Woven Bottle and Vase Cover

Abstract

The present invention is a vessel with the vessel having an outer surface and an opening formed in the outer surface. A woven cover covers the vessel. The opening of the vessel is free from the woven cover. The entire outer surface of the vessel is covered by the woven cover. The woven material rests flush against the vessel.

Claims

1. In combination: a vessel, the vessel having an outer surface and an opening formed in the outer surface; and a woven cover covering the vessel; wherein the opening of the vessel is free from the woven cover.

2. The combination of claim 1 where the vessel is selected from the group consisting of bottle, vase, and decanter.

3. The combination of claim 2 wherein the bottle has a cylindrical base and a long neck.

4. The combination of claim 2 wherein the vase has a bell shape with a small circular base and wide mouth.

5. The combination of claim 2 wherein the decanter is a volute or column style.

6. The combination of claim 1 wherein the vessel is constructed from a hand blown or molded glass material.

7. The combination of claim 1 wherein the entire outer surface of the vessel is covered by the woven cover.

8. The combination of claim 1 wherein the woven cover is constructed from a tightly woven material.

9. The combination of claim 1 wherein the woven material is selected from the group consisting of twine, grass, straw, and cloth.

10. The combination of claim 1 wherein the woven material is wrapped about the outer surface of the vessel.

11. The combination of claim 10 wherein the woven material rests flush against the vessel.

12. The combination of claim 1 wherein the woven material has a pattern and various shades.

13. The combination of claim 1 wherein an inner surface of the vessel is free from the woven cover.

In combination: a vessel, the vessel having an outer surface and an opening formed in the outer surface; and a woven cover covering the vessel; wherein the opening of the vessel is free from the woven cover; wherein the entire outer surface of the vessel is covered by the woven cover; and wherein the woven material rests flush against the vessel.

15. The combination of claim 14 wherein the woven cover is constructed from a tightly woven material.

16. The combination of claim 14 wherein the woven material is wrapped about the outer surface of the vessel.

17. The combination of claim 14 wherein the woven material has a pattern and various shades.

18. The combination of claim 14 wherein an inner surface of the vessel is free from the woven cover.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0014] The present invention, hereinafter referred to as a Woven Bottle and Vase Cover, indicated generally at 10, is a line of bottle and vase covers containing decanter vessels 12 that are beautifully structured and adorned with the handcrafted weaving technique around an entire surface of a designated vessel 12. The Woven Bottle and Vase Cover 10 is artfully constructed to provide individuals with a striking decorative and functional accessory for their home.

[0015] Each bottle, vase or decanter 12 is adorned with a handcrafted, woven material 14 of the Woven Bottle and Vase Cover 10 of the present invention that covers the entire exterior of the vessel 12. The vessels 12 are comprised of a hand blown or molded glass material. The Woven Bottle and Vase Cover 10 is configured and constructed in a variety of shapes and sizes woven about bottles and vases 12 of a variety of shapes and sizes. While the bottles may be a simple style comprising a cylindrical base and long neck, the vases may be a bell shape comprising a small circular base and wide mouth, and the decanters may be in a volute or column style, any type, style, or size of the bottle, the vase, or the decanter is within the scope of the present invention.

A particularly unique weaving technique is incorporated into each piece. The surface of each vessel 12 is covered in a tightly woven material 14 such as twine, grass, straw or cloth. This woven material 14 is wrapped about the exterior of the vessel, resting flush against the glass and encompassing the surface of the vessel 14 completely. A number of patterns are incorporable into the weave and various shades of material are utilized to create a number of striking designs. The interior of the decanter vessel 12 remains free of woven material 14 and is employed in the same manner as a traditional bottle or vase.
