Abstract

The present invention is a tail comb that features a retractable tail and a toggle on the spine, allowing one-handed operation. The retractable tail allows for easier hair manipulation and can be securely stored inside the handle when not in use. This enables easy storage and transportation, making it ideal for use at home or on the go, and eliminating the need for a separate storage compartment or case. By extending the tail, the toggle is pushed to the bottom of the spine, enabling easier sectioning and parting of the hair. When the toggle slides to the top, the tail retracts and safely stores inside the handle, preventing injuries, tangles, or breakage of the comb. The toggle mechanism is user-friendly and suitable for professional hairstylists and everyday users. 1. A tail comb comprising: 1. The Comb Bristles adjacent to the spine. 2. The Spine of the Comb. 3. The Tail Hollow Chamber (Inside of the Spine). 4. The Retractable Tail inside of the spine's hollow chamber. 5. The Sliding Toggle (which controls the retractability of the tail). 6. The Latch Lock, also located on the spine of the comb, locks the tail in the extended or retracted position.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0011] The present invention is a tail comb that combines the functionality of a traditional tail comb with the convenience of a retractable tail and a toggle on the spine. The comb is composed of several key components, including a spine, a row of teeth or comb bristles, a retractable tail, a sliding toggle positioned on the spine, and a secure latch lock mechanism. Within the spine lies a hollow chamber that serves as the housing for the retractable tail, allowing it to seamlessly retract and extend as needed. This retractable tail (FIG. 4) positioned opposite the comb bristles (FIG. 1), can be effortlessly maneuvered using the sliding toggle mechanism.
