Abstract
A clamping bushing which, due to the particular eccentric geometry and composite materials used to manufacture the same, comprising elastomers (14, 15) and metal sheets (10, 11), is suitable for the reduction of principally vertically acting vibrations and structure-borne sound which can arise in machines/gearboxes and, in particular, in wind turbines.

21. An eccentric clamping bushing having an eccentric geometry in a tensioned state and which supports a bushing axle that defines a central axis, the clamping bushing comprising: upper and lower shells which are arcuate and have ends that abut each other to form a bushing body, and in a cross sectional view of the bushing body, the bushing body has an oval-shaped outer contour, and is aligned along a vertical axis and a horizontal axis; each of the upper and the lower shells comprising, with respect to the central axis, a radially outer metal sheet and a radially inner metal sheet, and ends of the inner and the outer metal sheets of the upper shell abut respective ends of the inner and the outer metal sheets of the lower shell; in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, the inner metal sheets of the upper and the lower shells each have a semi-circular contour and form a circular cavity when the ends of the inner metal sheet of the upper shell abuts the respective ends of the inner metal sheet of the lower shell, the bushing axle is received within the cavity and mates with the inner metal sheets of the upper and the lower shells; each of the upper and the lower shells comprises two arcuate lateral layer segments and an arcuate central layer segment, the two lateral layer segments and the central layer segment are arranged in the respective upper and the lower shells such that, in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, the central layer segment is aligned along the vertical axis and between the two lateral layer segments; the two lateral layer segments of each of the upper and the lower shells comprises a plurality of elastomer layers and at least one intermediate metal sheet which, in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, are radially, alternately layered such that the at least one intermediate metal sheet of the respective two lateral layer segments is radially layered between the plurality of elastomer layers of the respective two lateral layer segments; the central layer segment of each of the upper and the lower shells comprises a plurality of layers including arcuate elastomer layers, and at least one intermediate metal sheet which, in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, are radially, alternately layered with each other; in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, the bushing body has a vertical outer dimension, that is delineated along the vertical axis from a top of the upper shell to a bottom of the lower shell, and a transverse outer dimension, that is delineated along the horizontal axis from an exterior left side of the bushing body to an exterior right side of the bushing body, and the vertical outer dimension is greater than the transverse outer dimension; and in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, the bushing body has a vertical thickness that is delineated along the vertical axis between the outer and the inner metal sheets of the respective upper and the lower shells, and a lateral thickness that is delineated along the horizontal axis between the outer and the inner metal sheets of the respective upper and the lower shells, and the vertical thickness is greater than the lateral thickness, in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, the bushing body has the oval-shaped contour in both the tensioned state and an un-tensioned state.
22. The clamping bushing according to claim 21, wherein all of the plurality of layers of the central layer segment are elastomer layers.
23. The clamping bushing according to claim 21, wherein the central layer segment has at least one empty layer.
24. The clamping bushing according to claim 23, wherein the elastomer layers and the at least one empty layer are alternately arranged in the central layer segments of the upper and the lower shells.
25. The clamping bushing according to claim 21, wherein the lateral and the central layer segments are separated from one another, in a region of the elastomer layers, by separating line windows in each of the upper and the lower shells.
26. The clamping bushing according to claim 21, wherein, in each of the upper and the lower shells, the number of elastomer layers and the intermediate metal sheets of the lateral segments, individually, is less than a respective number of the elastomer layers and the intermediate metal sheets of the central layer segment.
27. The clamping bushing according to claim 21, wherein, in the upper and the lower shells, the elastomer layers in the lateral segments have a greater Shore hardness than in the central layer segment.
28. The clamping bushing according to claims 21,wherein, in the upper and the lower shells, lateral ends of the upper and the lower shells have an elastomeric separating layer which constantly occupies space between the outer metal sheet and the inner metal sheet.
29. The clamping bushing according to claim 21, wherein, in the upper and the lower shells, the elastomer layers of the lateral layer segments are curved, in a concave manner, at ends thereof facing a separation plane of the upper and the lower shells.
30. The clamping bushing according to claim 21, wherein each of the upper and the lower shells has at least one continuous intermediate metal sheet connecting the two lateral layer segments and the central layer segment with one another.
31. The clamping bushing according to claim 21, wherein, in each of the upper and the lower shells, the central layer segment has three elastomer layers and two intermediate metal sheets and each of the lateral layer segments has two elastomer layers and one intermediate metal sheet.
32. The clamping bushing according to claim 21, wherein, in each of the upper and the lower shells, the central layer segment has four elastomer layers and three intermediate metal sheets and each of the lateral segments has two elastomer layers and one intermediate metal sheet.
33. The clamping bushing according to claim 32, wherein, in each of the upper and the lower shells, one of the three intermediate metal sheets of the central layer segments and the intermediate metal sheet of the lateral segments is a continuous intermediate metal sheet connecting the two lateral layer segments and the central layer segment with one another.

An eccentric clamping bushing having an eccentric geometry in a tensioned state and which supports a bushing axle that defines a central axis, the clamping bushing comprising: upper and lower shells which are arcuate and have ends that abut each other to form a bushing body, and in a cross sectional view of the bushing body, the bushing body has an oval-shaped outer contour, and is aligned along a vertical axis and a horizontal axis; each of the upper and the lower shells comprising, with respect to the central axis, a radially outer metal sheet and a radially inner metal sheet, and ends of the inner and the outer metal sheets of the upper shell abut respective ends of the inner and the outer metal sheets of the lower shell; in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, the inner metal sheets of the upper and the lower shells each have a semi-circular contour and form a circular cavity when the ends of the inner metal sheet of the upper shell abuts the respective ends of the inner metal sheet of the lower shell, the bushing axle is received within the cavity and mates with the inner metal sheets of the upper and the lower shells; each of the upper and the lower shells comprises two arcuate lateral layer segments and an arcuate central layer segment, the two lateral layer segments and the central layer segment are arranged in the respective upper and the lower shells such that, in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, the central layer segment is aligned along the vertical axis and between the two lateral layer segments; the two lateral layer segments of each of the upper and the lower shells comprise at least two elastomer layers and at least one intermediate metal sheet which, in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, are radially, alternately layered such that the at least one intermediate metal sheet of the respective two lateral layer segments is radially layered between the at least two elastomer layers of the respective two lateral layer segments; the central layer segment of each of the upper and the lower shells comprises at least first, second and third arcuate elastomer layers, and a plurality of intermediate metal sheets which, in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, are radially, alternately layered with each other, the first elastomer layer has an arc length that is greater than a radial thickness of the first elastomer layer; in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, the bushing body has a vertical outer dimension, that is delineated along the vertical axis from a top of the upper shell to a bottom of the lower shell, and a transverse outer dimension, that is delineated along the horizontal axis from an exterior left side of the bushing body to an exterior right side of the bushing body, the vertical outer dimension is greater than the transverse outer dimension, and, in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, a distance along the horizontal axis from the central axis to the outer metal sheets of the upper and the lower shells is smaller than a distance along the vertical axis from the central axis to the outer metal sheets of the upper and the lower half-shell elements; and in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, the central layer segments of the upper and the lower shells, respectively, have a vertical thickness that is delineated along the vertical axis between the outer and the inner metal sheets thereof, and each of the two lateral layer segments of the upper and the lower shells has a lateral thickness that is delineated along the horizontal axis between the outer and the inner metal sheets thereof, and the vertical thickness of the central layer segments of the upper and the lower shells is greater than the lateral thickness of the two lateral layer segments of the upper and the lower shells, such that, in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, the bushing body has the oval-shaped contour in both the tensioned state and an un-tensioned state.
35. The clamping bushing according to claim 34, wherein, in each of the upper and the lower shells, the lateral and the central layer segments are separated from one another, in a region of the elastomer layers, by separating line windows.
36. The clamping bushing according to claims 34,wherein lateral ends of the upper and the lower shells have an elastomeric separating layer which constantly occupies space between the outer metal sheet and the inner metal sheet.
37. The clamping bushing according to claim 34, wherein each of the upper and the lower shells has at least one continuous intermediate metal sheet connecting all of the lateral and the central layer segments with one another.
38. An eccentric clamping bushing having an eccentric geometry in a tensioned state and which supports a bushing axle that defines a central axis, the clamping bushing comprising: upper and lower shells which are arcuate and have ends that abut each other to form a bushing body, and in a cross sectional view of the bushing body, the bushing body has an oval-shaped outer contour, and is aligned along a vertical axis and a horizontal axis; each of the upper and the lower shells comprising, with respect to the central axis, a radially outer metal sheet and a radially inner metal sheet, and ends of the inner and the outer metal sheets of the upper shell abut respective ends of the inner and the outer metal sheets of the lower shell; in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, the inner metal sheets of the upper and the lower shells each have a semi-circular contour and form a circular cavity when the ends of the inner metal sheet of the upper shell abut the respective ends of the inner metal sheet of the lower shell, the bushing axle is received within the cavity and mates with the inner metal sheets of the upper and the lower shells; each of the upper and the lower shells comprises two arcuate lateral layer segments and an arcuate central layer segment, the two lateral layer segments and the central layer segment are arranged in the respective upper and the lower shells such that, in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, the central layer segment is aligned along the vertical axis and between the two lateral layer segments; each of the two lateral layer segments of the upper and the lower shells comprise two elastomer layers and one intermediate metal sheet which, in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, are radially, alternately layered such that the intermediate metal sheet of the respective two lateral layer segments is radially layered between the two elastomer layers of the respective two lateral layer segments; the central layer segment of each of the upper and the lower shells comprises at least first, second and third arcuate elastomer layers, and at least two intermediate metal sheets which, in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, are radially, alternately layered with each other, the first elastomer layer has an arc length that is greater than a radial thickness of the first elastomer layer; in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, the bushing body has a vertical outer dimension, that is delineated along the vertical axis from a top of the upper shell to a bottom of the lower shell, and a transverse outer dimension, that is delineated along the horizontal axis from an exterior left side of the bushing body to an exterior right side of the bushing body, a ratio of the vertical outer dimension to the transverse outer dimension is 1.2 to 1.5, and, in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, a distance along the horizontal axis from the central axis to the outer metal sheets of the upper and the lower shells is smaller than a distance along the vertical axis from the central axis to the outer metal sheets of the upper and the lower shells; and in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, the central layer segments of the upper and the lower shells, respectively, have a vertical thickness that is delineated along the vertical axis between the outer and the inner metal sheets thereof, and each of the two lateral layer segments of the upper and the lower shells has a lateral thickness that is delineated along the horizontal axis between the outer and the inner metal sheets thereof, and a ratio of the vertical thickness to the lateral thickness is 1.5 to 2.5, such that, in the cross sectional view of the bushing body, the bushing body has the oval-shaped contour in both the tensioned state and an un-tensioned state.
39. The clamping bushing according to claim 38, wherein, in each of the upper and the lower shells, the central layer segment is spaced from the lateral layer segments by separating windows.

The clamping bushing according to claim 38, wherein each of the first, the second and the third elastomer layers of the central layer segment of the upper and the lower shells has opposite ends that are spaced from ends of the elastomer layers of the lateral layer segments by separating windows.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS
[0025] In a first aspect of the invention, the eccentric bushings according to the invention haveprovided that they are usually installed verticallylayer segments (23) arranged in the horizontal or lateral direction comprising elastomers and metal sheets, which have less damping in their overall effect than layer segments (24) which are arranged in the vertical or longitudinal direction and which are specifically responsible for vibration damping in this direction. It is thus achieved that the bushing experiences desired, significantly less damping in its horizontal extension than in the vertical direction. This effect thus arises if the total mass of the elastomer layers in the vertical direction is greater than that in the horizontal direction. However, the effect can also be achieved if, instead of more elastomer layers or mass, corresponding soft layers without elastomer (so-called empty layers) or layers comprising softer elastomers are provided in the vertical direction. The corresponding geometry of the bushings according to the invention, which is also eccentric in the tensioned state, supports this effect.
