Abstract
A dual cufflink garment device including two cuffs, wherein each cuff having at least four cufflink openings, enabling a wearer to use two separate cufflinks. The cuff is designed with a first upper cufflink opening and a first lower cufflink opening positioned along one longitudinal edge, and a second upper cufflink opening and a second lower cufflink opening positioned along the opposing longitudinal edge. When the cuff is folded around the wrist, the upper cufflink openings overlap and align, and the lower cufflink openings overlap and align to create a closed loop. A first cufflink is inserted through overlapping/aligning upper cufflink openings and a second cufflink is inserted through overlapping/aligning lower cufflink openings. In one embodiment, the invention provides a method for creating the cufflink holes in the cuff.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
[0024] The innovation is now described with reference to the drawings, wherein like reference numerals are used to refer to like elements throughout. In the following description, for purposes of explanation, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding thereof. It may be evident, however, that the innovation can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, well-known structures and devices are shown in block diagram form in order to facilitate a description thereof. Various embodiments are discussed hereinafter. It should be noted that the figures are described only to facilitate the description of the embodiments. They are not intended as an exhaustive description of the invention and do not limit the scope of the invention. Additionally, an illustrated embodiment need not have all the aspects or advantages shown. Thus, in other embodiments, any of the features described herein from different embodiments may be combined.
[0025] As noted above, there exists a long felt need in the art for an improved shirt that can receive two cufflinks on each cuff. There is also a long felt need in the art for a shirt garment that has a plurality of cufflink holes that enables the application of multiple designer cufflinks. Additionally, there is a long felt need in the art for shirts, coats, jackets, and/or blazer devices that feature multiple cufflinks cuff designs. Further, there is a long felt need in the art for shirts with cuff designs that does not limit the user's ability to express themselves via cufflinks. Furthermore, there is a long felt need in the art for an improved shirt that enables users to place different types of cufflinks at the end of their shirts, coats, jackets, and/or blazer devices. Finally, there is a long felt need in the art for an improved shirt that enables users to customize the look of their garments using multiple cufflinks to accommodate a desired style or image.
[0026] The present invention, in one exemplary embodiment, is a dual cufflink garment. The garment cuff includes a cuff that has a first upper cufflink opening positioned along a longitudinal edge of the cuff and a symmetrical and opposing second upper cufflink opening positioned along an opposing longitudinal edge of the cuff, a first lower cufflink opening positioned along the longitudinal edge of the cuff and below the first upper cufflink opening and a symmetrical and opposing second lower cufflink opening positioned along the opposing longitudinal edge of the cuff and below the second upper cufflink opening, the first upper cufflink opening and the second upper cufflink opening overlap and align with each other and the first lower cufflink opening and the second lower cufflink opening overlap and align with each other upon folding the cuff by a user to cover the wrist, a first cufflink is inserted through the overlapping upper cufflink openings with the head of the first cufflink abutting the exterior surface of the cuff, a second cufflink is inserted through the overlapping lower cufflink openings, the head of the second cufflink abutting the exterior surface of the cuff.
[0027] Referring initially to the drawings,
[0028] A first cufflink can be inserted through the overlapping/aligning upper cufflink openings 106, 112 and a separate second cufflink can be inserted through the overlapping/aligning lower cufflink openings 108, 114, enabling a user to wear two separate cufflinks for adding personalization and style in the outfit. Any type of conventional cufflinks can be used with the shirt 100. The cufflink holes 106, 112, 108, 114 are preferably of same size and can be of any geometric shape for accommodating and securing different cufflinks.
[0029] In the preferred embodiment, the upper cufflink holes 106, 112 are positioned 0.35-0.50 below the sleeve connecting edge 118 and the lower cufflink holes 108, 114 are positioned 1.00-1.25 above the trail or terminal edge 120 of the cuff 104. The position and shape of the cufflink holes 106, 112, 108, 114 can be customized as per the design and manufacturing requirements of the dual cufflink holes shirt 100. It should be noted that although in the present embodiment, one sleeve 102 is shown but the shirt 100 has dual cufflink holes on both the sleeves of the improved shirt 100.
[0030]
[0031] A second cufflink 210 which can be the same or different than the first cufflink 202 is inserted through the first lower cufflink opening 108 and passes through the second lower cufflink opening 114. The head 212 of the second cufflink 210 abuts the exterior surface 206 of the cuff 104 and the fastener 214 secures the cufflink 210.
[0032] Both the first cufflink 202 and the second cufflink 210 secure the cuff 104 in a closed or deployed position as illustrated in
[0033]
[0034]
