Description

[0013] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to several embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings. It is shown in:

[0014] FIGS. 1A and 1B two views of a shelf according to the invention in a first embodiment;

[0015] FIGS. 2A and 2B two views of a shelf in a second embodiment;

[0016] FIG. 3 a node element of the shelf in FIG. 2;

[0017] FIG. 4 a view of the node element of FIG. 3 with a shelf floor;

[0018] FIG. 5 a perspective view of a centre node element of the shelves of FIG. 1 or 2;

[0019] FIGS. 6A and 6B two views of the assembly of a shelf floor on the node element of FIG. 5;

[0020] FIGS. 7A and 7B two views of a node element of the shelf of FIG. 1, and

[0021] FIGS. 8A and 8B two views of the node element in FIG. 7 with the shelf floor mounted.

[0022] A shelf 1 includes one or more shelf posts 2, and a plurality of shelf floors 3 are supported on the at least one shelf post 2. In the embodiment example shown, the shelf floors 3 are formed rectangularly in plan view, in particular square, with an angularly arranged rear wall 4 being provided on two sides of the shelf floors 3, while openings to the shelf floors 3 are provided on two sides. The shelf post 2 is arranged between the openings. If the shelf 1 is used in a piece of furniture in which the shelf 1 is moved by a combined rotation-translation fitting from a position in which the shelf floors 3 are concealed by walls to a setting in which the shelf floors 3 are accessible, this fitting would be arranged on the top side of the uppermost shelf 3 and/or on the bottom side of the lowermost shelf 3.

[0023] FIG. 1B shows the structure of the shelf 1, in which the rear walls 4 on the shelf floors 3 are each covered by a cover plate 5. In this shelf 1, only a single shelf post 2 is provided, which includes several post profiles 6, which are connected to each other by central node elements 8, with node elements 7 being fixed to the ends of the post profiles 6. Cover strips 9 are also provided on the lowest shelf floor 3 and the uppermost shelf floor 3. Instead of just one shelf post 2, the shelf 1 can also comprise two, three, four or more shelf posts 2, to which the shelf floors 3 are then held.

[0024] FIGS. 2A and 2B show a modified shelf 1 in which four shelf posts 2 are provided to which shelf floors 3 are fixed. Each shelf post 2 comprises post profiles 6, which are connected to each other via centre node elements 8. In addition, node elements 10 are fixed to the ends of the post profiles 6.

[0025] FIG. 3 shows a node element 10 comprising a receptable 11 for a corner of a shelf floor 3. The receptable 11 has a floor 12 and a top side 13, which are connected to each other via angled side walls 15 and 16. The wall thickness of the floor and the ceiling and of the side walls 15 and 16 is preferably in a range between 0.5 mm and 10 mm, in particular 1.5 mm and 5 mm, so that the side walls 15 and 16 protrude only slightly beyond the corner of the shelf floor 3.

[0026] An opening 14 for mounting an adjustment element, in particular a screw, is recessed on the top side 13. A pin 17 is arranged on the floor 12, on which one or more connection points 18 are provided. The connection points 18 can be formed as openings for fastening means, clamping elements, such as nubs or projections. The pin 17 is inserted into a hollow chamber of a post profile 6, and the connection points 18 can provide additional strength for the connection. The receptable 11 and the pin 17 are formed in one piece with the node element 10 and are advantageously designed so that the shelf floor 3 does not need to be machined. This simplifies the assembly of the shelf 1.

[0027] FIG. 4 shows the node element 10 in an assembled position. The adjustment element 19 in the shape of a screw is inserted into the top side 13 and ensures that the shelf floor 3, which is formed from a wood material, is clamped in place.

[0028] FIG. 5 shows a node element 8 arranged between two post profiles 6. The node element 8 includes a receptable 20 into which a corner of a shelf floor 3 can be inserted. The receptable 20 includes a floor 22, a top side 21 and two angle-shaped arranged side walls 28 and 29. A support 23 is provided on the floor 22 as an extension, which projects horizontally beyond the contour of the top side 21. An opening 27 for an adjustment element is provided on this support 23 so that it can be mounted at a distance from the post profiles 6.

[0029] A downwardly projecting pin 25 is provided on the floor 22 and an upwardly projecting pin 24 is provided on the top side 21. The pins 24 and 25 each comprise one or more connection points 26, which are formed as a clamping body, opening or other element for fixing to the post profile 6. The receptable 20 and the pins 24, 25 are formed in one piece with the node element 8 and are advantageously designed so that the shelf floor 3 does not need to be machined. This simplifies the assembly of the shelf 1, 1.

[0030] FIG. 6A shows the node element 8 during assembly. A shelf floor 3 is inserted with a corner into the receptable 20, whereby two end faces of the shelf floor 3 can be placed against the side walls 28 and 29. After inserting the shelf floor 3, an adjustment element 30, which is formed as a screw, is then screwed into the shelf floor 3 from below through the opening 27 in the support 23 in order to clamp it in place. FIG. 6B shows the assembled state of the shelf floor 3 in the node element 8.

[0031] FIGS. 7A and 7B show a modified node element 7 comprising a receptable 31 which includes a floor 32, a top side 33 and two angularly arranged side walls 34 and 35 and is suitable for receiving a corner of a shelf floor 3. An opening 36 for mounting an adjustment element 40 is provided in the top side 33. Furthermore, upwardly projecting wall elements 39 are arranged on the top side 33, which can be connected to the cover strips 9, so that a shelf floor 3 with the cover strips 9 and the wall elements 39 is designed in the shape of a shell.

[0032] A pin 37 with one or more connection points 38 is provided on the floor 32, which serve to fix the pin 37 in a post profile 6. The receptable 31, the pin 37 and the wall 39 are formed in one piece with the node element 10 and are advantageously designed so that the shelf floor 3 does not have to be machined. This simplifies the assembly of the shelf 1, 1.

[0033] The adjustment element 40 includes a screw with a threaded section 41, which engages in a sleeve-shaped clamping element 42 that can be placed with a contact surface 43 against a top side or bottom side of a shelf floor 3.

[0034] FIGS. 8A and 8B show the assembled position of the node element 7. One corner of the shelf floor 3 is inserted into receptable 31 and clamped there by adjustment element 40. The adjustment element 40 presses the clamping element 42 with the contact surface 43 against the top side of the shelf floor 3, so that it is held clamped on the node element 7.

[0035] In the embodiment example shown, the shelf post 2 can be designed so that the post profiles 6 are aligned flush with the side walls 15, 16, 28, 29, 34, 35 on the outside, so that there are no steps on the shelf post 2. The node elements 7, 8 and 10 can be made of metal or plastic or combinations of different materials. The post profiles 6 can also be made of metal or plastic and preferably have a hollow chamber into which the pins 17, 24, 25 and 37 can be inserted.

[0036] The shelf floors 3 can be inserted in different thicknesses into the receptables 11, 20, 31 of the node elements 7, 8 and 10. The shelf floors 3 can also be made of other materials, such as plastic, metal or glass, instead of a wood material.
