Abstract
The present invention provides a modular cable-based resistance workout device that can be used in different types of indoor and outdoor settings such as platform mountings, wall tracks, doors, trees, poles, or benches or chairs. The workout device includes a left spring plate assembly, a right spring plate assembly, a mainframe, a shaft, a cable reel, and a platform, or a wall mounted track or ratchet straps. The each of the spring plate assembly includes a permanent resistance assembly and a plurality of variable resistance assemblies. Each of the variable resistance assemblies comprises a secondary recoil spring that is selectively engageable with the shaft. The permanent resistance assembly alone or along with the selectively engageable plurality of variable resistance assemblies resist unwinding of the cable from the cable reel upon application of pull force on the cable.
