Decorative Toilet Paper Holder

Abstract

The present invention relates to a decorative toilet paper holder. The holder is configured to be styled as one or more of an animal likeness, a sports equipment replica, a logo, a cartoon character, a doll, a toy and many more. The toilet paper holder comprises: a holder body that includes a cavity to accommodate a toilet paper roll; a weighted base or a suction cup attached to the bottom of the holder body, directly or through a detachable handle, for placing the holder on a surface; the toilet paper roll is rolled over a spindle within the cavity, wherein the spindle can be removed for replacing the toilet paper roll. The holder also includes a sleeve or pocket for storing an air freshener for providing fresh or scented air.

Claims

1. A toilet paper dispensing unit comprising: a toilet paper holder having an opening for dispensing a toilet paper; a portable weighted base, wherein said base includes an anti-skid bottom surface; a stand attached to said base; a pair of hinged locators for selectively securing opposing ends of a spindle; said spindle is a rotating spindle selectively removable from said hinged locators; and a sleeve housing in an interior of said holder, wherein said sleeve includes a pocket for an air freshener, wherein said holder includes at least one fixed edge for tearing said toilet paper at a predeterminable length.

2. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 1, wherein said anti-skid bottom surface is a suction cup.

3. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 2, wherein said base is selectively removably attached to said holder.

4. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 3, wherein said holder comprises a material selected from a group consisting of a silicone or a plastic.

5. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 4, wherein said toilet paper is a roll of toilet paper.

6. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 5, wherein said air freshener is replenishable.

7. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 3, wherein said holder comprises a material selected from a group consisting of a fiberglass and a rubber.

8. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 7 further comprising at least another fixed edge for tearing said toilet paper at a predeterminable length.

9. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 8, wherein said holder comprises a shape selected from a group consisting of a teddy bear, a football, a basketball and a soccer ball.

10. A toilet paper dispensing unit comprising: a toilet paper holder having an opening for dispensing a toilet paper; a portable weighted base, wherein said base includes an anti-skid bottom surface; a stand attached to said base; a pair of hinged locators for selectively securing opposing ends of a spindle; said spindle is a rotating spindle selectively removable from said hinged locators; and a sleeve housing in an interior of said holder, wherein said sleeve includes a pocket for an air freshener, wherein said rotation of said spindle actuates said air freshener.

11. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 10, wherein said holder includes at least one fixed edge for tearing said toilet paper at a predeterminable length.

12. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 11, wherein said anti-skid bottom surface is a suction cup.

13. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 12, wherein said base is selectively removably attached to said holder.

14. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 13, wherein said holder comprises a material selected from a group consisting of a silicone, a plastic, a fiberglass, and a rubber.

15. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 14, wherein said toilet paper is a roll of toilet paper.

16. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 15, wherein said air freshener is replenishable.

17. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 16 further comprising at least another fixed edge for tearing said toilet paper at a predeterminable length.

18. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 17, wherein said holder comprises a shape selected from a group consisting of a teddy bear, a football, a basketball and a soccer ball.

19. A toilet paper dispensing unit comprising: a toilet paper holder having an opening for dispensing a toilet paper; a portable weighted base, wherein said base includes an anti-skid bottom surface; a stand attached to said base; a pair of hinged locators for selectively securing opposing ends of a spindle; said spindle is a rotating spindle selectively removable from said hinged locators; a sleeve housing in an interior of said holder, wherein said sleeve includes a pocket for a replenishable air freshener; wherein said rotation of said spindle actuates said air freshener; wherein said holder comprises at least one fixed edge for tearing said toilet paper at a predeterminable length; wherein said anti-skid bottom surface is a suction cup; wherein said base is selectively removably attached to said holder; and said toilet paper is a roll of toilet paper.

20. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 19, wherein said holder comprises a shape selected from a group consisting of a teddy bear, a football, a basketball and a soccer ball.

[0028] The present invention, in one exemplary embodiment, is a novel toilet paper holder and dispenser device. The portable toilet paper holder and dispenser device includes a weighted base to place the device on a surface, a suction cup at the rear portion of the device to mount on a wall, a sleeve to conceal an air freshener or odor eating compound and a cavity within the holder body to store the toilet paper in the form of a roll over a spindle.

[0029] Referring initially to the drawings, FIG. 1 illustrates a perspective view of a one potential embodiment of decorative toilet paper holder of the present invention in accordance with the disclosed architecture. In the present embodiment, the decorative toilet paper holder 100 is in the form of a football 102. The holder 100 embodies a football 102, and comes in various colors and designs. The football 102 can have the logo and branding of football teams to make the holder 100 attractive, thereby increasing the aesthetic appeal of a bathroom. The holder 100 is portable and can be placed on any surface for convenient use. The holder 100 includes a weighted base 104, to allow a secure and stable placement of the holder 100 on a flat surface. Alternatively, the holder 100 can have a suction cup in place of the weighted base 104. The weighted base 104 includes anti-skid properties and remains stable on surfaces such as ceramic, marble, metal and the like. The weighted base 104 can be connected to a stand 106 that is attached to a base plate 108. The football design 102 can be hollow and may include an interior cavity 110 for storing a toilet paper roll 118 with a perforated paper portion 120 that can be accessed by a user.

The holder 100 is lightweight and durable.

To place the football-shaped decorative toilet paper holder 100 on a surface 202, such as a top surface of a toilet tank, the weighted base 104 can be placed securely thereto, and the weight of the base 104 can keep the holder 100 stable. As described above, in one potential embodiment, a suction cup can be used in place of the weighted base 104 for securing the holder 100 on a surface. The holder 100 remains stable when the toilet paper grasping end 120 is pulled by a user, due to the weighted base or suction cup used at the bottom of the holder 100. The toilet paper roll 118 can be replaced by opening the football body 102 through a slit 204 positioned at any convenient location. The cavity of the football body 102 can be accessed to replace the toilet paper roll 118 with a new roll.

[0033] FIG. 3A illustrates a front perspective view of a teddy bear-style embodiment of the decorative toilet paper roll holder of the present invention in accordance with the disclosed architecture. In one potential embodiment, the decorative toilet paper roll holder is in the form of a teddy bear-style toilet paper holder 300. The teddy bear-style toilet paper holder 300 is especially appealing for children, and can motivate them to use the toilet paper. The holder 300 includes a teddy bear-shaped body 302 and a weighted base 304 connected to the body 302 at the bottom through a handle (not shown). The teddy holder 300 has a first groove 306 in a left arm 3022 and a second groove 308 in a right arm 3020, to hold the spindle 310 on which the toilet paper roll 312 is placed. The spindle 310 easily allows the unrolling of toilet paper from the roll 312 by rotation when pulled by a user. It should be noted that the spindle 310 can be removed easily from the grooves 306, 308 for replacing the consumed toilet paper roll 312 with a new roll.

The teddy bear body 302 includes a sleeve 316 at the rear portion 314 of the body 302, and is configured to store a replaceable and replenishable air freshener 318. The sleeve 316 can be open or can include a zipper, snap button or hook and loop fasteners to secure the air freshener 318 within the sleeve 316. In another embodiment, the sleeve 316 can be connected to the spindle 310, wherein upon rotation of the spindle 310 the sleeve 316 can actuate or disperse the air freshener 318 autonomously.

The teddy bear style toilet paper roll holder 300 can be kept or retained to any surface such as a top surface 202 of the toilet tank, and can be supported and balanced by the weighted base 304. A child 400 easily pulls the perforated toilet paper 402 from the toilet roll 312 for use. The perforations allow the toilet paper to be torn and separated using very little force.

The basketball holder body 502 includes a cavity 512 to hold the toilet paper roll 508 in a spindle (not shown). The working of the spindle in the present embodiment is similar to the other embodiments as described above. A terminal end 520 of the toilet paper roll 508 can be easily accessed for pulling out the toilet paper for use. The basketball holder body 502 includes a sleeve or a pocket 510 for storing an air freshener or odor eater to keep the environment of the washroom pleasing.
