Abstract
A decorative piece of jewelry is an earring which includes strips of hair. The strips of hair may comprise synthetic or real hair affixed to a metal hoop, clamp, or the like. A portion of the strip of hair overlaps the earring and is affixed thereto such that it may be worn either on the front or back of the ear in a desired manner.
Claims
1. An ornament comprising: an adjustable hinged ring having a first end which terminates in a threaded opening and a second flattened end, a formed loop arranged substantially near the second flattened end; an elongated threaded member having a first end having a grip for seizing said elongated threaded member to extend or retract the elongated threaded member within the threaded opening, a second end of the elongated threaded member being flattened such that a portion of a wearer's body part may be pinched between the second flattened end of the hinged ring and the flattened end of the elongated threaded member; and a flexible member extending from the formed loop of the hinged ring to terminate in a cap to which hair is attached.
2. An ornament comprising: a two-position ring having a first free end which may be passed into a pierced opening; a second end comprising a j-hook and which is formed as a catch to receive said first free end; a strip of hair having an upper end secured to the j-hook substantially near the second end.
3. The ornament of claim 2 wherein said strip of hair is secured to the j-hook via a flexible member.
4. The ornament of claim 2 wherein the upper end of the hair extends upward to cover the two-position ring.
5. An ornament comprising: a clamping ring which includes a first bent end that comprises a bulbous portion which communicates with a second end when in a closed position said clamping ring comprising a hinge provided between the first bent end and the second end that allows the clamping ring to be opened and closed, a circular ring provided substantially near the second end; and, a strip of hair attached to the circular ring.
