Abstract
This concept is very new and it will allow for safe continued operation of heating units until the proper replacement draft induce fan can be acquired and installed. This invention is a supplemental draft induce fan that will attach to the exhaust output side of a heating units inoperable draft induce fan to draft air through it and create a vacuum to the pressure switch to make the heating unit work safely until the correct part is acquired and installed.
Claims
1. Topside Draft Induce Fan A motorized blower with a directed input for pulling a draft through an exhaust outlet comprising, Two opposite direction pointing housings on the blower for drawing air in from one direction, being attached to the exhaust outlet of the inoperative draft induce fan, and the other opening of the blower pointing in the opposite direction, being attached to the flue to expelled the air or byproducts of combustion to the atmosphere. This concept and device, when installed, will allow the heating unit to operate safely when the draft induce fan has stop working. To date, whenever the draft induce fan has stopped operating it first must be replaced to safely operate the heating unit. This device will pull the draft through the non-operating draft induce fan enough to clear the heat exchanger of any gas or fumes, helping in combustion, creating the proper vacuum to close the bellow switch which in turn will send the voltage to the ignitor and other parts that make the heating unit works. This device is design to serve as a temporary fix but can serve as long as needed until the proper drat induce fan for the heating unit can be acquired and installed to replace the non-operative fan. The Topside draft induce fan will allow the service tech to connect to any heating unit regardless of the size of the flue are tight and will seal out all fumes, preventing any carbon monoxide emissions. The new heating units today will not operate without the draft induce fan being operational, this topside draft induce fan will substitute in times when heating operations is really needed and the proper draft induce fan for that unit is not readily available. Being that there are several types, models, sizes and shapes of draft induce fans, this topside draft induce fan is universal. A motorized blower made of heat tempered material comprising, A device or apparatus that will attach to the outlet of heating units' inoperable draft induce fan and the outlet of the device will attach to the flue to disperse the byproducts of combustion into the atmosphere. A device that when in operation will draft through inoperable draft induce fan to relieve Heating unit of fumes and/or gases and expelled said gases out through the flue into the atmosphere. A device operating when connected to inoperable draft induce fan on heating unit will create a vacuum from inoperable draft induce fan to the pressure switch. The draft Created by this device is enough to maintain the safe, controlled and Comfortable operation of heating units.
2. Device is universal to supplement the draft for all heating units that utilizes a draft induce fan as a safety device and will also attach to any flue to disperse the byproducts of combustion into the atmosphere.
3. There are two different models of this device that are designed to operate equally as well with a minimal amount of disassembly and reassembling.
4. This device is for temporary use but can function efficiently as long as needed.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0019] The first step in assembling this device is to assemble the three parts that makeup the
[0020] Remove the exhaust pipe from the heating unit and place the topside draft induce fan in its place. Reinstall the exhaust pipe onto the out-flow exhaust side of the topside draft induce fan,
making sure the exhaust pipes are installed correctly. Unplug the old draft induce fan's electrical supply and use that voltage, along with one of the electrical connection adaptors provided to connect to and power the topside draft induce fan. When the heating unit is turned on, vacuum is created sufficiently enough through the non-operating draft induce fan to close the bellow/pressure switch, which will send voltage to the igniter causing it to heat up, the gas regulator valve will open to release gas to the burner and the heating unit will light. This top-side draft induce fan is utilizing the old draft induce fan's power source, pulling the vacuum and drafting the exhaust in the same manner the old draft induce fan was intended to. The only thing disconnected and reconnected on the heating unit is the power to the unit's draft induce fan and raising the exhaust pipe off the heating unit, installing the topside draft induce fan on.
the exhaust side of the unit's draft fan and reinstalling the exhaust pipes on the exhaust out flow side of the topside draft induce fan.
This topside draft induce fan can be constructed basically from the same material that all other draft induce fans are made from. The topside unit is designed with an intake that will create negative pressure inside of a heating unit by pulling air through the non-operating draft induce fan which will allow the service technicians not to have to remove the old draft induce fan until the replacement is ready to be installed. The two models of the topside unit are designed to fit in the small space on some heating units and both will operate very efficiently on all heating units that depends of forced draft.
[0021] The topside draft induce fan will allow the heating unit to operate safely without having to bypass any component or safely features on the heating unit. The topside unit is universally designed to fit any heating unit and when properly installed will allow for safe and continued operation of the heating unit.
