Abstract
An apparel retention device for reducing movement of garments on a user includes first and second tabs, which are flexible. A first fastener is coupled to a first face of the first tab. A second fastener is coupled to a first side of the second tab. The first fastener is positioned on the first tab such that the first tab is configured to couple to an inside of an outer garment, such as a skirt or a dress. The second fastener is positioned on the second tab such that the second tab is configured to couple to a surface, such as an inner garment or the skin of a user, adjacent to the first tab. The first tab is positioned to contact the second tab such that the first tab and the outer garment are retained in a substantially fixed position relative to the second tab.
Claims

An apparel retention system comprising: an inner garment; an outer garment; a first tab and a second tab, said first tab and said second tab being flexible; a first fastener coupled to a first face of said first tab; a second fastener coupled to a first side of said second tab; and wherein said first fastener is positioned on said first tab such that said first tab is coupled to an inside of said outer garment, wherein said second fastener is positioned on said second tab such that said second tab is coupled to a surface of said inner garment adjacent to said first tab, wherein said first tab is positioned to contact said second tab such that said first tab and the outer garment are retained in a substantially fixed position relative to said second tab and said inner garment.
2. The system of claim 1, further including said first tab being substantially rectangularly shaped.
3. The system of claim 1, further including said first tab being substantially ovally shaped.
4. The system of claim 3, further including said first tab being curved such that a second face of said first tab is convexly shaped.
5. (canceled)
6. The system of claim 1, further including said first tab and said second tab comprising rubber material.
7. The system of claim 1, further including said first tab and said second tab comprising silicone material.
8. The system of claim 1, further including said first fastener and said second fastener comprising adhesive.
9. The system of claim 8, further comprising: a first cover reversibly couplable to said first fastener, wherein said first cover is positioned to couple to said first fastener such that said first fastener is shielded until said first cover is decoupled from said first fastener; and a second cover reversibly couplable to said second fastener, wherein said second cover is positioned to couple to said second fastener such that said second fastener is shielded until said second cover is decoupled from said second fastener.
10. The system of claim 1, further comprising: a first coupler coupled to a second face of said first tab; a second coupler coupled to a second side of said second tab, said second coupler being complementary to said first coupler; and wherein said second coupler is positioned to couple to said first coupler such that said first tab is coupled to said second tab.
11. The system of claim 10, further including said first coupler and said second coupler comprising a nylon hook and loop fastener.
12. An apparel retention system comprising: an inner garment; an outer garment; a first tab and a second tab, said first tab and said second tab being flexible, said first tab being substantially rectangularly shaped or substantially ovally shaped, said first tab being curved such that a second face of said first tab is convexly shaped, said second tab being shaped and sized substantially complementarily to said first tab, said first tab and said second tab each comprising one material selected from a group of materials consisting of rubber material and silicone material; a first fastener coupled to a first face of said first tab; a second fastener coupled to a first side of said second tab, said first fastener and said second fastener comprising adhesive; a first cover reversibly couplable to said first fastener, wherein said first cover is positioned to couple to said first fastener such that said first fastener is shielded until said first cover is decoupled from said first fastener; a second cover reversibly couplable to said second fastener, wherein said second cover is positioned to couple to said second fastener such that said second fastener is shielded until said second cover is decoupled from said second fastener; and wherein said first fastener is positioned on said first tab such that said first tab is coupled to an inside of said outer garment, wherein said second fastener is positioned on said second tab such that said second tab is coupled to a surface of said inner garment, adjacent to said first tab, wherein said first tab is positioned to contact said second tab such that said first tab and the outer garment are retained in a substantially fixed position relative to said second tab and said inner garment.
13. The system of claim 12, further comprising: a first coupler coupled to said second face of said first tab; a second coupler coupled to a second side of said second tab, said second coupler being complementary to said first coupler, wherein said second coupler is positioned to couple to said first coupler such that said first tab is coupled to said second tab; and said first coupler and said second coupler comprising a nylon hook and loop fastener.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0016] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
[0017] As best illustrated in
[0018] In one embodiment, the first tab 12 and the second tab 14 comprise rubber. In another embodiment, the first tab 12 and the second tab 14 comprise silicone.
[0019] A first fastener 18 is coupled to a first face 20 of the first tab 12. A second fastener 22 is coupled to a first side 24 of the second tab 14. The first fastener 18 and the second fastener 22 comprise adhesive.
[0020] A first cover 26 is reversibly couplable to the first fastener 18. The first cover 26 is positioned to couple to the first fastener 18 such that the first fastener 18 is shielded until the first cover 26 is decoupled from the first fastener 18. A second cover 28 is reversibly couplable to the second fastener 22. The second cover 28 is positioned to couple to the second fastener 22 such that the second fastener 22 is shielded until the second cover 28 is decoupled from the second fastener 22.
[0021] In one embodiment, a first coupler 30 is coupled to the second face 16 of the first tab 12. A second coupler 32 is coupled to a second side 34 of the second tab 14. The second coupler 32 is complementary to the first coupler 30. The second coupler 32 is positioned to couple to the first coupler 30 such that the first tab 12 is coupled to the second tab 14. In another embodiment, the first coupler 30 and the second coupler 32 comprise a nylon hook and loop fastener 36.
