    Abstract

    Life saving weapon and/or ammunition that comprises a remotely controlled firing mechanism to unlock and lock the striker remotely. The striker (S) is provided or modified with a hole or cavity (C44) which is to filled or vacated as per commands issued from remote command center, e.g., police control. The a miniature motor with gears and belt or alike mechanism may drive the motorized locking pin (ML) into the said hole/cavity, which immobilizes the striker and prevents the firing.

    Claims

    1. A weapon and/or ammunition, characterized by a remotely controlled firing mechanism thereof to unlock and lock the striker remotely, wherein the striker (S) is provided or modified with a hole or cavity (C44) which is to filled or vacated as per commands issued from remote command center, e.g., police control, whereby a miniature motor with gears and belt or alike mechanism may drive the motorized locking pin (ML) into the said hole/cavity, which immobilizes the striker and prevents the firing.

    2. The weapon and/or ammunition according to claim 1, characterized in that the cartridges/bullets of are provided with RF sensitive wireless chips (C4).

    3. The weapons and/or ammunition according to claim 2, characterized in that wireless chips (C4) are energized by the hole/cavity (C44) that receives commands remotely to unlock/lock the activation of a fuse (C3) that is preferably a very low resistance and very finely made fuse.

    4. The weapon and/or ammunition according to claim 3, characterized in that the fuse (C3) is made of suitable material and rating such that very small current amount stored in active SMD components of the chips (4), can blow it off, enough producing heat for gunpowder, whereby the heat power dissipated is enough to fire the ignition chamber of the bullet.

    5. The weapon and/or ammunition according to claim 3, characterized in that the electronics locks and unlocks the striker (S) and/or cartridges/bullets remotely, i.e. by police.

The weapon and/or ammunition according to claim 5, characterized in that the electronics in the hole/cavity (C44) comprises GPS, GSM, RF, NFC, Satellite based and other cellular modules, whereby microphone, camera units may can be added on to get real time simpler data, and that the said electronics in the hole/cavity (C44) is battery powered while the electronics in the hole/cavity (C44) receives very small wireless power i.e. thru electromagnetic inductions, the power being enough to operate and ignite the propelling fire in combustible matter,

The weapon and/or ammunition according to claim 5, characterized in that the weapon and/or ammunition gets locked the under circumstances selected from the group comprising: Low battery condition, entering a remote area that uncovered by cellular signals, disassembly or removal of firing mechanism assembly, intended locking remotely, e.g. by police.

    [0027] Depending upon economic factors following choices from the proposed solutions can be made: [0028] (1) Calling back of all old bullet cartridges and replacing them with RF/NFC/Wireless chip based cartridges.     DESCRIPTION & WORKING CONCEPTS

    [0031] 1. To keep the change at minimalistic levels for economics involved in productions, the only modification is proposed in the general firing mechanism of weapons. Operation is simple, to unlock and lock the striker remotely. Striker is modified with a simple hole/cavity. This cavity is filled or vacated as per commands issued from C44 (& from police control). The miniature motor with gears & belt or similar mechanism, can drive the ML (Motorized Locking pin) into the hole or cavity. Thus the striker itself gets locked. When striker can't move, firing can't happen. This can be achieved in few seconds remotely.

Even if all distributed weapons can't be called/phased Off, there is still a feasible cheaper solutionTo stop producing old bullets & cartridges and introduce these RF/NFC wireless chip based cartridges or bullets. Undoubtedly, this is not only practical but also highly cost effective & practical. The cartridges/bullets then have C4 RF wireless chips. Using latest advancements in technologies, the C4 can be energized by C44 (C44 in turn gets commands remotely from police control) to unlock/lock the activation of C3. C3 is a very low resistance fuse, very finely made. It is made of suitable material and rating such that very small amount of current stored in active SMD components of the C4, can blow it off, enough producing heat for gunpowder. The heat power dissipated is enough to fire the ignition chamber of the bullet. Notably, the current in C3 is enabled/disabled remotely using C44. C44 unit has to be in proximity of the weapon. Depending upon its ON/OFF state, the bullet fires normally when Weapon is triggered, forcing the striker to push the Pin inside the bullet, from position P1 to P2. The action is smooth, non violent and seamless to make contact of C1 to C2 & complete the electric firing mechanism. The fuse blows off producing ample heat to ignite the gunpowder. (The concept given here leaves ample optimization options for mechanical & electrical designs and thus out of scope of this current document.)

    [0033] 3. The electronics proposed is used to simply Lock & Unlock the striker AND/OR cartridges remotely, i.e. by police. Thus either way it is guaranteed to work fully.

    [0034] 4. The electronics comprise of GPS, GSM, RF, NFC etc., Satellite based and latest available cellular modules. microphone, camera can be added on to get real time simpler data. Whole electronics C44 is battery powered while C4 gets very small wireless power i.e. thru electromagnetic inductions, just enough to operate & ignite the propelling fire in combustible matter. The battery charge in C44 can be retained for weeks, thanks to modern technological advancements. This ensures that the device can be constantly monitored globallywhen usable. When unusable, none needs to care.

It (Striker and/or C4 bullet) will automatically get the Locked mode under following: [0036] 5.1 Low battery condition (this is intended forced implementation) The Recharging/energizing patterns by the (potential) killer, will alarm the police control. The sole reason of energizing or Recharging the weapon Key (C44) battery will mean that A Firing is highly probable and gives ample time for countermeasures i.e. locking the weapon remotely by police. The criminal cant trick by switching off the monitoring system. Thus, if a potent killer, the weapon will be traceable & lockable at all times. With latest batteries, a single charge can keep the weapon active for weeks altogether thereby reducing this burden. The devices periodically syncs the police control room with minimalist statistics.

    [0037] 5.2 Entering a remote area uncovered by cellular signals (this is intended forced implementation) Most crimes are executed in suburbs and far off places to permanently dispose, hide the body including evidences. Any person, intending to hold the weapon legally, still has to be Re-authorized by police to keep the weapon active. Naturally the police has ample time and resources like locational information to prevent the crimes.

    [0038] 5.3 Disassembly or removal of firing mechanism assembly. The whole firing assembly is 1 piece factory made. This is to ensure that any tampering to the firing mechanism or electronics is impossible. (the ordnance factories already have real capabilities to achieve such designs.) Any attempt to tamper will alert the police and disarm the weapon.

    [0039] 5.4 Intended locking by police remotely. Whenever there is a crime or suicide, there are human track-able indications, which can be easily monitored, and mishaps prevented. No drastic change happens overnight in normal humans. There are traceable factors, behavioral patterns prior to all mishaps/crimes/suicides etc.: [0040] Person constantly suffering mental illness and doctor visits are potentials triggering alarm [0041] Persons facing acute life conditions, definitely reporting in social offices, alarm [0042] Persons facing business or other big losses whose data is alarming at banks, alarms [0043] All other track-able warning records in any civilized population system [0044] terrorist alerts [0045] Suspected Charging/discharging patterns of the C44 unit, [0046] All other tracked traced user data monitoring over phone/electronic media etc. [0047] Others . . .

    [0048] 6. When programmed to do so, the C44 unit will uplink/downlink ACK/sync/management or data packets voluntarily and also involuntarily. Apart from device health checks this facilitates any interventions or alert based intrusion from the control room.

    [0049] 7. There is no User Privacy issues or statements needing approval when there is serious question on human lives. If armed person (& potential killer) is worried for her privacy, he can very well switch off the device inactive or refrain from even carrying them in public places etc.
