DEVICE FOR COLMATING CORK STOPPERS

Abstract

The present invention relates to a colmating improvement device for cork stoppers, comprising at least three cylindrical shaped rotating means, able to receive a cork stopper entering in a rotational movement with a slight pressure, which stopper is inserted through an insertion tubular device assisted by two pneumatic cylinders. The device further comprises two openings, an inlet opening and an outlet opening, two electric motors/reduction gears, a worm, a chain and a tank that can contain a substance consisting of a binder and cork dust with a solid content between 50 and 100%.

8. A filling and improvement device for cork stoppers, comprising: a cylindrical shaped rotating means able to form a triangle between its rotation centres, in order to press substantially a cork stopper and promote the rotation thereof; an electric motor and reduction gear promoting the rotation of the cylindrical shaped rotation means and a chain that pulls them; and an insertion tubular device placed at the entrance of a pneumatic cylinder assisting the entry of the stoppers into the device through the inlet opening where the stoppers are pushed by the action of a piston to the area of the cylindrical shaped rotating means and subsequently leaving through the outlet opening having a diameter equal to the cork stopper diameter.

9. A filling and improvement device for cork stoppers according to claim 8, characterized in that it is able to receive cylindrical rotating means and inlet and exit openings with different lengths and diameters, depending on the diameter of the stopper to be processed.

10. A filling and improvement device for cork stoppers according to claim 8, characterized in that the cylindrical shaped rotating means are in permanent contact with a substance comprised of binder with solid content of 50% to 100% and cork dust.

11. A filling and improvement device for cork stoppers according to claim 8, characterized in that the outlet opening with a diameter equal to the cork stopper removes substance in excess that surrounds the stopper and level the same substance with the cork stopper surface.

12. A filling and improvement device for cork stoppers according to claim 8, characterized in that the mixture of the substance is continuous throughout the process provided by the action of the worm, electric motor and reduction gear assembly in contact with the tank.

13. A cork stopper obtainable by device according to claim 8, characterized in that it comprises the totality of its porosity and lenticels filled with a substance comprised of binder with a percentage of solid content in the range of 50% to 100% and cork dust.

14. A cork stopper according to claim 13, characterized in that the uniform surface is guaranteed by the mechanical filling of its porosity and lenticels.
