    Abstract

    An article that covers the front face of a snowboard boot, and straps to the boot securely. The article will attach to the forward face/front of an individual's back snowboard boot when an individual is snowboarding to protect the boot and laces from damage. It will utilize one attachment that will tighten and hold the article to the boot. The attachment will wrap around the back of the ankle area of the boot. The article will extend from the front of the ankle area to the toe area, extending from the inner side of the boot to the outer side. Graphic artwork, symbols, logos, brands, words, phrases, advertisements, and other decoration may adorn the front outwardly facing material of the article.

    Claims

    1. The article will protect the forward face of the back snowboard boot while individual is engaged in snowboarding activity. Specifically protecting the toe area and laces of the snowboard boot. The article will cover the forward face of the snowboard boot, and will be attached to the snowboard boot an attachment. The primary attachment will be located at the top end of the article.

    2. The article according to claim 1, wherein said article covers the forward face of the boot.

    3. The article according to claim 1, wherein said article protect top, nose, and laces of boot.

    4. The article according to claim 1, wherein said article is attached to forward face of boot by attachment located primarily at the top end of said article.

    5. The article according to claim 1, wherein said article is uniform in width for the majority of the length from top end to bottom end.

    6. The article according to claim 1, wherein said article will contour the forward face of the boot.

    7. The article according to claim 1, wherein said article may have adornments located on the outward face.

    8. The article according to claim 4, wherein said attachment located at the top end of the article will attach to the ankle area of the boot.

    9. The article according to claim 4, wherein said attachment at the top end of article and said article will be fashioned into one physical item.

    10. The article according to claim 8, wherein said attachment will be adjustable to tighten and loosen attachment to ankle area of boot.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

    [0012] FIG. 1 is a perspective of the view of the outside face of the article, and illustrates how the article 2 is applied to a snowboard boot 1. The article 2 covers and therefore protects the tip, toe, and laces of the snow board boot 1. The article 2 will contour with the snow board boot 1, and will be secured to the snow board boot 1 by an attachment at the top end to the article 3. The attachment at the top end of the article 3 will wrap and be secured around the ankle areas to the snow board boot 1. The top end attachment 3 will open to insert the snow board boot, and will close to secure the article to the boot. This said attachment will be adjustable to tighten the article to the various snowboard boots 1.

    [0013] FIG. 2 is a front view or forward face of the article 2 where it is secured to a snowboard boot 1. The article 2 covers and protects the toe, top, and laces of the snowboard boot 1. When the article 2 is secured to the snowboard boot 1, it guards the said area from the inside of the boot to the outside of the boot as shown in the drawing. The attachment of the article 2 occurs at the top of the said article at attachment 3.

    [0014] FIG. 3 is an inside facing view of the article 2 secured to a snowboard boot 1. This illustration shows the attachment 3 is shown wrapping and attaching at the ankle area of the snowboard boot 1. The top end attachment 3 will open and close to insert the snowboard boot 1, and will also be adjustable via the closing mechanism 4.

    [0015] Of course, and as explained hereinabove, the present invention is not limited to the embodiment described. Thus, the article can be fixed in a removable manner, and can be provided to be interchangeable with a cover of different rigidity for an adaptation to a different user. The method of attaching the article to the snowboard boot can also be obtained differently.

There are many different patents regarding shoe coverings in various forms, motorcycle boot protectors, lace protectors, boot protectors for carpet installers, though, none created is this manner, for this use, nor designed to solve this unique problem.
