    Abstract

A new and distinct cultivar of Rosa plant for garden use named ‘NOA20059’ is disclosed, characterized by semi-double brilliant red flowers on plants with rapid re-flowering. Plants have excellent resistance to blackspot, powdery mildew, downy mildew and rust diseases. Plants are dense and compact with uniform growth and are well suited for landscape use, especially as a groundcover. The new variety is a Rosa, normally produced as an outdoor garden or container plant.

    Claims

    1. A new and distinct groundcover rose plant named ‘NOA20059’ as herein illustrated and described.

    Description

    BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PHOTOGRAPH

    (1) The accompanying photograph illustrates in full color a typical plant of ‘NOA20059’. Age of the plant photographed is approximately 3 years. The photograph was taken using conventional techniques and although colors may appear different from actual colors due to light reflectance it is as accurate as possible by conventional photographic techniques.

    DETAILED BOTANICAL DESCRIPTION

    (2) In the following description, color references are made to The Royal Horticultural Society Colour Chart 1995 except where general terms of ordinary dictionary significance are used. The following observations and measurements describe ‘NOA20059’ plants grown outdoors, in Gutersloh, Germany. The growing temperature ranged from approximately −1° C. to 35° C. during the day and from approximately −16° C. to 20° C. during the night. General light conditions are bright, normal sunlight. Measurements and numerical values represent averages of typical plant types. Botanical classification: Rosa ‘NOA20059’. Commercial classification: Groundcover rose.
