    BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

    [0006] For a more complete understanding of this disclosure, reference is now made to the following description, taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which:

    [0007] FIG. 1 depicts a front perspective view of an embodiment of a pant according to the present disclosure;

    [0008] FIG. 2 depicts a side perspective view of an embodiment of the pant of FIG. 1 according to the present disclosure; and

    [0009] FIG. 3 depicts a front perspective view of an embodiment of a pant according to the present disclosure.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION

    [0010] The present disclosure describes a pant for use by pregnant women. The pant can have a front side that is lower than a back side so that the front side can fit around the user's pregnant belly without pressing against or cutting into the skin of the user's pregnant belly.

    [0011] FIG. 1 can depict a front perspective view of a pant 10. The pant 10 can have a waistband 100 that can have a front side 110 and a back side 120. In traditional pants, a front side and a back side of the waistband can be even to allow the pants to sit evenly on a user's hips or waist. The pant 10 of the present disclosure, however, is configured such that the front side 110 will sit lower than the back side 120. Pregnant women tend to purchase pants that are a larger size, wear pants with an elastic waistband, or other methods to not have a waistband squeeze tightly on their pregnant belly. The pant 10 of the present disclosure can have a front side 110 of the waistband 100 that is shaped as a semi-circle 112 or U-shape 113 to fit under the user's pregnant belly. Other shapes can be used without departing from the present disclosure. The back side 120 of the waistband 100 can still be generally flat to fit evenly across a back of the user's waist. At side portions 114 of the waistband 100, the waistband 100 can begin sloping down towards a center point 115 of the front side 110 to create the semi-circle 112, or U-shape 113. In traditional pants, the waistband can be configured to sit at or above the user's waist. The back side 120 of the waistband 100 can be configured to sit at or above the user's waist, while the front side 110 of the waistband 100 can be configured to sit at the pelvis, below the pregnant belly of the user.

    [0012] Two legs 200 can extend down from an upper portion 210 of the pant 10. In different embodiments of the pant 10 the two legs 200 can have different shapes for different styles. The two legs 200 of the pant 10 can fit the same as the same size and style of traditional pant, allowing the user the same fit and style while accommodating the user's pregnant belly.

    [0013] FIG. 2 depicts a side perspective view of an embodiment of the pant 10 of FIG. 1 according to the present disclosure. The back side 120 of the waistband 100 can be configured to sit at the waist of the user. The waistband 100 of the pant 10 can slope from the back side 120 towards the front side 110 of the waistband 100. The front side 110 of the waistband 100 can sit at the front of the pelvis of the user. The slope from the back side 120 of the waistband 100 to the front side 110 of the waistband 100 can be in the range of about 10 degrees to 25 degrees; alternatively, a range of about 13 degrees to 19 degrees; alternatively, a range of about 16 degrees. The slope of the waistband 100 can allow the pant 10 to sit comfortably on the waist of the user and securely hold the pant 10 on the user, while not constricting the pregnant belly or pressing into the skin of the pregnant belly.

    [0014] FIG. 3 depicts a front perspective view of an embodiment of a pant 10 according to the present disclosure. FIG. 3 depicts an embodiment of the pant 10 without a user in the pant 10. Without the user, the semi-circle 112 or U-shape 113 of the waistband 100 can be seen. The back side 120 of the waistband 100 can generally be even and flat, to sit at the back of the waist of the user. The front side 110 of the waistband 100 can be lower than the back side 120 and rounded to accommodate the pregnant belly of a user. The side portions 114 of the waistband 100 can slope down from the back side 120 to connect to the lower front side 110. The side portions 114 of the waistband 100 can have a slope in a range of about 10 degrees to about 25 degrees. The waistband 100 of a specific size of pant 10 can be longer than the waistband of a traditional pant of the same specific size. As the pant 10 slopes down and does not extend levelly around the user's waist, the waistband 100 needs to be longer to properly close around the user and sit below the user's pregnant belly. The pant 10 is designed to fit around the pregnant belly without changing any additional portions of the pant to be larger. Different embodiments of the pant 10 can offer different styles, such as boot cut, skinny, bell bottoms, culottes, cargo pants, regular fit, relaxed fit, loose fit, boyfriend fit, wide leg, baggy fit, jegging, straight cut, or slim fit while allowing the waistband to not restrict the pregnant belly. The shape of the waistband 100 was created to gently go around the pregnant belly while still fastening and securing the pant 10 to the user's lower body.

    [0015] While the pant 10 has been described in the present disclosure to be used for pregnant mothers, there are other uses considered by the disclosure. The pant 10 can also be used for people who have had abdomen surgery, have abdomen issues, use colostomy bags, people who need easy access to the lower abdomen, people with medical issues where traditional pants hurt or restrict too much, or combinations thereof.

    [0016] Although the present disclosure and its advantages have been described in detail, it should be understood that various changes, substitutions, and alterations can be made herein without departing from the spirit and scope of the disclosure. Moreover, the scope of the present application is not intended to be limited to the particular embodiments described in the specification. As one of ordinary skill in the art will readily appreciate substitutions presently existing or later developed that perform substantially the same function or achieve substantially the same result as the corresponding embodiments described herein may be utilized according to the present disclosure.
