center of gravity line SPL. In this situation the hanging packaging hangs straight down. The center of gravity of a product to be received can also be taken into account, if foreseeable.

[0064] FIG. 6 illustrates a situation similar to FIG. 5, but differs in that an anticipated center of gravity of the system consisting of rail 42 and the second part 36 of the hanger 13 is located at another point under consideration of a horizontal spacing of a reference point of the second part 36 of the hanger 13 from the anticipated center of gravity or the center of gravity line SPL. A reference point of this type could be the tab 52, for example. It can be seen in FIG. 6 that the horizontal spacing of the center of gravity line SPL and the tab 52 is larger than in FIG. 5. Since the hangers 13 in FIGS. 5 and 6 are identical, this can only mean that an anticipated center of gravity of a product packaging to be connected lies further to the left as considered in the drawing plane of FIG. 6 than in FIG. 5, as considered from the slider 48. It can thus be seen that the hanger 13 can be adapted to different horizontal positions of an anticipated center of gravity of a product packaging, so that a vertically running first part 34 of the hanger 13, at which the hanging packaging is hung by means of a hanging point, can be connected by means of a vertical line to the center of gravity of the hanging packaging as a whole.

[0065] This means that the hanging packaging hangs down straight. The third embodiment thus achieves a presentation of the product in a display packaging that is appealing to a customer, since the packaging can be adapted regardless of the anticipated center of gravity so that it hangs down straight and therefore can be easily seen. Furthermore, the customer, after purchasing the hanging packaging, can remove the hanger again and can still use the product packaging to store the product.

[0066] The foregoing disclosure has been set forth merely to illustrate the invention and is not intended to be limiting. Since modifications of the disclosed embodiments incorporating the spirit and substance of the invention may occur to persons skilled in the art, the invention should be construed to include everything within the scope of the appended claims and equivalents thereof.
