Abstract
A spreading vehicle, e.g. universal spreader, comprises at least two spreading discs by which spreading material is thrown. The spreading discs are mounted at the rear end of the spreading vehicle and, on the top side, comprise drivers by which spreading material is captured. The spreading discs rotate with a predetermined rotational speed about their axis of rotation, and are inclined relative to the horizontal, transversely to the travelling direction of the spreading vehicle, by a predetermined non-zero angle. Between the spreading discs, at least partially, a filler piece is arranged to feed spreading material to the spreading discs. The filler piece has a center axis and extends in the direction of the centre axis along a portion having a portion length between the spreading discs. The portion length is greater than a radius of the spreading discs and in cases smaller than twice the radius of the spreading discs.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0020]
[0021] In particular, the first spreading disc 2 has an angle of inclination .sub.1 relative to the horizontal. The second spreading disc 4 has an angle of inclination .sub.2 relative to the horizontal. Between the spreading discs 2, 4 a filler piece 14 is arranged. The spreading discs 2, 4 are arranged in a spreading chamber 28.
[0022] The filler piece 14 is equipped in order to avoid that spreading material, which enters the spreading chamber 28, can unaccelerated slip through between the spreading discs 2, 4. The filler piece 14 extends as far as to an outlet side 38 of the spreading chamber 28. The spreading vehicle 100 additionally comprises at the rear end of the spreading vehicle 100 a rear-end flap 40. Further details of the spreading vehicle 100 are shown in the
[0023] The first spreading disc 2 and the first surface 18 form a common first plane E.sub.1. The second spreading disc 4 and the second surface 20 form a common second plane E.sub.2. The first surface 18 on its side facing the spreading disc 2 has an inside radius 22. The inside radius 22 substantially corresponds to an outside radius of the spreading disc 2. The second surface 20 on its side facing the second spreading disc 4 has an inside radius 22. The inside radius 22 substantially corresponds to an outside radius 24 of the second spreading disc 4.
[0024] Adjoining the surfaces 18, 20 a wall portion 26 is formed. The wall portion 26 extends, originating from the inside radius 22, substantially parallel to the axis of rotation 10 of the respective spreading disc 2, 4 to below the respective spreading disc 2, 4. The inside radius 22 of the surface 18, 20 is spaced apart from the outside radius 24 of the spreading disc 2, 4. Between the inside radius 22 and the outside radius 24, the spreading discs 2, 4 are spaced apart by a distance d in a radial direction r based on an axis of rotation 10 of the spreading discs 2, 4. The filler piece 14 has a length L along the center axis 16, which is greater than a radius r of the spreading discs 2, 4.
[0025] The spreading discs 2, 4 are at least partially received in the spreading chamber 28. The filler piece 14 comprises a first attachment portion 30. By means of the first attachment portion 30, the filler piece 14 is attached to a, in travelling direction, front limit 32 of the spreading chamber 28. The first attachment portion 30 is configured as a flat component, in particular metal sheet, arranged substantially vertically and transversely to the travelling direction 12, originating from which the surfaces 18, 20 extend.
[0026] The filler piece 14 extends in the direction of the center axis 16, originating from the first attachment portion 30, at least as far as to a position 34, in which the spreading discs 2, 4 have the least distance to one another. In the shown exemplary embodiment, the filler piece 14, originating from this position 34, extends in the direction of the center axis 16 opposite to the travelling direction 12. Further, the filler piece 14 comprises a second attachment portion 38 arranged opposite the first attachment portion 30. By means of the second attachment portion 36, the filler piece 14 is attached to an outlet side 38 of the spreading chamber 28.
