TABLE-US-00002 TABLE 2 B Hydrogen peroxide 6.00 Cetearyl alcohol 2.28 Ceteareth-25 0.57 Tetrasodium etidronate 0.06 Tetrasodium pyrophosphate 0.04 Sodium salicylate 0.035 Glycerol 0.5 Trideceth-2 carboxamide MEA 0.85 Phosphoric acid qs pH 2.2 Water qs 100
Dyeing Protocol
[0387] The dye compositions A and C are each mixed with the oxidizing composition B in a 1+1 weight ratio.
[0388] Each of the mixtures is applied to locks of permanent-waved hair containing 90% white hairs, at a rate of 5 g of mixture per 1 g of hair.
[0389] After a leave-on time of 35 minutes on a hotplate at 27 C., the hair is rinsed, washed with a standard shampoo and dried.
Results
[0390] The coloring of the hair is evaluated in the L*a*b* system, using a Konica Minolta CM-3600A spectrocolorimeter (illuminant D65, angle 10, specular component included) in the CIELab system.
[0391] In this system, L* represents the lightness. The lower the value of L*, the darker and more powerful the coloring obtained.
[0392] The results are shown in the table below:
TABLE-US-00003 TABLE 3 L* A + B (invention) 20.2 C + B (comparative) 23.0
[0393] Composition A according to the invention leads to a lower L* value, and thus to better power of the color, relative to the comparative composition C.
Example 2
Dye Composition

Oxidizing Composition Oxidizing composition B1 is an aqueous solution comprising 6% of hydrogen peroxide.
Dyeing Protocol
[0395] The dyeing compositions A1 and C1 are each mixed with the oxidizing composition B1 in a 1+1 weight ratio.
[0396] Each of the mixtures is applied to locks of natural hair containing 90% of grey hair (NG) and to locks of permanent-waved hair containing 90% of grey hair (PG) in a proportion of 5 g of mixture per 1 g of hair.
[0397] After a leave-on time of 30 minutes at 25 C., the hair is rinsed, washed with a standard shampoo and dried.
Results
[0398] The colouring of the hair is evaluated in the L*a*b* system, using a Konica Minolta CM-3600A spectrocolorimeter (illuminant D65, angle 10, specular component included) in the CIELab system.
[0399] In this system, L* represents the lightness. The lower the value of L*, the darker and more powerful the colouring obtained. The selectivity is represented by the color difference E between the natural colored locks (NG) and the permed colored locks (PG). The lower the value of E, the lower the selectivity, therefore the better.
[0400] The results are indicated in the table below:
TABLE-US-00005 TABLE 5 L* a* b* E A1 + B1 (invention) NG 37.01 0.79 8.9 6.29 PG 36.94 0.83 14.98 C1 + B1 (comparative) NG 47.02 1.66 7.4 9.69 PG 39.96 1.43 13.28
[0401] Composition A1 according to the invention leads to a lower value of L*, and thus to better strength of the colour, compared to comparative composition C1.
[0402] Composition A1 according to the invention also leads to a lower value of E, therefore to better selectivity, compared to comparative composition C1.
Example 3
Dye Composition
[0403] Composition A2 according to the present invention was prepared using the ingredients of which the contents are indicated in the table below:
TABLE-US-00006 TABLE 6 A2 (invention) HYDROXYPROPYL-P-PHENYLENEDIAMINE 6.6 mmol 2-AMINO-4-HYDROXYETHYLAMINOANISOLE 6.6 mmol SULFATE PROPYLENE GLYCOL 10.00 ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL 10.00 OLEYL ALCOHOL 6.00 CETEARYL ALCOHOL 9.00 COCO-BETAINE 0.75 SODIUM C14-C16 OLEFIN SULFONATE 9.00 DECETH-3 8.10 PEG/PPG-4/12 DIMETHICONE 1.50 ETHANOLAMINE 8.20 SODIUM SULFITE 1.00 EDTA 0.06 TETRASODIUM EDTA 0.02 SODIUM CHLORIDE 0.16 eau Qs 100 pH 11.1 0.2
[0404] Dyeing composition A2 is mixed with the oxidizing composition B1 in a 1+1 weight ratio.
[0405] The mixture is applied to locks of natural hair containing 90% of grey hair in a proportion of 5 g of mixture per 1 g of hair.
[0406] After a leave-on time of 30 minutes at 25 C., the hair is rinsed, washed with a standard shampoo and dried.
[0407] It can be seen that the fibers treated with the A2+B1 mixture according to the invention have an intense dark blue color, homogeneous from the root to the tip.
