Abstract
The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a shaped paperboard product. According to the invention, a paperboard blank is shaped by means of a shaping tool (2) comprising a female tool element (3) and a male tool element (4), of which tool elements one is moved relative to the other tool element, and a frame tool element (5) arranged in connection with the male tool element, and the brim of the paperboard product being formed is evened by means of the frame tool element in connection with shaping. The invention also relates to the use of the apparatus.
Claims
1. A method for manufacturing a shaped paperboard product, wherein a paperboard blank is shaped by means of a shaping tool comprising a female tool element and a male tool element, one of which tool elements is moved relative to the other tool element, and a frame tool element which is arranged in connection with the male tool element, and the brim of the paperboard product being formed is evened by means of the frame tool element in connection with shaping, the distribution of force and the pressing force of the male tool element relative to the female tool element being controlled by means of a flexible structure of the male tool element, and the frame tool element is controlled by means of at least two actuators of the frame tool element, and the path of movement of the frame tool element is adjusted mechanically by means of at least one adjustment piece which is arranged in connection with the actuator of the frame tool, and the frame tool element is controlled independently.
2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the female tool element is moved relative to the male tool element to provide pressure.
3. The method according to claim 1, wherein the flexible structure used is a disc spring.
4. The method according to claim 1, wherein the movement and pressing force of the frame tool element are controlled by means of at least two actuators of the frame tool element.
5. The method according to claim 1, wherein the adjustment piece is arranged under the actuator of the frame tool.
6. An apparatus for manufacturing a shaped paperboard product, wherein the apparatus comprises at least one shaping tool, by means of which a paperboard blank is shaped, and the shaping tool comprises a female tool element and a male tool element, of which tool elements one is moved relative to the other tool element, and a frame tool element arranged in connection with the male tool element to even the brim of the paperboard product being formed, at least two actuators of the frame tool element for controlling the frame tool element, and in connection with the actuator of the frame tool element at least one adjustment piece for mechanically adjusting the path of movement of the frame tool element, and the male tool element comprises at least one or more flexible structures, by means of which the distribution of force and the pressing force of the male tool element relative to the female tool element can be controlled, and the frame tool element is independently controllable.
7. The apparatus according to claim 6, wherein the female tool element is arranged above the male tool element and is moved relative to the male tool element.
8. The apparatus according to claim 6, wherein the shaping tool comprises at least one actuator of the female tool element for moving the female tool element.
9. The apparatus according to claim 6, wherein the male tool element comprises at least one or more disc springs, by means of which it is possible to control the pressing force of the male tool element relative to the female tool element.
10. The apparatus according to claim 6, wherein the frame tool element is arranged in connection with the male tool element in such a way that the frame tool element is configured to peripherally surround the male tool element.
11. The apparatus according to claim 6, wherein the shaping tool comprises at least two actuators of the frame tool element for controlling the movement and pressing force of the frame tool element.
12. The apparatus according to claim 6, wherein under the actuator of the frame tool element there is at least one adjustment piece for mechanically adjusting the path of movement of the frame tool element.
13. The apparatus according to claim 6, wherein the apparatus comprises at least one control means for controlling the shaping tool.
14. The apparatus according to claim 6, wherein the shaping tool comprises means for lifting the frame tool element.
15. The apparatus according to claim 6, wherein the apparatus is a tool module which is connectable to a modular paperboard product manufacturing line.
16. Use of the apparatus according to claim 6 in the manufacture of a paperboard product.
Description
LIST OF FIGURES
[0031]
[0032]
EXAMPLES
[0033] The invention will now be described in detail by way of an example of its embodiment with reference to the accompanying figures.
[0034]
[0035]
[0036] Further, the shaping tool (2) comprises a frame tool element (5) arranged in connection with the male tool element (4) to peripherally surround the male tool element. The frame tool element (5) is arranged to even the edge of the paperboard product being formed and to control the folding of the paperboard blank in connection with shaping. The mating piece for the frame tool element (5) is the female tool element (3). Further, the shaping tool (2) comprises at least two actuators (6) of the frame tool element, e.g. pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders, for controlling the movement and pressing force of the frame tool element (5). In connection with the actuator (6) of the frame tool element, such as under it, there is at least one adjustment piece (7) for mechanically adjusting the path of movement of the frame tool element (5).
[0037] The apparatus comprises at least one control means (not shown in the figure) for controlling the shaping tool (2) in such a way that the female tool element (3) can be independently controlled where desired, and the frame tool element (5) can be independently controlled relative to the male tool element (4) where desired. Different control operations for evening the brim of the paperboard product can be performed separately, i.e. independently of one another, or alternatively as a function of one another.
[0038] The shaping tool (2) may comprise means for lifting the frame tool element (5), whereby the shaped paperboard product is liftable from the male tool element (4).
[0039] Further, the apparatus comprises at least one heating means (not shown in the figure) for heating the shaping tool or part of it.
[0040] The method and the apparatus according to the invention are suitable, as various embodiments, for use in providing shaping devices for paperboard blanks of various types, and for use in connection with the manufacture of various paperboard products or the like.
[0041] The invention is not exclusively limited to the above examples, but many variations are possible within the scope of the inventive idea defined by the claims.
