MULTIFUNCTIONAL LIGHTER CASE

Abstract

A multifunctional lighter case can comprise a housing that can be configured to hold a lighter. A top cap that can be moveably coupled to the housing between an open position and a closed position. A tool that can be retractably coupled to the housing. A bottom cap that can be removably coupled to the housing wherein the bottom cap can be configured to house a tracker. The latch for securing the cap in the closed position can comprise a snap or a latch. The housing can comprise a grip over mold. The housing can have a seal between the lid and the housing. The tool can be a poker, scrapper, screwdriver, or knife. The tool can be coupled to a push slider which can move the tool between its extended and retracted position.

Claims

1. A multifunctional lighter case comprising: a housing configured to hold a lighter; a top cap being moveably coupled to the housing between an open position and a closed position; a tool retractably coupled to the housing; a latch moveably coupled to the housing wherein the latch secures the top cap in the closed position; and a bottom coupled to or integrated with the housing wherein the bottom is configured to house a tracker.

2. The multifunctional lighter case according to claim 1, wherein the housing is sized and shaped to hold a standard size disposable lighter.

3. The multifunctional lighter case according to claim 1, wherein the top cap is hinged to the housing.

4. The multifunctional lighter case according to claim 1, the housing further comprises a loop or clip for attaching the lighter case to a keychain, belt loop, or other item.

5. The multifunctional lighter case according to claim 1, wherein the housing comprises a bottle opener.

6. The multifunctional lighter case according to claim 1, wherein the housing, cap, and tool are made of a durable, heat-resistant material.

7. The multifunctional lighter case according to claim 6, wherein the durable, heat-resistant material is metal or plastic.

8. The multifunctional lighter case according to claim 1, wherein the latch for securing the cap in the closed position comprises a snap or latch.

9. The multifunctional lighter case according to claim 1, wherein the housing comprises a grip over mold.

10. The multifunctional lighter case according to claim 1, wherein the housing has a seal between the lid and the housing.

11. The multifunctional lighter case according to claim 1, wherein the tool is a poker, scrapper, screwdriver, or knife.

12. The multifunctional lighter case according to claim 10, wherein the tool is coupled to a push slider which moves the tool between an extended position and a retracted position.

[0030] Referring initially to FIGS. 1-6, a multifunctional lighter case is shown generally at 10. The multifunctional lighter case 10 can comprise a housing 12 that can be configured to hold a lighter 50 wherein the housing can partially or fully hold the lighter. The housing 12 can be made from one piece or multiple pieces wherein the housing can comprise a slider slot 27 and first slot 42 having a bottle opener 36 and second slot 44 having a loop 38. The housing 12 can have side panels 34 coupled to it by such as, for example, adhesive, fasteners, or the like and in other embodiments the side panels can be omitted.

[0031] The housing 12 can have a first end 15 and a second end 17 wherein the first end can be open to a compartment 13 to hold a lighter 50 as shown in FIG. 7. The compartment 13 be sized and shaped to hold a lighter such as, for example, standard size disposable, torch lighter, butane lighter, electric lighter or the like. The housing 12 can be any suitable shape or size, like as shown in FIGS. 8, 9 and 10 wherein the size can be large enough to fit a lighter inside the compartment. The second end 17 can have a tracker slot that is horizontal as shown in FIG. 1, or it can be vertical as shown in FIG. 9. The first slot 42 can be configured to accept a bottle opener 36 or it can be configured to accept such as, for example, folded knife, corkscrew, file, scissor, or the like and in other embodiments the bottle opener can be integrated into the bottom cap as shown in FIG. 9. The top cap 14 can be moveable coupled to the housing 12 by a hinge wherein a spring 18 can allow the top cap to easily open to its open position and in other embodiments the spring can be omitted. The multifunctional lighter case 10 can further comprise a snap or latch mechanism 20 that can secure the top cap 14 in the closed position. The latch mechanism can be a snap or can have a latch and hook 29 wherein the hook can be such as, for example, a ledge, protrusion, snap, button, or the like, or can be at least two magnets embedded into the top cap and the housing 12 or in other embodiments the top cap 14 can be secured in the closed position by such as, for example, lever catches, hinges latches, pressure fit hinges, magnetic closure, latches, or the like. The top cap 14 or the housing 12 can have a seal 16 wherein the housing can generally be the same shape as the top cap or housing wherein when the top cap is in its closed position the top cap pushes down on the seal compression the seal between the top cap and the housing creating a watertight seal. The seal 16 can be such as, for example, an O-ring, gasket, Neoprene, Rubber, Nitrile, VITON?, Graphite, Cork, SBR, or the like. The top cap 14 can be any suitable shape or size, but in the preferred embodiment the top cap is as shown in FIG. 9.

[0034] The housing 12 can further comprise tool slot 22 wherein the tool slot can be formed or machined into the housing and can allow a tool 24 to be retractably coupled to the housing 12. The tool 24 can extend out of the housing 12 when needed and can be retracted when not in use. The tool 24 can be such as, for example, telescoping poker tool, knife, scissors, cleaning tool, or the like. The tool 24 can be coupled to a push slider 26 which can protrude through the slider slot 27 and be coupled to the tool. The user can extend and retract the tool 24 with the push slider 26. The bottom cap 30 can be such as, for example, snaped on, screwed on, or the like to the housing allowing the user to easily remove the tracker. The second end 17 can have tracker slot wherein the user can place a tracker into the slot and the bottom cap 30 can fully or partially cover the tracker. The bottom cap 30 can further capture a spacer 32 and second seal 40 allowing the user to put different size trackers in the tracker slot such as, for example, Tile?, Apple? Airtag, or the like. The housing 12, top cap 14, bottom cap 30 and tool 24 can be made of a durable, heat-resistant material, such as metal or plastic. In other embodiments, the bottom cap 30 can be omitted or integrated into the housing 12, as shown in FIG. 9, wherein the bottom cap can capture a tracker and can further comprise a bottle opener 36. The housing 10 can be designed with a seal between the lid and the housing, ensuring the lighter remains protected and secure within the case. The housing 10 can also features a bottle opener 36, adding another layer of functionality to the lighter case.
