    Abstract

An adhesive bituminous sheath for building includes bitumen and an adhesivizing additive mixed with the bitumen, wherein the adhesivizing additive is an aliphatic and cycloaliphatic resin.

    Claims

    1. Adhesive bituminous sheath for building, comprising bitumen and an adhesivizing additive mixed with bitumen, characterized in that the said adhesivizing additive is an aliphatic and cycloaliphatic resin, wherein said sheath comprises a weight percentage of aliphatic and cycloaliphatic resin comprised between 1 and 4% of the total weight of the sheath, in such manner that the sheath can be permanently welded to supports having an organic and/or inorganic base.

    2. The sheath of claim 1, wherein the said aliphatic and cycloaliphatic resin mainly comprises oligomers derived from C5 unsaturated hydrocarbons and fractions of C4 and C6 hydrocarbons, wherein the said oligomers derived from C5 unsaturated hydrocarbons comprise one or more of the following oligomers: pentenes, pentadienes, cyclopentenes and cyclopentadienes.

    3. The sheath of claim 2, wherein the said aliphatic and cycloaliphatic resin comprises REGALITE R 1 100.

    4. The sheath of claim 1, wherein the said sheath also comprises a bitumen modifier.

    5. The sheath of claim 4, wherein the said bitumen modifier comprises: vulcanized rubber powder with granulometry lower than 0.4 mm, SBS, and Lubricant.

    6. The sheath of claim 4, wherein the said sheath comprises a weight percentage of bitumen modifier comprised between 10 and 30% of the total weight of the sheath.

    7. Use of a bitumen modifier for obtaining an adhesive bituminous sheath for building, which is suitable for being permanently welded to supports having an organic and/or inorganic base, the said bitumen modifier comprising an adhesivizing additive, characterized in that the said adhesivizing additive is an aliphatic and cycloaliphatic resin, and the said bitumen modifier comprises a weight percentage of aliphatic and cycloaliphatic resin comprised between 10% and 40% of the total weight of the bitumen modifier.

    8. The use of a bitumen modifier according to claim 7, wherein the said bitumen modifier is an extruded product obtained from extruding a mixture comprising: Vulcanized rubber powder with granulometry lower than 0.4 mm, SBS, Lubricant, and Aliphatic and cycloaliphatic resin.

    9. Manufacturing process of an adhesive bituminous sheath for building, comprising a step in which bitumen is mixed with an aliphatic and cycloaliphatic resin at a temperature of 170190 C.

    10. The manufacturing process of a bitumen modifier used to modify the bitumen of an adhesive bituminous sheath for building, comprising the extrusion of the following components: vulcanized rubber powder with granulometry lower than 0.4 mm, SBS, lubricant and aliphatic and cycloaliphatic resin in such manner to obtain an extruded product.

[0072] The aforementioned examples and the results obtained in the Peeling Test demonstrate that the aliphatic and cycloaliphatic resin gives higher adhesive properties both compared to the aromatic and the colophonic resin.

[0073] The high value obtained in the peeling test in example 1, compared to examples 2 and 3 with the same concentration of adhesive resin, is due to the different solubility of the aliphatic resin in the bitumen, which determines a surface accumulation with a consequent increase of its local concentration.

[0074] In fact, the other two resins (aromatic resin and colophonic resin) are perfectly soluble in the bitumen, therefore these resins do not originate migration phenomena towards the external surfaces, the adhesive concentration remains practically constant in all parts of the bituminous mixture and the results of the peeling test are consequent to such a characteristic.
