    Abstract

What is described is a finishing device for a floor (1) with a finishing strip (3) and a holder (2) forming a wall leg (6), which holder has a holding web (8), which protrudes upwardly parallel to the wall leg (6) and engages in a downwardly open receiving groove (9) of the finishing strip (3), for receiving the finishing strip (3) in a clamped manner. In order to ensure advantageous fastening conditions for the finishing strip (3), it is proposed that the receiving groove (9) in cross-section has a central axis (11) inclined away from the wall leg (6).

    Claims

    1. A finishing device for a floor (1) with a finishing strip (3) and a holder (2) forming a wall leg (6), which holder has a holding web (8), which protrudes upwardly parallel to the wall leg (6) and engages in a downwardly open receiving groove (9) of the finishing strip (3), for receiving the finishing strip (3) in a clamped manner, wherein the receiving groove (9) in cross-section has a central axis (11) inclined away from the wall leg (6).

    2. The finishing device according to claim 1, wherein in cross-section the central axis (11) of the receiving groove (9), together with the wall leg (6) of the holder (2), encloses an angle between 7 and 15, preferably between 9 and 12.

    Description

    BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING

[0008] The subject matter of the invention is illustrated in an exemplary manner in the drawing, and more specifically a finishing device for a floor according to the invention is shown in a schematic cross-section.

    DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0009] The finishing device for a floor 1 according to the invention comprises a holder 2 for a finishing strip 3, which is held down both on the floor 1 and on the wall 4 with the aid of the plastic holder 2, which can be secured to a wall 4. The holder 2 forms a floor leg 5 supported on the floor 1 and a wall leg 6, which protrudes from the floor leg 5 and which is provided with slot-like through-holes 7 so as to be securely screwed to the wall 4. The wall leg 6 carries a holding web 8, which engages in a downwardly open receiving groove 9 of the finishing strip 3 and has clamping fins 10, preferably made of a softer plastic. The receiving groove 9 is oriented so that the central axis 11 of its cross-section runs at an incline relative to the wall leg 6 of the holder 2 and together therewith preferably encloses an angle between 9 and 12.

[0010] The holding web 8, which can be bent out resiliently at least to the extent of the angle of inclination a, in the unloaded state runs parallel to the wall leg 6 of the holder 2 and together with the receiving groove 9 of the finishing strip 3 thus likewise encloses the angle of inclination a, as indicated in the drawing by means of a dot-dash line. If the finishing strip 3, in order to be secured, is slid onto the holding web 8 of the holder 2 secured to the wall 4, the holding web 8 engaging in the receiving groove 9 of the finishing strip 3 is bent away from the wall leg 6 as a result of the design specifications and is pretensioned, thus causing a pressing force on the finishing strip 3 in the direction of the wall 4, so that, as the finishing strip 3 is slid onto the holding web 8, the finishing strip 3 is held pressed against the wall 4 under a corresponding pretension. In addition, due to the engagement of the holding web 8 in the receiving groove 9 of the finishing strip 3 under pretension, said holding web is clamped in the receiving groove 9 in an intensified manner, and therefore the holder 2 is braced on account of the pretensioning of the holding web 8 and its guidance in the receiving groove 9.

[0011] In the extension of the holding web 8, the holder 2 forms a securing tongue 12 with a securing stop 13, which engages behind a counter stop, formed by a longitudinal groove 14 in the finishing strip 3, when the finishing strip 3 rests on the floor 1 in the secured position. An unintentional removal of the finishing strip 3 from the holder 2 is additionally prevented by means of this securing stop 13.
