NOVEL CONNECTING GOLF TEE

Abstract

Due to the storage and organizational limitations of currently available golf tees, the herein described Novel Connecting Golf Tee has been developed. The Novel Connecting Golf Tee is comprised of a novel head shape, which accepts the shaft of another tee for easy connection and storage of multiple tees, even multiple tees of different sizes. This novel design allows a golfer to carry multiple tees connected together for easy retrieval from a golf bag compartment or pocket. This novel design allows a golfer to pre-select tees to be connected together in bunches wherein tees of different sizes can be chosen and connected prior to a round of golf to obviate the frustration of sorting through loose tees to find one of the appropriate length for the particular club being used.

Claims

1. A Novel Connecting Golf Tee comprising an upper end head portion, connected to a middle shaft portion, which terminates into a lower pointed portion; wherein Said upper end head portion is further comprised of a space, which accommodates a middle shaft portion of another Novel Connecting Golf Tee.

2. The Novel Connecting Golf Tee of claim 1, wherein said upper end head portion is further comprised of a top surface.

3. The Novel Connecting Golf Tee of claim 2, wherein said top surface is generally comprised of a central portion from which a plurality of arms extend radially away and upward.

4. The Novel Connecting Golf Tee of claim 3, wherein said top surface is generally in a concave curvature.

5. The Novel Connecting Golf Tee of claim 3, wherein said upper end head portion is further comprised of a plurality of spaces between said plurality of arms.

6. The Novel Connecting Golf Tee of claim 5, wherein said plurality of spaces are formed by an interior border of said arms connecting with a border of said central portion.

7. The Novel Connecting Golf Tee of claim 6, wherein the shape of said plurality of spaces correspond to the shape of said middle shaft portion diameter.

The Novel Connecting Golf Tee of claim 1, wherein said Novel Connecting Golf Tee is connected to a second Novel Connecting Golf Tee by simultaneously snapping said middle shaft portion of said Novel Connecting Golf Tee into said space of a second Novel Connecting Golf Tee and the shaft portion of said second Novel Connecting Golf Tee into the space of said Novel Connecting Golf Tee.

The Novel Connecting Golf Tee of claim 7, wherein said Novel Connecting Golf Tee is connected to a second Novel Connecting Golf Tee by simultaneously snapping said middle shaft portion of said Novel Connecting Golf Tee into said space of said second Novel Connecting Golf Tee and the middle shaft portion of said second Novel Connecting Golf Tee into the space of said Novel Connecting Golf Tee.

The Novel Connecting Golf Tee of claim 1, wherein said Novel Connecting Golf Tee is connected to a second Novel Connecting Golf Tee by simultaneously sliding said middle shaft portion of said Novel Connecting Golf Tee into said space of said second Novel Connecting Golf Tee and the shaft portion of said second Novel Connecting Golf Tee into the space of said Novel Connecting Golf Tee.

The Novel Connecting Golf Tee of claim 7, wherein said Novel Connecting Golf Tee is connected to a second Novel Connecting Golf Tee by simultaneously sliding said middle shaft portion of said Novel Connecting Golf Tee into said space of said second Novel Connecting Golf Tee and the middle shaft portion of said second Novel Connecting Golf Tee into the space of said Novel Connecting Golf Tee.

12. The Novel Connecting Golf Tee of claim 1, wherein said space is further defined by opposing inward facing retaining ridges disposed upon the perimeter of said upper end head portion.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0019] With reference to the drawings, the preferred embodiment of the subject Novel Connecting Golf Tee 100, is illustrated. The Novel Connecting Golf Tee is comprised of an upper end head portion 110, connected to a middle shaft portion 120, which terminates into a lower pointed portion 130.

[0020] In its most basic form said upper end head portion 110 is comprised of a recessed space 114, which corresponds to the shape of said shaft portion 120 diameter 121 of said Novel Connecting Golf Tec 100. As such, said space 114 may accommodate a shaft portion 120 of another Novel Connecting Golf Tee 100 by snapping or sliding said shaft portion 120 of a first Novel Connecting Golf Tee 100 into said space 214 of a second Novel Connecting Golf Tee 200 and the shaft portion 220 of said second Novel Connecting Golf Tee 200 into the space 114 of said first Novel Connecting Golf Tec 100 as shown in FIG. 6.

[0021] In the preferred embodiment, said upper end head portion 110 is further comprised of a top surface 111, upon which a golf ball is placed when the Novel Connecting Golf Tec 100 is in use. Said top surface 111 is generally comprised of a central portion 112 from which a plurality of arms 113 extend radially away and upward in a concave curvature. Said plurality of arms 113 function to stabilize the golf ball when placed on the Novel Connecting Golf Tee 100. In the preferred embodiment, said upper end head portion 110 is comprised of a plurality of recessed spaces 114 between said plurality of arms 113. Said spaces 114 are formed by an interior border 115 of said arms 113 connecting with a border 116 of said central portion 112. The shape of said spaces 114 correspond to the shape of said shaft portion 120 diameter 121 of said Novel Connecting Golf Tec 100. As such, said spaces 114 may accommodate a shaft portion 120 of another Novel Connecting Golf Tee 100. By snapping or sliding said shaft portion 120 of a first Novel Connecting Golf Tee 100 into said space 214 of a second Novel Connecting Golf Tee 200 and the shaft portion 220 of said second Novel Connecting Golf Tec 200 into the space 114 of said first Novel Connecting Golf Tee 100 as shown in FIGS. 6-8. To securely retain said shaft portions 120 and 220, said space 114 may be further defined by opposing inward facing retaining ridges 117 disposed upon the perimeter of said end head portion 110. Said opposing inward facing retaining ridges 117 are designed to retain said shaft portions 120 and 220 once snapped or slid into place.

[0022] One familiar with the art would recognize that the configuration of said upper end head portion 110 could be comprised of alternative shaped arms and spaces as well as more or less arms or spaces as shown herein. For example, said plurality of spaces 114 could be configured to accept a square shaft portion 120 diameter 121. Any alternative upper end head portion 110 configuration, which achieves the primary connection function as described herein is expressly contemplated by this disclosure.

One familiar with the art would recognize that the Novel Connecting Golf Tee could be configured in multiple lengths to accommodate different golf club head heights so long as the shape of said shaft portion 120 diameter 121 remains consistent. As such, a golfer could connect together and pre-organize sets of Novel Connecting Golf Tees according to their planned club selection for the tee offs of the golf course being played. Or, golfers could connect together sets of Novel Connecting Golf Tees of the same length to organize said Tees by length. As such, a golfer would be able to locate the appropriate length tee without sorting through handfuls of tees floating around in a pocket or golf bag compartment.
