Abstract
A doll or action figure with facial features customized to a particular individual includes a body; a head on the body, hair on the top, sides, and back of the head, and a mask-receiving recess on the front of the face, the mask-receiving recess having a perimeter extending across the top of the head adjacent the hair line, and generally downwardly at each side of the head adjacent the hairline; and a mask having facial features customized to the particular individual, seated in the mask-receiving recess on the front of the face.

A doll or action figure with facial features customized to a particular individual, comprising: a body; a head on the body, hair on the top, sides, and back of the head, and a mask-receiving recess on the front of the face, the mask-receiving recess having a perimeter extending across the top of the head adjacent the hair line, and generally downwardly at each side of the head adjacent the hairline; the portion of the perimeter extending across the top of the face adjacent the hairline having a shape with plurality of recesses and protuberances following the hairline; and a mask having facial features customized to the particular individual, seated in the mask-receiving recess, the mask having a top edge with a shape complementary to the shape of the portion of the perimeter extending across the top of the face.
13. The doll or action figure according to claim 12, wherein the hairline on the head includes sideburns on each side of the head, and wherein the portion of the perimeter of the recess that extends generally downwardly at each side of the head extends adjacent the forward edge of the sideburn, generally adjacent the bottom of the sideburn, and adjacent the rearward edge of the sideburn; and wherein the mask has side edges complementary to the portion of the perimeter of the recess that extends generally downwardly at each side of the head.
14. A doll or action figure with facial features customized to a particular individual, comprising: a body; a head on the body, hair on the top, sides, and back of the head, and a mask-receiving recess on the front of the face, the mask-receiving recess having a perimeter extending across the top of the head adjacent the hair line, and generally downwardly and rearwardly at each side of the head, to a point intermediate the top and bottom of the head, and then generally downwardly and forwardly; a mask having facial features customized to the particular individual, seated in the mask-receiving recess, the mask includes an ear or each side, a portion of which projects beyond the perimeter of the mask receiving recess, over the head; and wherein the hair comprises filaments projecting from the head.
15. The doll or action figure of claim 14 wherein the filaments are formed integrally with the head.
16. The doll or action figure of claim 14 wherein the filaments are secured to the head with adhesive.
17. The doll or action figure of claim 14 wherein the filaments are rooted through a network of holes formed in the head.
18. A doll or action figure with facial features customized to a particular individual, comprising: a body; a head on the body, hair on the top, sides, and back of the head, and a mask-receiving recess on the front of the face, the mask-receiving recess having a perimeter extending across the top of the head adjacent the hair line, and generally downwardly and rearwardly at each side of the head, to a point intermediate the top and bottom of the head, and then generally downwardly and forwardly; and a mask having facial features customized to the particular individual, seated in the mask-receiving recess, the mask includes an ear or each side, a portion of which projects beyond the perimeter of the mask receiving recess, over the head; wherein the mask receiving recess does not extend to the neck and the mask overlies the neck and the bottom face portion of the head.
