Abstract
A bottom member for a golf bag. The bottom member includes a slot or channel configured and positioned to receive a ridge or edge of a golf cart platform for preventing the golf bag from twisting, rotating or falling off the golf cart whilst in motion. The bottom member may be integral with the golf bag or affixed in an aftermarket manner.
Claims
1. A golf bag bottom member comprising: a housing defining a cavity, said cavity sized to receive a bottom portion of a golf bag; an outer portion of said cavity including a raised ridge adjacent to a slot; and wherein said slot is configured to receive a portion of a golf cart platform for preventing a golf bag with said bottom member attached thereto from rotating and/or falling off said golf cart.
2. The golf bag bottom member of claim 1 wherein said golf bag bottom member is integral with golf bag.
3. The golf bag bottom member of claim 1 wherein said golf bag bottom member is affixable to a golf bag.
4. The golf bag bottom member of claim 1 wherein said slot is defined by said raised ridge and a central portion of said housing.
5. The golf bag bottom member of claim 1 wherein said portion of said golf cart platform is an edge running a width thereof.
6. A golf bag comprising: a bottom member formed of a housing defining a cavity, said cavity sized to receive a bottom portion of said golf bag for connection thereto; an outer portion of said cavity including a raised ridge adjacent to a slot; and wherein said slot is configured to receive an edge of a golf cart platform for preventing a golf bag with said bottom member attached thereto from rotating and/or falling off said golf cart.
7. The golf bag of claim 6 wherein said slot is defined by said raised ridge and a central portion of said housing.
8. The golf bag of claim 6 wherein said portion of said golf cart platform is an edge running a width thereof.
9. A combination comprising: a golf bag; a bottom member formed of a housing defining a cavity, said cavity sized to receive a bottom portion of said golf bag; an outer portion of said cavity including a raised ridge adjacent to a slot; and wherein said slot is configured to receive an edge of a golf cart platform for preventing a golf bag with said bottom member attached thereto from rotating and/or falling off said golf cart.
10. The combination of claim 9 wherein said bottom member is integral with said golf bag.
11. The combination of claim 9 wherein said golf bag bottom member is affixable to said golf bag.
12. The combination of claim 9 wherein said slot is defined by said raised ridge and a central portion of said housing.
13. The combination of claim 9 wherein said portion of said golf cart platform is an edge running a width thereof.
